Chapter 1
Aiden's Point of View
As I'm heading towards the north where Mitch was most likely taking refuge at during this moment, I find a deep, yet clear, ocean. My compass, as well as the arrow above me, shows that he's...I guess, gathering materials? He kept on going back and forth which slightly confused me. Whatever, I just know that I should reach him soon.
The bacca was most likely with Mitch but I wanted to just check. If I'm going to confront them, then I might as well know what I'm up against. I switch my compass to JeromeASF and the arrow barely moves. That meant the bacca was probably traveling with him. Great, at least I'll get to meet them both, I thought happily.
"I should make a boat and a crafting table for the ride."
I start punching a nearby birch tree. A small sign shows up above my name tag, saying that I gained an achievement from collecting a block of wood. I don't pay much attention to it. Actually, I'm more focused on the fact that this dream feels so real. Every single graphic here makes me feel like I'm in reality.
After I've gathered quite a bit of wood, I feel that my hands a little sore. I look at my hand and it looks a light shade of red, like the color it would change to if someone pinched you multiple times.
"Interesting...." I mutter under my breath even though I was pretty much the only living player there at the moment.
Switching back to the bigger task at hand, I take out the birch blocks that still needed to be converted into normal blocks. I realize I don't know what to do with it.
"Huh, how am I supposed to make planks in the first place?" I inspected the block, trying to figure out how I'm supposed to create the suddenly mystical things.
I put my hands on opposites sides of the miniature blocks on my hands and push together. To my suprise, they shrunk to the tiniest size the could and then the block grew back to its original miniature size in my hand. Although, now it was planks.
I stood there, processing what I'd just done.
"..."
"YOSH! I DID IT, I DID IT!" I pranced around, holding the new block in my hands. "That is so cool!" I exclaimed as I looked at the block again. I used the same method I did just now and the planks shrunk again. After I pulled my hands away, two blocks appeared. In my right hand was the remainder of wood and in my left hand, there was a crafting table.
"Aw yeah, who da bawss NO-OW! O-O-OH!" I screamed as I waved my hands in the air. Another small achievement screen bar blinked above me, saying that I gained the achievement of creating a crafting table.
"I'm a problem solver!!!" I screamed at the ocean but it didn't echo back. Of course it wouldn't echo back, it's an ocean.
What am I thinking?
I quickly regain my composure, knowing that I'd just embarrased myself even though no one was watching. Well, so I thought.
I place down the crafting table and I see the same outlines of the normal table (3x3) grid. I knew the crafting recipe for a boat and so I placed down several small blocks of wooden planks in the designated places and pushed them down on the table. The slipped down like buttons and a small boat appeared on top of my hands.
The materials that were once on the grid were now gone and the small boat found its way to my hand. I looked at the boat and instead of being 2-D, it was 3-D, but once again, mini-sized.
I broke the crafting table and took it in my other hand. I looked at my clock in my inventory and I had about 3/4 of the day left. It seemed like a lot of time but I knew that that wasn't very long.
I placed down the boat and lifted off and into the sea.
~*~
After a few minutes, I notice a bit of an overflow of lilypads. "Huh, I'm lucky that I haven't stumbled into any-"
I was cut off as I plunged into the deep, cold water. I quickly grab the broken materials of my boat and get on a nearby lilypad.
After coughing out quite a bit of gross salty sea swamp water, I look back at my inventory. I'd gathered all the materials of the boat, I still had my compass and my clock as well as the book. Suprisingly, nothing else was wet other than the materials from the boat. I was quite thankful for that. Who knows what would've happened if water had touched that clock? Things that happen here are a little bit different from the real minecraft.
Once I finished recovering from my coughing fiasco, I resume travel. My compass told me that the two had finally stopped going back and forth, which meant that they're probably setting up camp.
Looks like I'll probably reach them after all.
I parkour across the swamp waters using lilypads and random blocks of dirt. It wasn't that hard once I got used to it. I kept on parkouring 'till there was an even more overgrowth of lilypads as well as more chunks of land.
I look back at my compass once I make it back to land and see that both still hadn't moved. Although, I was facing a different direction which was weird. I was pretty sure that I was just heading their way...
Whatever, what mattered most was reaching them as soon as possible.
I start running towards them only to be stopped by hunger. A sudden cramp over came me and my stomach started grumbling. I looked up to see that I only had three hunger bars left. Man, this world was just happy to give me hardships, didn't it?
I sighed in annoyance and slight defeat as I began walking instead. This was definitely going to slow me down, there wasn't a doubt about that.
I look back at my clock, only to realize that it's sunset. I look up at the sky and it was indeed the shade of sunset. I looked around me and mobs were already starting to form, which I took as a very, very bad sign.
I started walking as fast as my grumbling, aching stomach would take me. The only time I don't have food with me and this happens, I grumbled to myself. I noticed a few pigs on random lilypads but I didn't even bother to get them. This is my thank you for sparing you life, you stupid pigs! I screamed in my mind.
