After cutting the cake and feeding each other....all gathered hearing Rohan's voice....

Rohan: Hello....all the beautiful people present here.....so as you all know aaj hum yahan h...to celebrate the engagement of my bhai and bhabhi.....huge of round of applause.....

All started clapping and hooting for the lovely couple....

Rohan: Lekin this occasion will be incomplete without a couple dance by our very own...stars of the evening.....

Samaina looked at Rohan.....where Naina was shy, Sameer giving him anger glares for making Naina uncomfortable......

Munna: Looks dene se kuchh nii hoga....dance to krna hi padega.....

All started cheering for them....Sameer looked at Naina, with a questioning look....who gave a slight nod with a shy smile...Sameer smiled warmly at her...and held out his hand in front of her...she gently placed her small and warm palm on his big ones....he held it softly and took her towards the dance floor...

The lights became dim, and both Sameer and Naina both lost in each other...started moving softly with the music.....

Once the music stopped, their reverie was broken by the huge cheers and claps from everyone....all looked adoringly at the cute couple....both their parents had a sweet smile and a tinge of tears.....

They all hugged the couple and then moved towards the dining area....all the youngsters sat together whereas all the elders sat together discussing about the preparations for the wedding...

Nanu: Ab to bs shaadi ki taiyaariyan shuru krni h.....

Rakesh: Haan hum sb b jaate hi taiyaarion mei lg jayenge....

Vivek kept fidgeting with with his food....Vishakha nudged him multiple times....but he kept shrugging it off.....saying it was nothing....and tried to keep himself involved in the discussion going on....

On the other hand...Preeti tugged at Rohan's hand under the table...he looked at her and she whispered in his ear...

Preeti: Rohan...dekho yahan Dadi nii h...isse achha chance nii milega Nanu b h...humein support b mil jayega...please baat kro naa...

Rohan: Preeti ye koi time h kya baat krne ka?

Preeti: Haan kro...jao...

They kept arguing in low voices, but all other looked at them with weird expressions....Preehan looked up, when they felt silence all around them...and found all their friends looking at them....they gave them sheepish smiles and Preeti turned towards Rohan....mouthing a go...Rohan let out a sigh and got up and moved towards the table where all the elders were sitting together......

Rohan went and tapped at Vivek's shoulder....

Rohan: Papa...

Vivek turned towards Rohan and gave him a nod to continue....

Rohan: Papa actually I know, that this isn't the right time, but I need to talk to you about something.....

All went silent and looked towards Rohan...he became more nervous.....he started looking at everyone's faces, which were all puzzled and Preeti palmed her head seeing her husband behave like this with everyone. She also stood up from her place and went next to him and continued...

Preeti: Papa actually...Mai...au...aur Rohan ne kuchh decide kia h...I mean kuchh socha h...we needed your permission....

Vishakha: Kaisa decision beta?

Rohan: Mummy actually Mai aur Preeti...hum...hum...vo...

Vivek: Are vo...vo...kya krra h? Aage b bologe yaa nii?

Rohan: Papa...humdonomumbaishifthonachahtehain......

He said all this in one go....nobody could understand even a word he said....Sameer looked at Naina...she nodded at him and told him to go to Rohan...He nodded at Naina and went to him and held him by his shoulder.....

Sameer: Rohan kya baat h? Saaf saaf bol.....kuchh hua h kya?

Rohan took a deep breadth and said slowly...

Rohan: Actually papa...mummy...Preeti and I have decided to move from Delhi....papa mujhe Mumbai shift hona h....Sameer k saath and baaki sb k saath rehna h...I really loved in there....Papa please.....

Sameer: Rohan..tu ye...

Before he could say anything else....Vivek cut him in between.....

Vivek: Uski koi zaroorat nii h.....

Rohan and Sameer turned towards Vivek....

Rohan: Lekin papa....mujhe...

Vivek: Rohan maine kaha naa...iski zaroorat nii h...

Vishakha: Vivek aap please shaant ho jaiye....dekhiye hum baad mei baat krte hain araam se....Sameer, Rohan go and have your dinner.....

