Dumbledore had stepped aside as head master and Professor McGonagall was filling in for him. Hagrid was arrested as everyone believes he opened the chamber of secrets fifty years ago. Of course I don't believe it, so Hagrid likes dangerous creatures and owns a few. He'd never let one hurt a student and none of them can petrify people.

When Ginny told Addie she was the one who trashed Harry's dorm room to get the diary back. Addie was impressed she didn't get caught and looked at the diary that was causing so much trouble. She wrote in it herself and was amazed when it answered her. Addie closed the dairy and handed it back to Ginny. She told her to hide it and that they'd talk about it later.

As Ginny left the library Hermione came in. When she told Addie about the spiders fleeing the last scene, where someone was petrified. Addie ran over to the section where she found the book on the Basilisk and showed it to Hermione. She told her how she had found it months ago after what happened with Mrs Norris.

Hermione was angry at first, but calmed down after Addie explained that she didn't know about the spiders being at the scene. Where Mrs Norris was petrified, and that the basilisks eyes kill. They figured out it was because no one looked it in the eye and only saw it's reflection. Before trying figure out how a giant snake was getting around the castle unnoticed.  Hermione wrote something at the bottom of the page. Before ripping it out and leaving the library after finding a mirror. Leaving with a Ravenclaw prefect.

Addie was shocked that her sister would do that to a book. But she shrugged it off as the Weasley twins entered the library. They told her about their latest scheme of pranking Marcus Flint and Addie laughed with them. As the twins thought up a new plan to prank someone in Ravenclaw. Addie finished her homework, then they all went down the Quidditch pitch to fly around for awhile before their quidditch match.

As they headed back to the castle, because Addie had a bad feeling. Also the quidditch match had been canceled for some strange reason. They saw Harry and Ron walking towards them with Professor McGonagall leading them. Please no Addie thought as McGonagall told her to follow them to the hospital wing. She said goodbye to the twins, before following them.

When Addie saw her older twin sister on the hospital bed petrified. She ran over with tears in her eyes, all she could think is it was all her fault. McGonagall told them how she found near the library with the mirror and the Ravenclaw prefect. Once she left Addie found the page in her sisters hand and gave it to Harry. He and Ron left and didn't come back.

Addie asked if she could stay the night as she didn't want to leave her sister. Madame Pomfrey agreed and gave her a spare change of clothes. George and Fred came in later as she was getting ready to sleep. They told her about what had happened to Ginny, Harry, Ron and Lockhart.

This made Addie cry for real this time and George pulled her into a hug saying "everything will be ok, I promise". Fred went to back to the dorm to sleep George wished her goodnight before leaving. Harry, Ron, Ginny and Lockhart were brought into the hospital wing. Addie put two beds together and slept beside Ginny holding her close as they comforted each other with their presence.
