Chapter 18: SHUT DOWN!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHUT DOWN?!
NECTAR
Nectar sat in her silk hammock, her tail twitching nervously. Ever since Alaska left she'd more been agitated than usual but she wasn't sure why. Was it possible she worried for the hybrid princess? No. Nectar shook her head. Alaska wasn't her friend, she was just a Clawmate, plus any close friend or family would just treat her like nothing.
"Like Mother and Father did," he mind whispered
Nectar shook her head. They were gone. She wouldn't be found. She was on a whole different continent for Clearsight's sake. Her human, Hydrangea grunted as she climbed the silk rope leading up to the hammock.
"Nectar, for the last time, not all dragons are like your parents," the little human said, putting a hand on her talon.
Nectar smiled at Hydrangea. At there was someone she could trust. She grabbed another book, this one about how the OtherMind was stopped, and curled up in her hammock to read. As she was reading about how Luna flew into the Abyss to find and save Dusky, her mind circled back to her parents. Would they do that? Risk dying to save their only daughter? No. They wouldn't. She bit her her lip as tears threatened to fall. She wished her parents cared.
She, down her book, she lay her head in her talons, dreaming of the past as she fell asleep.

"Dragonet! Get me a drink!" Sunflower snarled at the nameless HiveWing who squeaked and scrambled away, returning with a lime lemon drink.
Her mother snarled and raked her claws across the dragonet's snout.
"I SAID WITH ICE YOU MISERABLE IDIOTIC FLUFF BRAIN!"
The dragonet flinched away and quickly returned with some ice, dropping it in the drink. Sunflower sat back, sipping her drink as the dragonet scampered away to weed the garden. The HiveWing sat in the garden, digging up carrots and potatoes, when suddenly her arm broke through the soil into a small den, probably from the gophers she had scared away a few moons ago.
"Hey!" Squeaked a small voice, A small head popping out of the hole.
The HiveWing yelped, scrambling back, crushing the basket of potatoes. She winced at the splinters in her tail, wiping the mashed potato off. She looked at the animal noticing it's hair pulled into a ponytail and the scraps of cloth wrapped around it.
"How did you talk?!" Squeaked to small dragonet, still staring at it.
"I'm a human, and I learned your language," said the animal, scrambling out of the hole and coming up to her.
The dragonet looked at the "human" trying to absorb and register what it said.
"Ok..."
A door creaked open and talon steps sounded in the grass. The HiveWing dragonet looked behind her in fear waving the human away.
"Go!" She whispered, gently picking it up and putting it in the bushes.
"My mother is coming!"
The human protested a bit but the dragonet shushed it, fear evident in her eyes.
"Please!"
The human nodded, quieting down. Suddenly, a talon grabbed her by the tail, yanking her away. She stared into the egg yellow eyes of her mother.
"What have you done!" Hissed Sunflower, talons sinking into the dragonet's tail.
"The potatoes are crushed, the basket ruined, and the garden destroyed!" Roared Sunflower, raking her claws across the dragonets wing, tearing the membrane. She cries out, tears welling up in her eyes.
Sunflower stabs the tail stinger into the dragonets neck then grabs her by the tail, dragging into the house. The dragonet's scared frozen eyes stared back into the human's horrified blue eyes before the door slammed shut, sealing her from view. She stared into her mom's eyes, the egg yellow sucking her in.

Nectar yelped as the gong rang out, shooting awake and tumbling out of her hammock Topaz helped her up and she nodded in gratitude.
"What's going on?" She squeaked.
"Gathering in the main hall," she simply said walking out.
Nectar scrambled after the SkyWing, nearly running into Dawnbreaker.
"Sorry." She told the AllWing.
Dawn nodded and Nectar went with the crowd as they gathered into the main hall. There on a raised, platform, stood three SeaWing soldiers. The whispers died down as one of them waved their talon, shushing the crowd of students.
"It has been declared by Queen Wavepool, that JMA will be shut down, all the other Rulers agree," he called.
Gasps and whispers erupted from the crowd of dragonets, and a few yelled out protests, but not as loud as Nectar's.
"SHUT DOWN!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHUT DOWN?!" She shrieked, shooting up, the protest loud enough to break glass. It echoed around the room.
Eyes swivel towards her and Nectar crouched, covering her head with her wings.
"Yes shut down HiveWing!" One of them snarled, glaring at her.
"You all have until sunset to be packed up and out of here, back to wherever you live, Pantalan dragons and hybrids will be sent back to Pantala, now go!" He ordered.
A sad sigh rippling amongst the students, they headed to their rooms. Nectar trudged away to pack up.

Sitting by the entrance, The HiveWing looked at the sunset disappearing into the water. Hydrangea hugged her neck.
"Don't worry, we'll find a place away from your parents," she whispered.
Nectar nodded, wiping the tears from her eyes. A rock hit Nectar's head and she flinched with a small whimper, looking back behind her. A HiveWing, Whitefly, if she remembered correctly, hid in the bushes waving her closer. Nectar cocked her head then scrambled quietly closer.
"Nectar, right?" Whitefly whispered.
She silently nodded.
"Follow me."
"But why, we're about to leave for Pantala, they ordered us to stay here." Nectar whispered back, eyes wide in fear.
"You'll see, now come on," Whitefly hissed, eyes narrowed.
They ducked back into the halls of JMA and and Nectar danced in place for a moment eyes switching between the approaching guards and the cave before she squeaked, quickly darting into the dark tunnels of the deserted school.

Nectar scrambled after Whitefly until they came into the art room. Her golden eyes scanned the room and then met Whitefly's gaze. The HiveWing then disappeared behind a tapestry and Nectar followed them until they came to a cavern with Pantalan dragonets all around, putting up a map, reading books, planing.
"Whoa," breathed Nectar trying to absorb the whole scene.
"Yup," said Whitefly, their eyes serious.
"Welcome to the rebellion."

DAWNBREAKER
The AllWing silently growled as she landed in Possibility, walking towards the nearest clinic. She opened the door and Fir, her adopted father, whirled and saw her, happiness and confusion appearing on his face.
"Dawnbreaker, your back," he said, smiling and wrapping her in a hug.
Dawn nodded, hugging him back. The to sat there for a moment, wings around each other. Fir then unwrapped his wings and looked at his dragonet.
"Why are you home so early?" He asked, wiping away a small tear Dawnbreaker hadn't noticed was there.
She wrote on a paper and handed to her father.
"JMA was closed down by Queen Wavepool," she wrote.
"That's weird," he said, standing up. Dawnbreaker nodded, following to help organize herbs.
"The all the other queens unanimously agree?"
Dawn nodded, yawning.
"Dawn, go rest your tired," Fir said, taking Dawnbreaker's bag.
Dawn looked at her father with a, "Do I have to?" look and he nodded. She silently sighed and went to go to bed.

Dawn grit her teeth muttering in her sleep."One sides, hides, smiles and provides." She cried out in agonizing pain and Fir came rushing in, shaking dawn awake.
"Honey, are you ok?" He asked, wrapping his wings around the shaky AllWing.
"What happened?" She wrote, talons shaking.
He read the question and gave her a grim look.
"Dawnbreaker, you were muttering in your sleep."
She gasped, well more a big, silent inhale of hair. He nodded, eyes grim.
"You, were having a vision."