Vivek looked at Nanu and getting an approval from him...he again said...

Vivek: Ruko....Rohan tum aur Preeti Mumbai nii jaoge....Kyunki april mei hum sb khud hi Mumbai shift ho re hain.....

Rohan, Sameer and the entire gang gaped at him with open mouth.....even Vishakha was shocked...Naina's family was quite clueless about anything going on around them....whereas Rakesh, Rama, Bela and Anand were equally shocked with this......

Seeing all their expressions.....Vivek continued...

Vivek: Everyone I've an announcement to make....I've decided to announce Rohan as the new CEO of Somani industries and humaare company ka head office Mumbai move krne ka socha h maine .....now the head office will be Mumbai aur Mai...Vishakha, Rohan, Preeti aur Deepika b Mumbai shift ho jayenge.....humaare bade bete aur baaki family k saath.....

Everyone stood rooted to their place....nobody could say anything....they had mixed emotions of shock, surprise and happiness....Seeing everyone like this, Nanu said.....

Nanu: Isiliye humne achanak se Preeti aur Rohan ki shaadi krwaayi.....aur jb Vishakha aur Vivek aaye the...tb us din isiliye Mai aur Vivek alag chale gye the...office locations aur plot wagerah check krne k liye....ab hum sb saath mei Maheshwari estates mei hi rahenge.....Rohan jbse gaya tha..Sameer, Munna, Pandit aur hum sb b dukhi hi the...aur Delhi mei Rohan b khush nii tha...aur iske pehle ki koi b problems create ho....humne socha in dono ki shaadi krwa de...aur Vivek b yahi chahta tha, ki inki shaadi k baad ye sb Mumbai shift ho jaayein...aur shayad isi mei sbki bhalai b h....

Hearing Nanu, Sameer came back to reality....but his throat felt totally constricted, he could hardly speak...

Sameer: Nanu...aapko....pata?

Nanu: Haan ye faisla humne kaafi din pehle hi le lia tha...aur teri Nani b sb jaanti h.....

Nani: Haan beta...

Vivek came ahead and his hands on each of Rohan and Sameer's shoulder.....and continued...

Vivek: Beta....I realised it late, ki Maine hamesha tum dono bhaiyon ko alag rakha...but ab aur nii...jb Rohan Mumbai k baad Boston gaya...wahan se aane k baad he was totally changed....I saw how sad he used to be...staying away from his brothers...his friends...Preeti aur baaki sbke hote huye b...he was really alone...aur ab Vishakha (turning towards Vishakha) tumhe b apne teenon bachchon k saath rehna chahiye.....aur Mai b ab nii chahta ki mera parivaar alag rahe.....shayad samajhne mei der lg gyi...lekin now I know what's right for my family....

He had tears in his eyes....he folded his hands in front of his sons....

Vivek: I'm sorry bachchon...ho ske to apne papa ko maaf kr do please....

Both Sameer and Rohan held his hands...and moved their heads side ways and hugged him tightly.....

Romeer: papa please sorry mt boliye....

Vivek hugged his sons back...and everyone present their got emotional seeing this...Vishakha also joined the hug...when Deepika came in front pouting her face in anger....

Deepika: Aaplog mujhe bhool gye...

All came out of the hug....when Vishakha smiled at her daughter's antics and wiping her tears said....

Vishakha: Tumhe kaise bhool skte hain..dadi ammma aa jao...

She ran towards her family and Sameer lifted her up and they all hugged again...Nani and Nani were happiest seeing their family reunite....Nanu wiping his tears said to Nani...

Nanu: Dekha aapne...aaj humara toota hua parivaar fir ek baar jud gaya....

Nani: Haan Jai...aaj mai bahot khush hun...

Naina, Swati and Amrita came ahead and hugged Preeti.....they all shed some happy tears...whereas Mundit came running and hugged their brothers....after some time...all got normal and had their dinner. They all were more than happy...because today was indeed a very special day....not only Sameer and Naina were engaged but also, Sameer, got his entire family back in all the senses....

