I thought of a really cool idea! I wanna make a team of archers called The Eyeless Arrows. Because they're all blind and were that way for different reason. I also wanted them all to be chained to their past (literally) but turned it into a thing to strengthen themselves. (This is all set in a fantasy world)

So the first one was a man who was originally a slave. He was blinded by one of his masters, who, in a fit of rage, poured wax on his eyes, burning them out. When he got older and had less use. He was chained to a strong tree branch and left to die, but he was still strong despite his age and his lack of sight, so he broke the branch off the tree, then bent it into a bow, turning it into a fully functional one with the help of the other Eyeless Arrows members. He puts a blindfold over his eyes so the burns don't get further damage. And he never unchained himself, to know he broke free from the chains of slavery, and to keep track of the bow.

The second is the daughter of a blacksmith. She was born blind, which anger her father since he thought she wouldn't be able to help with his business, he abused her, mostly mentally. Telling her she was useless because of her disability, and she was a shame on his name. But she wanted to prove him wrong, she made herself an entire suit of chainmail armor, along with a bow, she then left to show she can hold her own, meeting the other members of the Eyeless Arrows. She always had burn scars in the shape of chains, but she didn't mind them, since she couldn't see them, plus the chains were no longer holding her.

(This story may sound extreme. But it's a fantasy world,) The third is a young thief. He was caught trying to steal arrows. So he was dragged to jail. His eyes were sewed shut, and he was chained to the very arrow he was trying to steal. He was tortured for a year or two. But he was witty, he used the arrow he had chained to to stabbed his torturer. He stole the cape and hood the man wore, he also took a lever attached to a machine and left the dungeon. He bent the lever into an arrow shape. And met the rest of the Eyeless Arrows once he left the gruesome kingdom.

Our last member started as a pirate. She was young, and boisterous. But it made her cocky. She attacked another ship. But it was too much to handle, her and her crew were all taken prisoner, they were chained up in the 'tween deck. She was always trying to escape, she even poked her eyes out in one attempt. Which no one wanted to see, so they put eyepatches over them. They were trapped down there for a long time, until the ship started to sink. Her entire crew drowned, and she didn't want that fate, she broke the chains off the planks holding her, she then swam all the way up to the surface, once she got there, she found a bow floating there. So she picked it up and made it to land, where the rest of the Eyeless Arrows found her
