Diana pov
I wake up the next morning and roll out of bed. There was a storm outside. I went downstairs.

Alright, call me if anything's wrong. Dad said to someone on the phone and hung up.

Good morning Dia. He said and picked me up.

Morning dad. I say sleepily.

Sleepy? He asked.

Yeah. I say and bury my head in his chest. Just like when I used to when I was little.

So, there is a red alert due to the storm outside. So what do you wanna do today anything but it should be indoors. Dad says.

What's a red alert? I ask.

Do not move unless you wanna risk your life. He says.

So we are at home today? I ask.

Yeah. He says.

Yay. I say.

He laughs and sets me on the couch.

So what do you wanna do? He asks.

Monopoly. I say

Really? He asks.

Yeah. I wanna play that we haven't done that in months. I say.

We can do that. First, the tickling monster is coming. He says and begins to tickle me.

Dad stop. I say laughing.

He stops, looks at me and starts again.

After some time he finally stops.

Alright, I am gonna cook something for breakfast, go shower and wake Nick up. He says.

Okay. I say and run up and nick was there lying in his bed sleeping peacefully

Nick wake up. I say as i nudge him up.

I dont feel like it. He says as he pulls the covers over his head.

Should I call dad? I ask.

No don't, I just wanna sleep more. He says.

Okay I am showering then after I am waking you up. I say and go to shower.

After some time, I come out. Nick isn't in the room so I get ready. After, I get downstairs. Nick is laying down on the couch and talking to dad. Dad was cooking for us all. 

Soon, we all were done with breakfast.

Dad and Nick went to shower and I turned the tv on.

After about 30 minutes they both came down. After, me and Nick fighting we agree on Monoply. As dad had the last vote.

I take it out and we start playing.

After 1 hour,

I win. I have the most cities and money. Dad says.

That's not fair. You are the oldest. I say

Nope everything is fair. He says as the doorbell rings.

Who would be there in the middle of a red alert? I thought as I saw out of the window the storm being cleared out.

Dad opened the door. It was some unknown lady that was clear by the look on dads face. She just barged right in.

How can I help you? Dad asked the woman.

Are you Mr. Samuel Radford? She asks.

Yeah. Dad says.

Well, there has been investigation going on and due to your work hours you are not fit to take care of diana and Nicholas. She says.

I have them since the last 4 years you can't just take them without their wishes. Dad says.

The investigation was conducted cause their birth parents want them back. She says.

The parents who left us at an fure station when we were just born. No. I say.

Dia, just let me handle this okay. Dad says.

Okay dad. I say.

Yeah they left them at a fire station when they were 5 days old. Someone was kind enough to leave them at orphange and some years later I adopted them legally. Dad says.

Well, now they are here so they both need to leave. She says as a  man and a woman come into the house.

Hey Diana, hey Nicholas. The lady says as she approaches us.

We both quickly hide behind dad. He holds both our hands like he always did when we were scared and we didn't want to leave him we didn't wanna go to our birth parents.

Hey dont go. She says.

They are free to do that. Dad says.

Yeah, but I am their mom. She says.

You cant do anything against their will. He says protecting us.

The woman backs down.

Well, legally the birth parents can take them anytime. So, You both need to pack your bags right now. The woman says to both of us as she goes up with us to our room

Samuel pov

Their birth parents were lawyers respected lawyers. I didn't want them to go they are the most important part of my life I love them with my whole heart. I have to be strict so they must be disciplined but I cant let them go.

The woman was right birth parents have those rights.

After, some time Nick and Dia come down with bags in their hand and crying.

I run up to them and hug them.

Shhh, kids dont cry. You will be back here before you know it okay. I won't let you go. I say.

They both hug me back and even after 10 minutes they didn't let go.

Dad we will miss you. Nick says.

Just wait, and you will be back here. I say.

The woman takes them and they just go with tears in their eyes. I quickly remembered Nicks meds I ran up to his room and run up to give them to him.

They were sitting in a car.

Nick Take care these are the meds just take them today and tomorrow night. I say as I wipe his tears and kiss his forehead and after I do the same to Diana.

I go inside.
