Chapter 3
Aiden's Point of View
After a long time spent sharpening my shurikens and wondering about the same questions over and over, the feeling in my gut has become so large, it's practically nagging me in my conscience. It was quite annoying so I think I'll listen to it, just to make it go away.
I head back to camp, which wasn't too far from where I was. When I reach it, Mitch and the baka are finished cleaning and just talking to each other. I hide behind the leaves of the tree I'm in, deciding to eavesdrop on them.
It's not wrong, it's just a way for me to gather their points of view of me, as well as listen to some information that they'll possibly going to hide from me. I can't hear too well but I think I can gather their conversation.
After I get in a comfortable spot, I start listening on them.
"...annoying. I don't trust her one bit." I hear Jerome say and I frown. I didn't know I was that intolerable, was I?
I shook my head and continued to listen in, knowing that I could miss some pretty important information.
"C'mon, give the poor girl a chance. She seems nice and I think we should bring her to the mainland, where she can at least join an army." Mitch answered, a tint of plead but it wasn't too desperate. Did he not like me either?
"Just tell her to find her own way there. It isn't our fault she didn't spawn in the correct place..." Jerome muttered under his breath, thinking that Mitch won't hear. I looked back at Mitch and he looked very troubled, which just confused me. Which side was he on?
Then again, he just met me. He'll probably side with Jerome in the end because Jerome is his partner, not to mention best friend.
Me, on the other hand, is a random person that turned up by suprise. He doesn't know me, so how could he possibly side with me?
What am I thinking?
I stand up abruptly and turn around, running across the trees and away from the camp where I was unwanted.

Third Person's Point of View
"The least we can do for her is bring her to the mainland, alright?" Mitch said to his fluffy bacca of a friend who huffed gruffly before agreeing. He noticed Mitch was being quite persistent with this and so Jerome, being the soft one for his buddy, gave his cause up.
They sat there in silence, thinking about the interesting girl that had suddenly turned up in their lives for seemingly no reason. She was very peculiar and somehow resembled someone that everyone knew, but neither would even think to admit it.
It just didn't seem possible...
But they both gave off a similar vibe, which was the weirdest resemblance of all.
Finally, the fluffy one decided to go fetch the little peculiar child. Leaving behind a tired checkered boy to sleep alone, at least, until they got back.

