The ringing of her phone, broke her reverie. She saw that Mr. Desai is calling her. She gave the file at the reception and asked to send it to Sameer right away, thinking he might read it and moved towards the elevator. She decided to talk with Sameer later, once she's done with the matter of Mr Bhatia. Naina reached the HR department and called for Mr Bhatia in her cabin.

She was sitting and still thinking about all that happened just few moments ago, when there was a knock on the door and she came out of her thoughts. She maintained a professional face and asked the person at the door to come in. Mr Bhatia came and sat in front of her.....

Naina: Mr Bhatia....dekhiye.....

Bhatia: Madam please aap mana mt kijiye....

Naina: (a bit loudly) Aap mujhe pehle meri baat to poori krne dijiye.....

Bhatia was shocked for a moment then nodded his head....

Naina: (calming down herself) I'm sorry about this.....Maine baat ki h....we'll sanction your loan...

Bhatia's face lit up....

Naina: Lekin....

Bhatia: Lekin kya madam?

Naina: Lekin ab aapko six months ki jagah 1 saal baad retirement milega aur every month aapki salary mei se 20,000 deduct honge.....

Bhatia: (shocked) kyu madam?

Naina: Dekhiye hum aapse poora amount pay back krne k liye nii keh re hain....aur naa hi koi interest coz aap Nanu k puraane aur is company k bahot hi respectable employee hain....lekin kuchh to aapko pay back krna hi hoga....we cannot go against the company policy.....if you agree I can call for the papers.....

Mr Bhatia sat there thinking. There was definitely no other option for him than accepting this offer. He sighed and just hummed in response......

Naina called for the papers and both signed it with also Mr Desai signing as evidence. This whole procedure took more than an hour and it was already 6 by the time she finished. Once done, she decided to go and talk with Sameer about the file. But before that, she did her entire research about this matter and also the people involved in it.....

On the other hand, Sameer was sitting in his cabin, when there was a knock on the door. He knew it would be either Naina or his friends or the only peon who was allowed. He loudly called...

Sameer: Come in.....

And he again got engrossed in his work. When he didn't hear anything, he looked up and was shocked to see Sunaina in front of him. As always she wore only a namesake outfit and heaves of makeup. Sameer became angry instantly as he cannot forget, how this same witch had tried to harm his wife....his Naina.....He stood up with a jerk, banging both his hands on the table and asked in a very angry voice.....

Sameer: How dare you come here?

But Sunaina had a smile plastered on her face.....she came and sat right across his seat.....and Sameer was seeing her with rage and now with her behaviour his expressions changed to confusion.....seeing him confused, Sunaina cleared her throat and continued....

Sunaina: Sammy bab....I mean Sammy please have a seat....I'm here on behalf of my dad....for business.....

Sameer looked at her, still not convinced but still sat down as she mentioned business, and Sameer never mixed his personal and professional life.....he sat down and seeing this Sunaina again continued....

Sunaina: See Sammy I'm sorry....I did love you a lot...and I still do....

Saying this she tried to keep her hand on top of his....but he moved his hand back and Sunaina seethed in anger, but continued again, plastering a lip tight smile on her face.....

Sunaina: See....jo b hua let's move past it and start afresh......

She kept looking at Sameer with a smile and he thought over her idea and then gave a small nod at her.....

Sunaina: By the way congratulations for your wedding....

Sameer: Thanks Sunaina....

Sunaina: Ok...so I'm here coz papa ne kuchh papers bheje hain.....unhe sign kr do....as it's urgent....new deal k papers h....which you finalised...remember?

Sameer: Yeah....but then I left for holidays, to time hi nii mila. Achha hua uncle ne yaad se bnwa liye.....

Sunaina: Yeah......

Sameer was about to read the papers again, as since Nanu had been cheated in business, he's always taught all of them to read the papers before signing them, be it from anyone. But before he could read the papers, Sunaina again spoke to distract his mind.....

Sunaina: Waise I've seen the pictures from your honeymoon on Insta....you looked really hot....

Sunaina said with a glint if mischief in her eyes and smirk on her face......she was openly and shamelessly ogling over him......Sameer shifted on his chair, getting uncomfortable.......but he did not want to create any scene......

He was trying hard to read the papers, but Sunaina kept talking to him and passing comments on him and got up from her place and stood behind his chair keeping both her hands on the back of his chair, which were making him uncomfortable. He decided to just sign the papers for now and read them later, as it is they've been dealing with the Parekhs for years now. He was just about to sign, when Naina came in opening the door with a bang. Sameer was afraid, that what Naina might think of it, she may again get angry on him......but she seemed to be in a different daze. She ignored Sunaina's presence totally and seeing her coming towards himself, Sameer stood up and reached her with long strands........

