Chapter 2
Aiden's Point of View
Soon, we were back at the camp where my wound was being treated while I was eating my heart out. The golden apple from before had its effects worn out due to my bleeding wound, but I didn't think much of it, now that I'm with Mitch and Jerome. At the moment, I was sure that I can trust them.
After all, they're the awesome youtubers of Minecraft.
I was currently sitting at the fire, chomping on another golden apple, back at camp, while the other two were tending my bleeding injury. Mitch kept on apologizing but I told him to stop, 'cause he had nothing to be sorry for. It was me who had to say sorry for my stupidity.
After apologies were exchanged, we started discussing my arrival. It was quite a mystery to them as well as to me, so it wouldn't hurt to explain. We all sat around the fire, enjoying the apples, while Jerome was eating raw fish, as the talk began.
"So, it's Aiden, right?" Jerome asked, although there was a slight tint of suspicion behind his voice, but it was gone as fast as it came. I shrugged it off, thinking I'm just hearing things. It's probably just a result from the quick blood loss.
"Yeah." I answered.
"Do you remember how, or where, you spawned?" Mitch questioned.
"I told you before, remember? I don't know why I'm here, nor do I know how I got here." I said lazily. He was obviously not listening before. Then again, he was probably more focused on the monster at the time. "I'm just here, for whatever reason, I don't know."
The two of them sat quietly, both seemingly deep in thought. "You wouldn't have any idea what I'm doing here either, do you?"
The two just shook their heads in response and I sighed. I lay back on the ground so I could circulate my thoughts better. It helped me a little as many questions zipped around my head.
Why was I here?
How did I get here?
Why are my favorite youtubers here too?
Are we actually in Minecraft and not in a dream?
Do I have a purpose in this world?
The same few questions were running through my mind. If I'm here, then I most likely have a purpose, right? It would only make sense for it to be so but even then, how did I get here in the first place? I was just sleeping when-
That's it!
It'd had to have been that thing that I say every night!
"Sweet dreams Team Crafted, especially to you Adam, and may I dream of Minecraft!"
I suck in a quick breath as I realize it.
"Hey guys, I think I figured out how-" I exclaimed but when I sat back up, the two weren't anywhere to be seen. This freaked me out because if they went somewhere I would've heard them. Those two weren't exactly the quiet type.
I look around for any sign that they left to do something but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Their weapons were still in the same places and the supplies were no different. Nothing had changed at all which just sent more shivers down my spine.
Being alone was something I was used to because I ventured out at night many times in the real world, and on my laptop when I played Minecraft. Although, I never planned on actually venturing out at night in Minecraft. It's not really something that you can expect to happen. At least, in the real world, there's more people who can find you.
When I looked back at where the two boys were sitting, something dark was sitting in their places that wasn't there before. I yelped lightly, suprised the sudden appearance. The two...things didn't look up though, and so I took the initiative to pull out my shurikens.
I threw the sharp metal at the thing, hoping to rid of it. My weapons, sadly, flew through them, not leaving a mark at all. Other than the fact that the area my shuriken went through had slightly dissapated but it came back as quickly it dissapated.
What are these things?
In the least, they were not human, or really, player.
Well, whatever they were, they weren't good.
I narrowed my eyes at the things as they stood. My mind was shouting at me to go, to run, but my legs were jello and became planted into the ground. My conscience's voice became louder with each of the thing's steps. I knew I should do something in the least, if I wasn't going to run. I tried to go for my shurikens again but I was frozen in place.
They creeped closer and closer, each step soundless. The crackle of the fire continued as the things came closer, their shadows becoming larger, overcoming me.
When they finally reached me, one of the shadows touched my arm and the next thing I knew, everything dissapeared and I was left in a deep, dark, endless pit of darkness.
What was this place?
I looked around, although my eyes felt like they were closed. "Hello?" I called out, hoping for some kind of response, from anyone to be honest. It scared the crap out of me when my voice echoed without any response at all.
I walked around, a weird crawling feeling on my back. I felt as if someone was watching me from behind but when I turned around, nothing was there but the deep, dark abyss. I sighed in frustration as I continued wandering.
After many hopeless calls and failed responses, I felt like someone was shaking me. I tried pushing away from the invisible force that was shaking me, but it just shook harder. I shouted at the direction the force was coming from but it didn't listen. If anything, it tried even harder to shake me.
Finally, the darkness dissapeared.
I found myself lying on the ground, in a totally different location. Jerome and Mitch were hovering over me, Jerome's hands on my shoulders. I was far away from where I was once lying and some things, such as the seats around the fire, were displaced and some resources were lying out in the open. The chest stuck open too.
