Black Family Advantages?

Black Family Advantages?

I sat on the train with Harry and Luna. I was waiting for Hermione and Ron to come back from their prefect meeting, and Neville was in the bathroom. Ginny was with Dean Thomas.

"How was your summer, Adele?" Luna dreamily asked me.

I thought back to everything that had happened. None of it was very good.

"It was okay, I guess," I told the Ravenclaw.

All was silent, but then Neville came back from the bathroom.

"Erm, Harry? Adele? Professor Slughorn wants to see us."

I had no idea who the hell Professor Slughorn was, but at that moment, I didn't care. I kinda just wanted to get out of the compartment on the train. There was too many awkward silences in here.

"Let's go," I said, getting up.

Nothing bad has even happened yet this school year, but I have the feeling something will go wrong.

As I sat next to Harry, I felt almost as if the world was on my shoulders again. I had only two more years to save some people. Time was running out. I just hope that I won't get any more grey streaks from it.

"Adele," Harry whispered to me. "He's asking you something."

"Oh," I stated, my cheeks red in embarrassment.

"Now, Miss Black, that it your last name, right?" Professor Slughorn wheezed.

"You're correct," I stated, my American accent standing out more than normal.

"Now, your father was Regulus, right?"

I shook my head.

"Sirius, actually."

He nodded, "Yes, yes. And you are in what house?"

"Gryffindor, sir," I simply stated, not in favor of the way this conversation was going.

He nodded slowly, as if he was a bit surprised.

"He just died recently, right?"

"Yes," I stated, beginning to tear up.

"Shame. He was a good student, didn't exactly excel in my class, but I don't think anybody saw it coming... Him going to Azkaban."

"My father," I began to angrily state, "was a good man. He was innocent. And if you couldn't see that, then you are just a stupid human on this earth."

"Your father wasn't innocent. I bet you're just like him- a murderer," Cormac McLaggen told me.

"I am not a murderer! And neither was my father!" I cried out, my fists clenching.

I suddenly saw a bunch of owls soar towards Cormac at an undesirable speed. Their beaks were snapping and nipping at him, creating small cuts on his body. The birds' talons gave him long and bloody scratches.

"How'd you do that?" Harry asked me, frightened.

I turned to him, flustered. "I don't know."

Everybody in the compartment looked scared of me, and I didn't enjoy the feeling. Even Harry looked at me like I was some sort of dangerous test subject.

"Excuse me," I whispered.

I got out of my chair and made my way towards the door. Sliding it open, I found myself going to an empty compartment.

I opened up that door and soon found myself curled up in a ball, tears silently pouring out of my eyes. I couldn't let them hear me crying.

I knew that somebody would bring up my father at some pony, but I didn't think it'd be this soon.

I didn't want it to be like my first year at Hogwarts- my third year- but that seemed to be where I was headed.

I was a disease again.

Long time no update?

Sorry, but I had marching band (which takes up a lot of time, actually) and school started up on the 17th of August, 2015.

So I thought, why not have an update on September first, the day Hogwarts starts?
