Adele Black: The End

I was shocked beyond all belief. Molly Weasley had just killed somebody. To be honest, I always thought that if she was to kill somebody, it would be either Fred or George.
I had to thank her- I would later, I guess- for killing my cousin.
I probably should feel bad that somebody is dead- my blood relative, non-the less, but I don't exactly care.
I'm not the typical person.
I still remember heading towards the Great Hall, I remember only being in there for a good five minutes before we were all brought outside.
In front of me stood Hagrid; he was carrying something in his arms. He was being pulled along by the surviving Death Eaters, and at the front of them all, was Lord Voldemort.
Everybody was standing in a big lump, waiting for the dark side to make their way closer to us. I didn't understand why none of us were fighting- you know, shooting spells at one another. Voldemort was right in front of us. Why the heck couldn't we kill him now? I guess there was an unspoken answer among the crowd, and we all knew that it wasn't our destiny to kill the snake man. It was Harry's.
"HARRY POTTER... IS DEAD!" Voldemort's voice cackled out, his laugh chilling the air with an unusual frost. Shivers ran down my spine; this was the man who caused all of this.
"NO!" Ginny yelled out, her voice unsteady. She tried to run forward to Harry- who I noticed was the limp figure in Hagrid's arms.
It was one of the most heartbreaking sights that I have ever laid my eyes upon; Ginny was being held back by her father and Bill. Tears raced down her face.
Ron, who was holding Hermione's hand, stood next to me. Disbelief was on his face. Tears actually leaked off his cheeks.
Hermione's face was layered with salty tears coming out of her eyes. Her brother- well, not exactly her blood brother, but you know what I mean- was supposedly dead.
I was thankful I couldn't see my face. I knew it was a mess.
I could feel tears racing down my cheeks and going into my mouth, the salty taste stinging my tongue.
"Why do you have to ruin everything?" I exclaimed, my voice deadly calm.
"Ruin everything? I just make it all better!" Voldemort's voice sent shivers down my spine (my body's aching all the time).
I was brave enough to look the sorry excuse for a man in the eye. His red eyes looked directly into my gray eyes.
"You're lying. All you've done is inflict pain on this community."
"Community? Don't you mean... World?" He laughed, as his followers laughed along with him.
"No. I mean community. You might have destroyed this Wizard community. You might have inflicted unknown fear among the Muggle-"
At the word Muggle, the snake man gave a hiss of disgust.
"-World," I continued. "But there is still somewhere you haven't."
"Haven't you heard, Miss Black? Your camp has been overrun by monsters. Nobody will make it out alive!"
"That is where you are wrong," I fought back. My voice was getting stronger and I was somehow feeling more and more confident. "They will make it out alive. And you are bluffing."
"How, Miss Black, am I bluffing?" Voldemort asked me. There was a small spark of fear in his blood red eyes, and deep down I felt a sense of accomplishment flow through my veins like a rushing river.
"You cannot see Camp Half-blood, Voldemort. It is invisible to the eye of a... regular... mortal... You do not have the blood of the gods in your veins. You cannot see the monsters, and you cannot see the camp. You may know that the gods exist, and the monsters from the so-called myths are real, and that they are out there... But to you, they are invisible. You cannot see them. I have caught your bluff, and it is a shame that nobody else has," I spoke up.
I stepped out from the crowd of survivors, my body stance fierce and ready for whatever sort of blow was going to come my way.
"Nobody has knowledge like you do, Adele Black... You know, we could use your knowledge, we can take this world by storm... And get rid of all the mudbloods and half-bloods and leave the only ones left to be pure-bloods... No blood traitors... Only the pure ones... What do you say, Miss Black? Will you come and join this side? I can give you all the tools to survive... You will be safe... You can be my second in command..."
I knew this would happen. I knew what I would do. I knew what side I would be on. And I also knew that in the process of these next actions, I would hurt those closest to me.
I would hurt the ones I loved with all my heart. But I hoped that at least somebody would understand what I was going to do, even if it meant turning my back on my family. I knew that there was one person who would understand what I was going to do.
I remembered the sword that I had been given. Harry, forever the one with good ideas at some moments, had given me the sword of Godric Gryffindor. It was charmed by him, and it was in my pocket. It felt almost as if I was holding the world on my shoulders once more.
Without any sort of debate over my final actions, I looked Voldemort right in the eye.
