I don't know why, but Mom thinks that the internet is so bad that it's best that I quit Wattpad when I start 9th grade. She keeps saying how online friends are untrustworthy, could easily cheat you, and teaches you for the worse.

She read my notifications from Wattpad and saw that some of my Wattpad friends cussed a little and said some stupid and inappropriate stuff. By the way, Mom thinks that cussing makes a person a really bad person.

I mean, I completely understand why she wants me to lay off the internet more and actually socialize more. It is for the better if I don't hang onto the internet too much and actually try to socialize.

What I don't understand, though, is why she finds it necessary to make me quit Wattpad for the rest of my life, starting with the first day of 9th grade.

I understand if it's to let me concentrate on my studies and to force me to socialize more. Still, don't permanently remove it just because you think the internet's terrible!

She's even willing to get me Facebook to get me to quit Wattpad! Mom's especially worried about me getting Facebook since there's a ton of mature content on Facebook, so that shows how much she detests Wattpad. (Actually, I do have Facebook, but I rarely even use it).

Luckily, she's letting me play and whatever during the weekends next year, so I may be able to still get on. However, if she doesn't want me to go on Wattpad even during the weekends, then it'd be really difficult to keep Wattpad from her by a couple of month's time.

(And I have 17 - no, 18 - accounts, too. How am I supposed to keep up with them??)
