Addie has been practicing as much as possible in her secret room. She even read about a spell that makes an animal shape. Which would be the same as her animagus form. It was called the patronus charm. She had also taken a few mandrake leaves and had held them for nearly a month under her tongue.

Lockheart started a dueling club with Snape as his 'assistant'. Addie told Hermione she couldn't go as she had homework to do. Hermione didn't believe her, but didn't want to question it as she didn't want to be late for the club. Once Hermione was gone Addie headed to her secret room where she began practicing the patronus charm.

She got back to common room after Hermione and the others. Hermione told her sister about Harry being able to talk to snakes as they sat in their room studying. Addie asked how she knew that and Hermione explained what had happened during the club. She also promised to show Addie the disarming charm and shield charm.

Harry didn't show up at dinner and his friends worried. Addie followed her sister and Ron as they went to look for Harry. He had detention for flying Mr Weasley's car into the Whooping Willow with Ron. Except he had it with Lockhart while Ron had it with Filch. Ron had been throwing up slugs while he cleaned trophies. He'd tried to curse Malfoy when he called Hermione a 'mudblood'. Again Addie was in her secret room training and missed all the fun.

They finally found Harry and he was talking crazy talk before he ran off down the hall. She followed Hermione and Ron as they chased Harry. Who were telling Harry to slow down asking him what was wrong.

When they came to a stop, Addie gasped seeing Mrs Norris hanging on a hook by her tail. There was message on the wall written in blood. But before Addie could read it, the rest of the school arrived. She saw Ginny in the crowd as she turned and left the hall.

Addie followed her before any teachers showed up and they ended up in the library. There Ginny told her about the diary she found in her cauldron after that day in 'Diagon Alley'. And how when she writes in it, someone called Tom Riddle replies. Addie told her to get rid of it, because she believed it would bring bad luck.

Ginny agreed as she had blacked out earlier tonight after writing in the book. Addie told her to throw it away in the abandoned girls bathroom. Where Ginny had woken up next to the sink.

When Ginny left Addie thought about what Harry said about hearing a voice in the walls. Then remembered want Hermione had told her about him being able to took to snakes. So she turned towards the dark creatures section of the library.

It took her will but she found a book on a giant snake called a Basilisk. But thought it was the wrong creature, because Mrs Norris wasn't dead and she didn't see any spiders. Also they have roosters on the school grounds. So she put the book back and went back to her dorm room. Where she changed into her pj's, brush her teeth and went to sleep.