Zing, an arrow whizzes past my head.
"Ah crap!" I tried to shout, although my mouth and body decided otherwise. I stayed quiet but still continued to walk as fast as I could.
I grabbed my shurikens in my pocket, just enough for me to defend myself, as I push myself to move faster.
SsssSsss, I hear the sizzling sound start behind me, seconds before I'm blown forward which make me lose about four hearts. Why you do dis, hunger?
This is not good at all, I thought worriedly as I started taking damage from my hunger bar being fully empty.
Pretty soon, I'm speed running for my life, a tail of mob enemies behind me. I took a small peek behind me so that I could aim for the creepers who could blow up and do some extra dirty work for me.
I end up tripping over my feet, I don't know how that happened, then fell to the horrid ground. I know I never miss so I let my shurikens fly and sure enough, they met their target.
I crawled away just enough so that I wouldn't take enough damage to kill me. Sure enough, I was far away so that the monsters just blew over my head and I took no damage.
But I still had mobs behind me so I wasn't off the hook yet.
I forced myself to stand up and grab my shurikens, trying my best to not be overcome with the large and weary feeling inside me.

Third Person's Point of View
A loud chorus of explosions slightly echoed in the distance and Jerome and Mitch look up from what they were doing.
Of course, they couldn't see anything due to the fact that they were in a forest and so one of them decided to just think that they didn't hear anything. That being the bacca.
"Hey Jerome, you hear anything?" Mitch muttered pausing in the middle of his crafting. Jerome shrugged the topic off. "It was probably just a creeper responding to some other mob. Let's just finish gathering the amount of wood, alright?"
Mitch didn't respond because the explosiong had really peaked his interest. Plus, creating sticks and collecting wood wasn't something that he was a fan of.
So of course, to feed his natural curiosity, he said to his fluffy comrade, "I'll be right back. I'm gonna get some wood." And with that, the boy left the camp, leaving behind his best bacca. Of course, Jerome was a bit clueless and so he just replied, "Okay."
The bacca was more focused on finishing the job and going back to the castle at the moment to really process what his friend had said.
Mitch's Point of View
I was walking towards the point where I'd heard an explosion. Scratch that, several explosions.
It was quite uncommon around this area for mobs to just suddenly respond to another mob unless there was a player involved somehow. That's why going to check the explosion out 'cause out here, you never know what to expect.
I realized I was close because I noticed that on the ground were the miniature blocks of land that were blown up. Obviously, several creepers were involved but I could tell that there were more mobs involved than just creepers.
I saw remnants of bones, rotten flesh, few ender pearls, gunpowder, spare experience, string, and quite a bit of spider eyes. I shivered as I walked through the many drops that lay on the ground. In the near distance, I could hear even more mobs that seemed to be aggravated.
What could this be? I thought.
Letting my curiosity get the better of me, I stalked over, keeping to the shadows in case there're a lot of mobs. I peeked around one of the trees I was hiding behind and noticed the mobs crowding in on something.
Next thing I knew, I was running in, bow at the ready.
Time seemed to slow down as my quick reflexes kicked in. I looked from side to side at the crowd of mobs, noticing the scatter of creepers. I smirked as I pulled out several arrows and got ready to do a rapid shot.
I pulled on the bowstring and held back two arrows at a time. I shot at each creeper with my arrows, which never miss, and they detonated one after the other. Pretty soon, I've lowered the amount of mobs quite a bit and I decide to take them through hand-to-hand combat.
My bow now hung loosely around my torso as I pulled out my sword to attack. Some mobs had started coming at me, although at a slower pace. Knowing it was an effect of my quick reflexes, I continued to bring the death blows.
The first mob I killed happened to be a skeleton. Sadly for it, they had horrible aim. I dodged them easily as I snaked closer to the thing. Once I had gotten close enough, I jumped into the air, quite high, did a short forward flip and landed my sword straight through the skeleton's head. The skeleton that was once standing had fallen to the ground, it's head pinned to the ground by my sword.
The sound of a spider and zombie rang behind me and I yanked my sword out of the skeleton. I swiped across the area behind me and I felt my sword be-head the zombie. I smirked once again, admiring my quick skills. I guess I was pretty good with a sword too.
The spider jumped at me and I pulled my sword around so that I stabbed the spider right through its abdomen. The annoying spider's sound immediately died as I threw the thing onto the ground. Its body slipped off my shining metal easily, its eyes glinting in the moonlight.
Before I could look around for any more mobs to get rid of, an enderman appeared before me. I was quite suprised by this because I hadn't layed any eyes into any enderman. I looked at the thing, quickly searching for ways to kill it, obviously trying my best to keep out eye contact.