"You make a pretty convincing argument. I suppose that since you have all of that to offer... I must join you."
"NO! ADELE YOU CANNOT DO THIS!" George's voice rang out through the halls.
"He has the best argument out there, George. He is offering me safety... Something I must not refuse," I gave him a look that said 'remember-Athena-always-has-a-plan'.
I began to strut forward without any trouble. I was now half-way between the good side and the bad side. I did not slow down what so ever.
I continued to make my way over to Voldemort. When I finally reached him, I gave him my best look of gratitude.
"You have given me something that nobody else has, Voldemort," I smirked. His pet snake, Nagini, slithered towards me, looking like it was ready to cuddle up against my leg. It seemed to be taking a quick likening to me.
"Of course," Voldemort's voice rang out, a sense of uncharacteristic glee within it.
I stepped behind the snake man and slowly, yet steadily pulled out the sword of Godric Gryffindor.
"Enlargio," I muttered so silently under my breath, nobody able to hear me.
The ancient sword grew to its regular size, the stain of Basilisk blood visible upon the blade.
I raised the sword with a quick swiftness, and swung as hard as I could towards Nagini's head.
The head of Voldemort's pet snake was removed from her body and soared through the air, like a baseball being hit with a large force by a baseball bat.
At that moment, Harry sprung out of Hagrid's arms, his wand out and ready to battle anybody who got in his way.
Voldemort was mortal once more. It was the perfect plan.
"GO! GO!" I yelled towards the side where the Weasley's and Hermione, Neville, Lupin, Tonks, Luna and all of the other survivors were.
The swarm of the remaining Death Eaters rushed towards them. I ran with the Death Eaters.
The years that I had spent on the run from monsters on quests with Percy, Annabeth and...Grover (Gods, rest his soul) payed off at this very moment. I was ahead of everybody else, and I was able to reach the good side first.
"PORTEGO MAXIMA!" I screamed out, pointing my wand at the side of the good people were.
A light blue- nearly silver- ray of light burst out of my wand. A large shield burst from the ray as it neared my friends and family at what seemed to be 100 miles per hour. The shield wrapped around them like a very large bubble, trapping them in it. They were protected- the shield would last about ten minutes... I just hoped that it was enough time...
Rays of colors blasted towards the shield from the Death Eater's wands, trying to break it. They were unsuccessful and seemed to be getting frustrated.
I do not know what had come over me, but suddenly I had about five Death Eaters in front of me.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!" I yelled out, moving my wand in a clockwise motion as green light came out of it.
I had just killed five Death Eaters... With one single killing curse.
I nearly collapsed in exhaustion. Before I knew it, the shield that I had put up had disintegrated. My family and friends raced towards the remaining Death Eaters.
Out of the corner of my gray eyes I saw Lucius Malfoy and my cousin, Narcissa, apparated from the scene of the battle. They left behind my other cousin, Draco. They left behind their own son...
But Draco was fighting against the Death Eaters. In fact, Draco and I were back to back.
"Was that some sort of plan you made up?" his voice screamed as he fired spells at the small amount of Death Eaters left.
"It was. Harry helped me."
Suddenly, everybody surrounded two figures. I recognized Harry, his wand shooting out a red light, and Voldemort, who was across from him. Voldemort was using the Elder Wand, and the green light of the killing curse raced out of his.
The green ray of light began to over power the red one, but soon enough, the red light from Harry's wand over powered the green one. The green ray of magic flung itself off of the red light. It rebounded, and without any time for Lord Voldemort to react, it hit him, square in the chest.
With a very anti-climactic fall, Voldemort fell to the stone ground. A small thump sounded out, and Voldemort was no more. He was dead.
Oh my Gods.
Voldemort was dead.
I ran up to Harry and wrapped my god brother into a massive hug.
"IT WORKED! I can't believe our plan actually worked, Harry," I yelled out loud, excitement coursing through my body.
Together, we walked over to the Weasley's, Hermione, Lupin, Tonks, Neville and Luna.
There was a very visible look of anger in Remus Lupin's eyes as he looked at me. He believed I was a traitor.
"I think, Adele, and you too, Harry, have a lot of explaining to do."
I hoped you guys liked that, because it took me a while to plan out and write.
I turn 16 tomorrow! I am so excited!
Anyway, I am going to update really soon. I hope to update by Saturday or Sunday.