"Well, she's back." Jerome said bluntly, taking his hands off my shoulders. Mitch chuckled as I forced myself to sit up dazedly.
"What-"
"Happened?" Jerome finished. "Well, you were talking in your sleep about something in a different language. After that, you stood up and started roaming."
"Soon after, you started tearing up the place. We had to pin you down and wake you up to make you stop." He gazed back at the mess I had made and sighed in what seemed to be irritation. "Now we've got to clean this up, thanks to your mess-up?"
Under his breath, he muttered, "Why must new spawn-in's be such an annoyance?"
I narrowed my eyes at him as he went to fix the stuff. Although, there was a fighting spirit in me that was telling myself to not put up with that. Of course, I hated stupid attitudes like that and I was gonna say so.
"Hey!" I called out, making the bacca stop in his tracks. He didn't bother to turn around which fueled my burning fire. "It isn't my fault, I didn't know that I did that!" I shouted. "You shouldn't insult people so much, you stupid baka!" (baka in japanese means idiot, but i don't think bacca means the same thing...)
"I am a bacca, you got something to say about that," He growled, "Spawn-in?"
That ticked me off.
"Oh, so just because I just joined means I'm some stupid noob that doesn't understand anything?"
"Yes." He answered bluntly. "Plus the fact that your a girl makes you even more stupid."
"Oh that's it!" I growled before I lunged at him, holding several shurikens in my hand to throw in the air.
But before I could jump, the canadian forced himself inbetween us. I glared at the checkered boy who was softly looking at us both.
"Aiden, why don't you go and take watch for the night?"
I narrowed my glare at him, then switched to the baka, before I snarled begrudgingly and reluctantly left the camp, a very bad feeling in my stomach. I had a feeling in my gut that something bad is going to happen, without me, and it wasn't that fight.
Speaking of the fight, I need to sharpen my shurikens so I can actually damage that stupid baka of a bacca. Honestly, he had not right to call me that!
I furiously pull out several shurikens and start sharpening them all with a nearby rock. They cause more damage that way. I know because they were part of a mod that I created for Minecraft.
Which makes me all the more curious. What type of minecraft are we playing in, a normal or modded version?
???'s Point of View
"Tech...techno..." I croak out with my thick, heavy, and raspy voice. Soon, a figure appears before me inside my cave, where I take refuge.
"What is it?" He answers calmly and I twitch. The calm feeling that radiates off this man is sickening. I move slowly across my cave, farther from the wretched man. "I know...you are hiding some...one..." I said, feeling the same calm feeling radiating off somewhere else in the world that seemed similar to the man in front of me. I knew something was up.
"What do you mean?" He answers innocently.
"YOU KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!" I rage as a blast of my dark mist blows over him. I hear his suffering coughs and I smile sadisticly to myself, even though I technically do not bear a mouth.
Although it was nice to hear his suffering, my mist quickly dissapates leaving behind the man on his knees. It takes so much energy to do that and so I am unable to speak for a few seconds. After my quick recovery, I continue.
"You know very well....the....power of my...code...." I manage to mutter as he quietly listens, finishing his tricks.
"I know what I'm doing," he answers back and I narrow my look at him, although he can't physically see me yet. "I'm trying my best to fix your code to the best of my ability. You should be able to see that."
"You said...that I should be...feeling the improve...ment none the less..." Herobrine answered, knowing that the man was up to something.
"I haven't figured out what has caused the corruption of your code. I'm still trying to find it." He answered, yet with the same tone as he used before.
"You told me...that the last....ti...times I summoned...you...Do not...lie..." I said viciously, although you could sense through my facade.
"You have to be patient." He answered harshly, obviously tired of dealing with the same questions every time. I glared at him and he glared back, leading to silence in the cave.
"Very well....Take your leave...." I answered, turning away and back to my area where I spent my time planning. The man left without another word.
When I could hear his footsteps no more, I called to my endermen. They responded quickly and several leaders of enderman transported inside my cave.
"Ecuton, leader of my ender army. Step forward." I huffed and immediately, the ender leader, a close aquaintance of mine, appeared.
"I sense....a presence...A presence similar to that man..." I said.
"Yes, I have realized it too." Ecuton answered in his gruff, ender-like voice.
"Send a team out there, because he is hiding....that presence, I am...sure of it..."
And with that, Ecuton was gone along with the other leaders. I'm going to get to the bottom of this mystery that he keeps from me. I know I will.