I realized that the enderman was way too tall for me to attack it well so I had to go for distance. Sadly, I knew I couldn't retreat farther away from it because it would just follow me. So I had to just shoot from where I was at and hope that I can shoot well from this distance.
I pulled out three arrows and aimed all of them at the enderman's body. I let them fly but only two of them landed before it teleported away, letting my last arrow fly through the now empty air. At least I'd gotten a few hits on it, I thought to myself, trying to keep myself positive.
But I knew that something just wasn't right about that certain one...
Before I could think about it more, I noticed a young girl with exceptionally beautiful silvery hair lying on the ground. I tilted my head, knowing that there had to be someone that had caused that uproar of enemies.
I walked over to hear, noticing that she had an empty hunger bar and quite low health. "Hey," I acknowledged her and she looked up. I shuffled through my backpack, hoping to find at a least a small piece of food to offer her so that she, at least, won't die.
I found a golden apple and gave it to her. I had more at the base so I didn't care about giving that away. She needed it more than me since she was injured. I should probably bring her back to camp.
She took the apple and took fast, large bites out of it. I chuckled and she playfully glared at me. "What? I just haven't seen a girl that eats so fast." I said, putting my hands up in a surrender. "Relax, we got time."
She smiled at me for a few seconds before returning back to her apple. Soon, she finished the apple I gave her and stood up, dusting herself off. "So Mitch, what's going on around here?" The unknown girl asked.
I looked up at her username and it read, star_gazer. I'd rather call her by her real name instead so I asked, "Uh, mind telling me your name?"
"Hm?" She answered. "Oh, I'm Aiden."
I thought about her name for a bit, before realizing that it's quite different from around here. "Well, Aiden, where are you from?"
"About that..." She trailed off for a few seconds and I looked at her, confused by this. What did she mean?
"I don't really know where I'm from."
"What?" was my immediate response. How did she not know where she's from?
"You mean, you don't know which army you joined?" She's probably a new spawn-in, but even then. New spawns shouldn't be all the way out here, they should be at the Meeting Place where new spawn-ins go to choose their army.
"To be honest, I don't know how I'm here in the first place." She replied and I looked back at her. But when I looked back at her, I noticed something else that caught my attention. Something that wasn't a player.
I sucked in a quick breath as Aiden continued to talk, completely unperturbed by my sudden uncomfortness. I pulled out two arrows and aimed.
Aiden's Point of View
I was explaining my story of how I got there in the first place, hoping Mitch would have some answers but he wasn't paying attention. Instead, he was pointing an arrow at me.
"M-Mitch, could you, uh, put that down?" I asked, suddenly nervous. In the back of my mind, a small voice was telling me that they knew this would happen but I wasn't paying attention. I was too scared at the moment to really pay attention to the voice. I took a step back but I immediately stopped when Mitch spoke again.
"Don't move." He said sternly and I froze. I'd bend to his rules if it allowed me to live, but then again, this is a dream, right? Yeah, so why was I so nervous?
I willed myself to forget what Mitch said and stand up for myself. "Mitch," I suddenly growled, although it didn't seem as menacing as i was hoping it to be. "Put the arrows down."
He tightened his fingers on the arrows which made me want to cower away but I knew I shouldn't. So instead, going with my thick-headed mind, I decided to be the 'brave' one.
I straightened up, just as Mitch let the arrows fly. One of the arrows hit me square in the the shoulder and I hissed at the sudden pain. The second arrow flew past my head and I hear a thudding crack.
Curiosity got the best of me and so I turned around to see what had gotten hit. There, standing less than a block away, was some kind of mutated Steve. He had no eyes, just like Herobrine, but he was surrounded by a light shade of purple that gave that ominous feeling.
The Steve's head landed with a thick, loud crack as the mutation fell to the ground, dead. I looked back at Mitch who's expression was grim.
"I'm sorry." I blurted out, knowing that instead of 'bravery', I was just acting out of thick-headedness and stupidity.
"It's okay," Mitch said and I was immediately calm. Well, not fully calm, considering there was still an arrow in my shoulder, but other than that, I was fine. "We need to get you back to my camp so we can get that wound fixed."
Just as he finished his sentence, Jerome had come running in, holding a...hoe?
We both looked at him in confusion, and he did the same thing, although his was more of shock than confusion. I guess he was really stunned though because he dropped the tool. It clattered on the floor with a soft thump and I looked between them.
They both still seemed to be confused and so was I, but Jerome decided to break the ice before me. "Uh, eheheheh, uh hi." He answered and that was enough to snap Mitch out of his random shock.
"Hey Jerome. We need to get this new spawn-in back to camp. She's got a pretty bad wound." Mitch shouted to the fluffy bacca. Jerome picked up his hoe and started running over. Mitch offered me a hand and I took it gratefully.
Mitch helped me to my feet and all three of us headed back to camp where many details would be spoken of, and many injuries were to be treated.