Sameer was really happy, but still there were a few questions that was making him anxious.....when all were moving out...he went to Nanu and Vivek who were discussing something....

Sameer: Papa...

Both turned towards him, and he continued...

Sameer: Aapne kaha ki aap, mummy, Rohan, Preeti aur Deepu Mumbai shift ho re hain...

Vivek nodded...

Sameer: To fir...vo...mera mtlb...h ki...da...Dadi?

Vivek knew that he would definitely ask him this question....he let out a deep sigh and kept his hand on Sameer's shoulder...

Vivek: Sameer...dekho...Maine jo b faisla lia h vo bahot soch samajh k lia h.....mummy yaa to Delhi mei rahengi....yaa apni London waali behen k pass....vo waise b London jana chahti thi...to ab yahi sahi...

Sameer: Lekin papa...vo aise akele...I mean...

Vivek: Nii Sameer mera decision final h...aur ab is baare mei koi discussion nii hoga...you deserve to live with your whole family...aur agar mummy tumhe family nii maan skti...to ab Mai unke liye aur kuchh nii kr skta.....

Saying this he left from there...Sameer then looked at Nanu...but he also just patted his shoulder and left from there.....they all sat in the cars and proceeded towards the hotel....Sameer was silent all the way....he didn't say anything...Naina could sense that something was bothering him...but she decided to give him some time....even she didn't say anything...she just kept holding his hand, to assure him that whatever is bothering him will be fine soon....

They all reached the hotel at around 11.30 and all being tired went directly to their rooms, bidding each other good night. When Naina saw that Sameer was still quite....she decided to talk to him....to try and know what's bothering him so much....

She went to her room and after changing into something comfortable, she came out of her room, locking the door behind her. She went towards Sameer's room, which was just next to hers and knocked.

Sameer was still sitting in his same outfit. He just loosened his tie and removed the coat. He was happy that now he will have his mom, dad, brother and his younger sister with him, but still felt bad for Dadi. He never wished anything bad for her. Even after so many years and all the pain caused by her, he couldn't bring himself to hate her....the person who once made him hate his existence...made him question his identity....but still....he couldn't hate or make himself wish anything bad for her....it wasn't like that he liked or respected her either.....in his initial days he tried to hate her....or thought so that he hated her....she took away his everything, but still he was not a kind of person to think or keep anything bad for anyone in his heart...and with time, her existence stopped bothering him...only when he got Vishakha and Vivek's love, he started fearing her...that Dadi might again do something to take away everything from him.....he was lost in his thoughts, when he heard a knock on his door. He went out and opening the door, he got worried seeing Naina there....at this time of the night...

Sameer: Naina...tum is waqt? Sb theek h naa? Koi problem h kya?

Naina: Haan...lekin aapne abhi tk change kyun nii kia?

Hearing her he looked down at himself, to realise that he hadn't changed his clothes.

Naina: Sameer...boliye naa...

Sameer: Umm..vo bs..kuchh krra tha..abhi change krne hi jaa raa tha...tum batao sb theek h naa? Kuchh chahiye tha kya?

Naina: Umm..mujhe aapse kuchh baat krni h...

Sameer: Haan bolo naa..kya baat h?

Naina: Yahan nii...koi aa jayega to achha nii lagega...neeche garden mei chalein?

Sameer nodded his head. He excused himself for a moment and went inside to get the keys. Once locking the door, they both walked towards the elevator to go to the garden area. When they reached there...Sameer again asked her...

Sameer: Naina...dekho ab mujhe naa tension ho rii h..batao naa kya baat h? Koi problem h kya?

Naina: Haan problem h...

Sameer: Kya hua? Tum...tumhe...tumhe kahin koi chot to nii aayi naa? Kisi ne kuchh kaha kya...yaa yaa fir....

He kept in blabbering not letting her speak.....she kept her finger on his lips and shushed him....he looked at her first and then at her slender finger on his lips...she followed his gaze and realised her position....she quickly removed her hand and looked down fidgeting with her fingers she mumbled slowly....