He held her face gently in his palms and asked with a worried face.....

Sameer: Naina....kya hua jaan? Are you ok baby?

Sameer specifically emphasised on words jaan and baby......and as expected, hearing these words from his mouth Sunaina seethed in anger.....as she's been trying on him for past so many years, but he never even spared a glance at her.....and to add to her anger, Naina hugged Sameer immediately and he got more worried, totally forgetting about the presence of a third wheel.....

Naina: Sameer please ghar jana h....I'm not feeling good.....

Sameer: Kya hua Naina? Dr k paas chalein kya?

He got really worried listening that she isn't well.....

Naina: Nii bs ghar jana h....please naa.....

Seeing all this, Sunaina couldn't take it anymore and stormed out of the cabin and in a hurry, she forgot to take the file with her.

Sameer: Achha ok...chalo.....

Sameer took out his mobile and called the driver to keep the car ready.....he took the file and his office bag and collecting Naina's stuffs from her cabin, they both moved towards the elevator to go home. Just when they sat in the car, Pandit called Sameer, as he had records of each and every car that enters or exits Maheshwari industries and also Maheshwari estates.

Sameer: Haan Pandit bol...

Pandit: Bhai kya hua? Itni Jldi mei nikal gaya...all ok?

Sameer: Haan vo Naina ki tabiyat shayad kharab h....isiliye...

Pandit: Kya hua bhabhi ko?

Sameer: Pata nii kuchh bol nii rii....maybe tired....

Pandit: Chal theek h....dhyaan rakh hum ghar p milte hain....kuchh ho to batana....

Sameer: Haan ok...chal bye....

Pandit: Bye.....

They both disconnected the phone. All this while, Naina didn't say anything, but just kept sitting clinging on to him.

Naina: (in mind) I'm sorry Sameer....Maine aapse jhooth bola....mujhe pta h aap kitne pareshaan ho gye honge.....meri tabiyat ka sun k....but us waqt Sunaina ko aapke saath dekh k Mai smjh gyi thi...ki aapne papers nii padhe......isiliye mujhe jhooth bolna pada....agar aaj aap vo papers sign kr dete to pata nii kya hi ho jata.....

Her chain of thoughts was broken by his voice.....

Sameer: Naina hua kya h? Please batao naa....

Naina: Kuchh nii....bs aapse kuchh baat krni h...akele mei....

Sameer: Naina vo sb baad mei....pehle mujhe batao tumhaari tabiyat kyu kharab h?

Naina: Mujhe kuchh nii hua....I lied...

She said looking down, and Sameer was shocked....but also a bit angry....

Sameer: Naina....tumhe pata b h ki mai kitna darr gaya tha....aisa koi jhooth bolta h kya?

Naina: I'm sorry Sameer....lekin us waqt aur koi option nii tha mere pass....

Sameer: Naina...I know Tum Sunaina ko pasand nii krti.....lekin still....this isn't the way....aur...

Naina: Sameer...please baad mei daant lijiyega.....Abhi jo mujhe kehna h that's very important warna bahot problem ho jayegi....please try to understand.....

Saying this Naina had tears in her eyes and she started shivering like a dry leaf.....Sameer got concerned and his anger was immediately taken over by his worries......

Sameer: Naina kya hua h please batao naa....ab mujhe seriously darr lg raa h.....

Naina: Aap please sbko ghar bulaiye immediately and mai b ghr p call krke bol deti hu hall mai aane k liye....Deepika tuition gyi hogi to uska b problem nii h........

Sameer: Naina lekin.....

Naina: please....

Sameer immediately called Mundit and Rohan and asked them to come home right away. They too got worried, but Sameer didn't say anything. Naina also called at home and talked with Vishakha. She too got worried and asked her as to what the matter was, but Naina just asked them to wait in the living room.....

As soon and Samaina entered the house, they saw Nanu, Nani, Vishakha and Vivek sitting in the living room with worried and tensed faces. Just after them, Rohan too entered......All barraged her with questions....

Nanu: Naina...beta baat kya h?

Nani: Haan beta tumne sbko achanak aise kyu bula lia .....

Rohan: Haan bhabhi....Preeti ka b phone aaya tha....use b kuchh nii pata......