Jerome's Point of View
I sighed deeply as I trudged through the forest, searching for the pesky girl. She was really a tough thing to keep under control, which is why I don't like to deal with women, even ones that are my own kind.
The bad memories were starting to haunt the edge of my conscience and so I shook my head furiously, not wanting to re-live the same memories all over again. Especially since I'm on a mission right now.
I continue walking in the forest, actually quite a ways away from the camp now. I look around for the girl but she's no where to be found.
This is not good.
Where did she go, I thought, annoyed with the girl. I knew she'd be trouble, and now here I am, looking for her.
Honestly, what do I do with my life?
I sighed again and begrudgingly continued to look for her, without success. To be honest, it felt like I was trying to look through a large chest, searching for one diamond.
No, shut up Jerome, shut up.
Did I seriously just call her a diamond?
NO, I didn't.
Yes you did, my conscience whispered.
Aw, shut up, I growled.
Oh, so no denial, eh? My conscience teased and I glared at myself, although I don't know if that's possible.
I guess that's practically skipping a step, isn't it? It asked again, and I blocked out my conscience. The voice proved to be quite troublesome for the young, and easily angered, bacca.
I was going to continue searching for the pesky thing when my hearing perked up. I could hear Mitch calling for help in the distance, and he was definitely in trouble.
"Mitch, I'm coming!" I shouted, although he probably couldn't hear me considering the distance between us. I knew I shouldn't have left him, but of course, I just had to be selfish, I thought angrily to myself.
I shook out the bad influence of thoughts and continued pursuing my destination. I ran faster than a wolf and I bared my teeth like a savage bear ready to kill.
No one is allowed to hurt my friends.
When I got there, Mitch was being held by a large enderman, who was followed by several others. I bared my teeth warningly. I jumped before any of them could realize the warning, but it was their mistake.
The should know not to mess with me, especially me.
I bit one of the endermans' legs and it hissed in pain. Dark blood started pulsing out, latching onto my fur like a magnet, but I didn't care. Seeing their blood spilt was something worth seeing considering they provoked my friend, my family.
I let go of that enderman's leg, and pounced on its body. The thing fell to the ground, landing harshly with a soft thump. After all, endermans don't weigh that much but I do. I ravaged it mercilessly and then moved onto the next one.
I had to move at a brisk speed because they had Mitch in their clutches.
"I will save you..." I growl, hoping he heard me. I didn't have time to look at him though because more of the tall enemies were coming at me. Of course, I know they wouldn't win because a bacca never loses.
I did a fast sweep kick, making many of the tall things fall to the ground. Some stayed up, which were the ones that I attacked first. There were a few gathered in a clump and so I dashed through them like they were bowling pins. They fell down with the others, and so I killed them all with one slip of my claw. Soon, they were nothing other than the black, flurry-like dust that lingered in the End.
I moved onto the next group, who were recovering quite quickly from my sweep kick. I ran at the speed of light, my angry aura seemingly visibly surrounding me. My dark killing aura scared much of them, but they had the guts to still come at me. I thought they valued their lives but I guess not.
That's what he does.
Knowing who was behind this attack only fueled my anger. But there was one question lingering in the edge of my conscience.
Why was he after us?
I had no time to think about the question, for I still had to save my friend. I decided to try to wipe them all out with a special move I've been learning so I can get this done and make sure Mitch is safe.
Time seemed to slow down as I closed my eyes and whispered the words that woud bring their death.
"Strength of the Past."
I whispered and my shadow that was cast by the moonlight, for the fire was gone, started to spread across the ground. It spread far and under the stupid, and still unsuspecting, enemies. As I felt their presense come closer and closer, for my shadow can reach only so far, I waited for the right time.
When all were inside, it was time to release the first gate.
"Release!"
My eyes snapped open and they blared a bright yellow, which stood out in the midst of this night. Every enemy in my shadow froze in place, unable to move. They were paralyzed, only able to hear my dark thoughts that would bring insanity to anyone who heard them.
Soon, you could hear the endermen cry in fear and defeat as they crumpled to the ground, holding their heads in pain. I could no longer remember why I was doing this to them, but I knew that they deserved it. I hated them and pain is what they deserve.
I had forgotten my objective because the darkness, the hate, the past was coming back to life.
The enderman, after fallen to insanity, were slowly slipping into my shadow, becoming one with it. It was what made my shadow stronger, me stronger. Soon, all the enderman were gone, except for one.
The last one was holding a young checkered boy who seemed familiar to me. Ignoring it, I pressed on towards my last target.
I stalked closer and closer, and soon the enderman was in my clutches. Its dark eyes widened as it noticed it was in my trap. I smiled viciously as I started my torture.
But now that I was closed to the peculiar checkered boy, he smelled familiar.
Very familiar.
The enderman knees were starting to give out, but I knew he was fighting hard. I was too focused on the boy to really care thought. He seemed important, like I know him somehow.
A name was flashing in and out of my mind, for it was cluttered with darkness. I could not think clearly but I urged myself to continue to figure it out. The boy just seemed to familiar for me to dispose of.
I continued to listen and the name became louder but still very blurry. I continued to listen as it repeated itself in a steady beat. The enderman, which I was barely paying attention to, was falling to his knees, ready to let the boy go. The boy was struggling to figure out of the enderman's grip but they were to far into my shadow to be able to make it back to true land.
The name kept on getting louder as the boy straggled to stay away from my shadow more and more.
"M...M...Mi.....tch...it...Mi...ch..." It was very blurry but I tried to make the best of it.
"M-M-Mi-Mit-Mitch????" I said thoughtfully, trying to recall the name.
"Mitch?" I said again, repeating it to myself.
"Mitch..." I said again, my darkness slowly fading as I came back to my reality self.
"..." I felt tired but continued to think as my shadow was sinking back into its original place.
When my shadow was back, I finally realized who it was. "Mitch!" I shouted, forcing my tired self to finish my mission of rescuing my family.
I pounced on the enderman but I took to long to recover. It smirked evilly, fully recovered from my attack. It managed to mutter something before it teleported away, and I know I will not forget a single one of them.
"Good bye."
I stood paralyzed in the place where the two once stood, realizing what I've just lost.
I managed to say my last few thoughts before I passed out.
"I'm sorry I failed you, my last fa...family..."
And with that, I fell to the ground in pain, distraught, and regret.

Aiden's Point of View
I'm sprinting across the tops of the trees, hoping to reach the mainland that the two were speaking of. But I would become a mix of emotions every time I thought back to them, and so I would fall off task and forget about my surroundings. Earlier, I almost fell in a hole in the cluster of leaves and branches and fell onto the real ground.
That would end really bad.
But of course, the world just hates me whenever I wander into my thoughts and so I end up falling face first into the soft, cold stuff in the unnoticed snow biome that was ahead of me. Of course, I could handle it but I wasn't prepared for the temperature to be so cold, or the hard dirt and stone under it, and so I fell into the deep dark abyss that I wished would just take me home.
On the bright side, I can get some peaceful rest, can't I?
