Chandrakala and Balwant were pacing in the hall. It was getting really late and Vani were yet to return. Rituals can't be put on hold and many more were to begin next morning too so Meera's grahpravesh was done and all were sent to their rooms to rest. Now Chant/Bala were waiting for Vani.

Bal: kahan reh gaye?

Ch: kahin kuch?

Bal: kaisi baaten kr rahi ho? Cheel hai humara beta...Cheel rajkumar! He will be fine!

Ch: lekin Bani to insaan hai na..kahin uske saath (sobs)

Bal: Veer will take care of her..

Chandrakala looks at him.

Bal: itna bhi slow nahi hoon..

They sit there worried when Vani came in. They were struggling to walk and were supporting a woman's body. The woman was struggling to walk herself.

Ch: Vani!?...mtlb Veer? Bani? Ye kya hai?

Veer narrated what had happened.

Veer pulled the breaks fast and Bani's body got pushed forward. Veer put his hands in front of her on reflex. Bani woke up due to the impact and they stared ahead. They got down and inspected the woman. She was breathing but her body showed signs of torture. Bani lifted her head and Vani got shocked when they saw her face.

Mayuri!

Bal: lekin iske saath ye kiya kisne?

Mayuri: (struggled to get up) It was Jai uncle!

Chandrakala instructed a female house help to take Mayuri to a room and called for a doctor. Bani went to a room allotted to her which was right next to Veer's. Bani changed her clothes and got in the bed. Soon fatigue took over and she slept.

The next day, the house was decorated again for wedding games, Meera's first rasoi and later, her mooh-dikhai. Vani went to Mayuri's room and asked her what exactly had happened.

M: pata nahi Veer. I was in the studio when I was attacked. When I woke up, I was trapped. Jai told me he knew what I really was. God knows what he meant by that. He told me that he is doing this to take revenge from you.

B: kahin us din business party me hui baat ka badla toh nahi le raha tha?

V: pr Mayuri se?

M: usne kaha I am your gf..I told him we broke up but he said ki mai usse ullu na banau...he had old pictures from my social media..

V: Sorry Mayuri...meri wajah se..

M: no Veer...shyd maine tumhe itna tang kiya..aur Bani ko bhi...it was Karma..

B: accha vo sb choro, tum neeche to aa rahi ho na?

Mayuri tried to get up but fell down. Veer caught her arm before she fell and Mayuri held onto him.

M: sorry Veer. I don't think I feel well enough to come..you guys go..

Vani nodded and asked her to care. They left.

The functions were done with. It was fun and everyone was in a good mood. Meera made halwa for everyone and Chandrakala gifted her bangles as 'nek'. Afterwards, everyone headed towards their room. In the evening, women folk were coming and the function was woman-only. The men decided they would spend time in the study instead.

Vani were heading towards the game room to play a friendly match of TT to pass the time till then when Bani got a call from Ritu. She signalled Veer to hold on a second and started to talk.

R: kaisi hai Bani? Waha sb thik hai na?

B: Thik hoon Chachi..and sb thik hai...Meera di bhi thik hai.

They chatted for a minute and Bani cut the call. She turned and closed her mouth in horror. Veer was looking really pale and was on the floor, fainted!

The entire Singhania Mansion was in despair. Veer was lying on the bed, getting paler and colder by each passing second. Chandrakala was rubbing his hands while Meera was boiling hot water. Tapish, Ponky and Daksh were nose deep in large books while Pawan and Balwant were on phone calls. Bani stood rooted and wondered why no one was calling for a doctor!

D: mil gaya! Nagfani!

Ba: kya?

D: kissi ne bhai ko nagfani ka zeher diya hai...saare symptoms wahi hai..

Ba: ab?

T: iska cure likha hai..lekin ye booti to prachin nag mandir me hi milegi...hum waha kaise?

B: to hum chalte hai na..kyu nahi jaa skte?

T: Bani I know there are things you don't understand but ek baar koi sawal nahi please..

Bani understood the graveness of the situation and nodded.

B: accha sirf itna batao ki kya mai waha jaa skti hoon..

T: haan...pr?

B: I will get it then...naam kya hai uss booti ka?

T: chitchita..

Bani nodded and rushed out.

P: pr ye kaise layegi?...kahan dhoondegi mandir..

Ba: sb apni taraf se koshish kr rahe hai..isse bhi krne de...mai kissi nag se help maang kr dekhta hoon...

Mayuri saw all this ruckus from her room. She called someone.

M: hello? Jai...Kaam ho gaya..Veer pr zeher ka asar shuru ho gaya hai..

Jai laughed on the other end.

Flashback

Jai reached Mayuri's flat and attacked her. Mayuri took her morni roop and defended herself. As soon as Jai saw the morni, he understood she cannot be Adi naagin since she is morni. Which meant that there are high chances Bani is the Adi naagin. Jai told this to Mayuri and asked her to join him. He gave her the greed of more powers and Mayuri agreed.

They came up with this plan. Jai tortured Mayuri and she purposely came in front of Veer's car. She pretended to be weak and under threat because of her past with Veer so that she gets to stay there until she heals. When Vani called her for the function, she pretended to fall and pricked Veer with a poisonous needle. A few hours later, it showed its affect and Veer fainted. Now, his life was slowly ending.

M: What a plan Jai! Cheel raste se out and Naagin will be all alone to fight!

J: yes!..

M: pr vo shyd jadibooti lene gayi hai..

J: I know nagfani's cure. Maine pehle hi saari jadibuttiyan mix up kr di thi...she will never find the cure.

Jayuri laughed.

Bani reached the spot where her mom took her to practise. She looked around and saw the temple's top. She followed it and reached the temple. The moment she took her first step, she started getting visions. They got more and more prominent but she kept going further. Suddenly, she blacked out and saw Cheels and gidhs attacking the temple, her protecting it and getting the boon. She saw herself becoming the Adi Naagin!

B: mai? Mai Adi Naagin hoon! Mai iss mandir me pehle bhi aa chuki hoon...kya rishta hai mera is mandir se?...nahi ...ye sb baad me...pehle Veeranshu ko meri zarurat hai..

She called for help. A pandit appeared and Bani bowed down.

The pandit understood who she was and greeted her with great joy. Bani told him she urgently needed chitchitta. The pandit saw her distress and understood it wasn't the time to talk. He gave her the jadibutti and told her how to apply it. Bani thanked him and rushed back to Singhania Mansion.

Veer's life is in danger?! Will Jayuri succeed?
Also, I have slightly changed affects of nagfani. It doesn't cause the extra power boost for a few hours. It is just a very deadly poison.

Another thing, I used to update 18+ bonus chapters on my book Vanilicious Christmas but now that the requests have increased, I was thinking of writing an 18+ OS. It will be tagged mature as I don't want to mix up a lot of mature content with other content which is for younger audience too. Another reason is ki main kitne bonus chapters add kru ek hi book me? 5 chapters ki story me 3 toh bonus hi add ho gaye🙈🤣 It will get posted soon. Meanwhile, here is some food for thought.