Sameer: mai b kb se yahi poochh raa hu...but Naina kuchh bata hi nii rii....

Naina: Aaplog please rukiye thodi der....mai sbko sb kuchh batati hu.....bas baaki sbko aa jaane dijiye....please....

Sameer: Lekin Naina....

Nanu: Nii Sameer agar Naina bol rii h....to sbko aane do.....

They kept on waiting and after some time, Mundit entered with Swapreeamrita at their heels.....even they looked too worried about all this.....

Munna: Kya hua bhai? Aise achanak kyu bula lia?

Pandit: haan aur sb itne pareshaan kyu lg re ho....sb theek h naa?

Swati: Haan tumlog b suddenly ghar aa gye....

Amrita: Aur to aur sb yahan Ek saath khade ho?

Preeti: Naina....behen bata naa kya hua h....Sameer tum hi bata do....humein bahot tension ho rii h....kuchh problem h kya?

Sameer was getting anxious and also irritated with these continuous questions.....he said a bit loudly...

Sameer: Mujhse kya poochh re ho? Naina se poochho....tb se sb poochh re Hain....but madam kuchh bolne hi taiyaar nii h.....

Nanu: Sameer....have some patience....

Sameer: Sorry Nanu....

Nanu: Hmm...Naina beta ab to batao ki kya hua h?

Naina: Nanu...Sameer....aap sb ko yaad h ki kaise Nana Jii ki company raaton raat band ho gyi thi....

All looked at her with anxious faces and nodded at her question....

Nanu: Haan beta...kaise bhool skta hu vo sb...jiski wajah se mujhe apna ghar...apna sheher chhodna pada tha....aur to aur Sameer ko b aur kuchh saal akele rehna pada tha....

Nanu said all this with a sad expression and taking out his glasses wiped his tears...from the corner of his eyes....Nani kept her hand on his shoulders....giving him the much needed strength....Sameer was again back to his worried self and moved towards Naina and gently held her hand....

Sameer: Haan lekin humein kabhi pata nii chala ki kon tha in sb k peechhe....

Vivek: Lekin beta aaj achanak? Kya baat h?

Naina: Papa mujhe pata h ye sb kisne kia....

All were shocked at her statement.....

Sameer: Naina...ye tum kya? Mtlb tumhe kaise?

Naina took off her hands from his hold and then went towards the table where Sameer's bag was kept and took out the file, and handing it over to Nanu, she continued.....

Naina: Sameer aaj aapke saath b wahi hone wala tha jo bahot saal pehle Nanu k saath hua.....

All were listening to her with rapt attention, and all this while, Nanu was reading the file in his hands...and he sat down on the sofa with a thud....his eyes were brimming with fresh tears....all ran towards him...and Nani was sitting next to him....rubbing his arms....

Sameer: Nanu...kya hua....(shouting) Ramdhari paani laa Jldi....

Ramdhari came running with a glass of water....Sameer made Nanu take a few sips....when he was a bit normal, he looked towards Naina....who also had tears in her eyes.....Naina continued....

Naina: Nanu ko kisi aur ne nii...blki Mr Parekh ne hi cheat kia tha.....

All were shocked at this revelation.....

Munna: ye kya Bol rii h Naina?

Vishakha: Haan Naina....Parekh Jii to papa k bahot puraane aur achhe dost k bete h.....

Naina: Aur usi ka fayda uthaya h unhone.....

Naina took out another file from her bag, and handed it to Nanu.....

Naina: Nanu ki company ko dhokhe se Kartik associates ne take over kia tha....jb ki Nanu ne kabhi aisi kisi company k saath deal hi nii kia.....aur aaj wahi vo Sameer k saath krne waale the....and vo company Dubai based h....aur us waqt Nanu sirf nationally deal krte the....international deals unhone ki hi nii isiliye kabhi pata hi nii chala ki kisne Nanu ko cheat kia h.....aur Kartik associates kisi aur ki nii balki Mr Parekh k bete Kartik Parekh ki h.....aur us bete ko unhone hamesha sbse chhupa k rakha....

Sameer was totally shocked and was unable to speak....he could never imagine, that Mr Parekh will do such thing with him.....even though he didn't like Sunaina, but he always considered Mr Parekh as his closest and also respected him a lot.....

Rohan: Lekin bhabhi aapko kaise pata chala?