Naina: Sorry Sameer...vo..Mai...actually...aap...aap mujhe bolne hi nii de re the...isiliye..maine...ye...mera mtlb aise....

Sameer kept his finger under her chin and made her look at him...

Sameer: Naina...it's okk....don't be conscious...ab batao kya baat h?

She became normal and remembered as to why she was here,

Naina: Bahot der se dekh rii hun aapko......bahot pareshaan lg re hain...kya hua? Please bataiye naa...

Sameer: Nii Naina...aisa kuchh b nii h....bas vo thoda...

Naina: Thak gye hain...yahi naa?

Sameer: Ha....haan...yahi....

He didn't meet her gaze and she knew he's lying...

Naina: Mujhse jhoot bol re hain yaa khud se? Aur aapne hi kaha tha naa...ki hum best friends hain...to apni best friend ko nii batayenge? Aur Mai aapki hone waali biwi hun...aur isiliye aapse related har baat janne ka hak h mujhe...please bataiye naa....

He let out a long sigh and holding her hands he started...

Sameer: Naina...aisa nii h ki Mai khush nii hun...Mai...Mai bahot bahot khush hun....jbse Rohan wapas gaya tha...achha nii lgta tha...lekin uski wahan papa ko zaroorat h soch k khud ko smjha lia....lekin ab vo finally mere saath hi rahega...pehle ki tarah...

Naina: To fir kya baat h?

Sameer: Naina...Dadi....vo...vo wahan Delhi mei akeli...kaise? Papa ne kaha ki dadi yaa to Delhi mei rahengi yaa apni behen k paas London mei....aur meri khushi k liye...unhe is age mei aise akele....pata h Naina....pehle pehle maine bahot koshish ki...ki unhe hate krun.....aur krta b tha...lekin fir lagne laga ki glti unki nii shayad meri kismat ki hi h...jb meri khud ki maa ne nii apnaya...to kisi aur se kya hi shikayat kru.....mujhe unpe gussa b bs tb hi aata tha jb vo mere doston ko kuchh kehti thi...aur ab jb tumhe kuchh kehti hain....lekin apne liye bs ek darr hota tha...ki kahin vo firse sbko Mujhse dur naa kr dein....

She could see his fears clearly in his eyes.....

Sameer: Kahin unhe ye naa lage ki maine sbko unse dur kia h...aur isi baat ko excuse bana k firse mujhe akela kr dia to...

He shivered at this mere thought...even if everyone was away from him in Delhi....still he had his family now....but just a thought of loosing them....scared him to the core....Naina saw him and how he shivered with fear....she thought of nothing else...and just hugged him....

Keeping her head on his chest...she could hear his racing heartbeat....her hands wound around his waist....she hugged him tightly...Sameer did not register anything, until she pressed her hands on his back and caressed it....he looked at a petite girl...who looked so fragile but had the strength to ease out all his worries with just a mere touch.....he too hugged her back....

Both stood still....when she felt his heartbeat get normal, she gently moved away from his embrace and held his hand...

Naina: Kuchh nii hoga....koi aapse dur nii jayega....achha ek baat bataiye...aapko mujhpe bharosa h naa?

He kept looking at her and just hummed in response...

Naina: To fir aaj aapko humaari engagement p mai gift mei ek promise deti hun...ki mai kabhi kisi ko aapse dur nii jaane dungi....I'll always be a shield to your happiness.....I promise u...aapke kisi b rishte ko aapse dur nii jaane dungi....

He could see a strong determination in her eyes....he himself didn't know, but his heart always believed on her words...he gave a small smile to her....she just lifted herself up on her toes and holding his face with both her hands...she dropped a small assuring kiss on his forehead.....

He closed his eyes in bliss....

After some time, both retired to their rooms....as Naina and her family had to leave for Delhi the next afternoon.....but now Sameer was not anxious, now he was again to his normal self...and was again happy that Naina and he were engaged today....on the other hand, now Naina also felt better after seeing him normal, before he went to his room...

Both slept peacefully.......
