Nageshwari defends her clan and temple from an attack by Cheels and Gidhs. Bholenath gives a boon of getting human form to all and gives Nageshwari special powers, making her the Adi naagin. Hriday, being her pre-decided mate by elders, will also become adi naag but the pandit couple reveal that Nageshwari cannot be dictated a partner by the elders. She must select her own. Hriday, who was envious of her powers, hears this and tell them that he will break the news to her.

Nageshwari meets Akesh while running in the jungle. Akesh is instantly smitten and Nageshwari likes him as well. Hriday plots with the Cheel guru to kill Nageshwari with a special weapon that would extract her powers and give them to him. He promises nagmani in return. Akesh learns the plan and saves Nageshwari. She is slightly wounded and he cares for her. Nageshwari stops herself from confessing her liking as she has a saathi but the panditayan reveals that Nageshwari can accept however she wants.

Nageshwari wants to end things with Hriday first before accepting Akesh. Hriday kidnaps her and plans to kill her again. Akesh saves her but Hriday kills another nag and creates chaos. Amidst it, he kills Akesh while trying to kill Nageshwari. Nageshwari wounds Hriday and kills herself with the same knife that killed Akesh vowing to return to avenge her true mate. Hriday dies as he falls into the valley.