Naina: Aaj Maine HR department se Mr Bhatia ki file mangwayi thi....aur peon se kaha tha ki vo file mere cabin mei rakh de....and he had one more file jo vo Sameer k cabin mei rakhne jaa raa tha.....to he mixed up the files...and ye file mere cabin mei rakh di.....

Mai jb wapas gyi, Nanu se milne k baad...I opened the file before going to meet Mr Bhatia....and I was shocked....pehle mujhe laga hoga kuchh....but usme Sameer ka naam likha tha....to I read it.....jo b terms and conditions final huye, vo likha tha...but uske beech mei kuchh additional clauses the.....jinhe bahot ghuma fira k likha gaya tha.....

It said ki since Sameer didn't marry Sunaina, he's giving away all his shares of Maheshwari industries and SJM fashions to Kartik associates....with his own will.....and later he will not claim these papers or this deal to be false.....

In fact ye sb bahot pehle se hi planned tha. Mr Parekh k father Nanu k dost the....he wanted to get his son married to mummy...so that he can take over Nanu's business later as mummy unki Ek lauti beti hain.....but aisa nii hua....lekin Sameer k papa k jaane k baad unhone fir yahi socha.....kyu Sunaina ki mom was also no more.....but again he failed....isiliye unhone Nanu ki company k papers....unse sign krwa liye bina Nanu ko pata chale.....

Later jb Nanu ka business firse achha chal pada...aur unhone legally Sameer ko adopt kr lia...to unhone Sameer ki shaadi Sunaina se krwani chahi....but even this time, it didn't work.....isiliye unhone aaj papers k saath saath Sunaina ko bheja.....so that she can keep him distracted and Sameer will sign the papers.....Kartik, Sunaina ka twin bhai h....lekin kabhi kisi k saamne hi nii aaya....and they said that he studies in a hostel.....and then moved somewhere else....Kartik ko kabhi kisi ne dekha hi nii 5-6 ki age k baad......

No one present there could believe...that Mr Parekh could do something like this, as all considered him to be a gentleman and a man of his words......Hearing all this, Sameer came back to reality and got dead angry....

Sameer: Naina...tumne mujhe kuchh bataya kyu nii pehle?

Naina: Mai aapko batane hi aa rii thi....lekin us waqt Sunaina wahin thi...isiliye mujhe jhooth bolna pada....ki I'm not feeling well......

Sameer: Haan to kya hua? Agar Sunaina wahan thi...to aur b achha tha....use mai wahin theek kr deta.....

Naina was about to reply, but just then, they heard someone clapping loudly......and it was none other than Sunaina......She was clapping sarcastically.....

Sunaina: To tumhe pata chal hi gaya mera plan?

Sameer: Sunaina I won't leave you today.....you've crossed all your fucking limits......

He was about to move ahead....but Naina held her hand....she looked really tensed and scared....

Naina: Nii Sameer....please aap wahan mt jaiye.....

Sameer: Naina....

Sunaina: Kya hua? Darr gye the Sameer Maheshwari.....

Sameer: tumhe to mai....

Naina came in front of him and said in a trembling voice.....

Naina: Sameer....don't....she has a psychological problem.....uske anger management issues h that too to a very extreme level....she mentally disturbed......she can harm anyone severely....isiliye us time pe mujhe jo sahi laga maine kia......please aap uske pass mt jaiye......

Before Sameer or anyone else could react to this new information.......Sunaina came closer.....and.....

Naina's and everyone's eyes became wide as saucers.....she placed her hand on her head and bringing them in front, she saw her own blood in her hands.....Sameer immediately held her......tears were flowing out of Naina's eyes.....and Sunaina was standing behind her with a metal vase in her hand....which was full of blood stains now....and she was seething in anger and breathing heavily........

Sameer interchanged his place with Naina, so that Sunaina couldn't harm her anymore.....Naina's eyes were dropping....and blood was flowing out of her head......but seeing Sameer all fine, Naina still had a small smile on her face......and this irked Sunaina even more.....

She was about to hit, this time Sameer, but Naina again twirled him in a second and Sunaina again hit Naina's head.....Romundit came out of their shock....and came running towards Samaina....and held Sunaina in a strong grip.....she was shouting and screaming like a maniac.....Swapreeamrita, Nanu, Nani, Vivek and Vishakha ran towards Samaina......

With a second hit on her head....Naina lost her consciousness and fell on Sameer......and due to this sudden jerk, Sameer too fell down on his knees with a lifeless Naina in his arms......he had blood all over his shirt and also all around him......

Will this be an end to their story....which just started some time ago.....or is there more to it?
