Chapter 38

"You know, I didnt know you even wore glasses" Colby said to me as we entered the building.

He took them off my face and looked through them. He quickly handed them back to me and rubbed his eyes muttering 'fuck, you're blind'. I rolled my eyes at him before putting them back on.

My eye sights not even that bad, maybe his is just too good. Then again, what about him isnt perfect? I'll tell you if I find something.

"You should wear them more often, you look hot" he complimented.

He made his way over to the part of the wall where we carved our names into and traced my name before turning to walk towards the stairs, stepping over bits of wood and torn down wallpaper to get to them.

"Thanks" I smiled at him and ran my hand through my hair.

I followed closely behind him. I dont care how many times I've been here, it still gives me the creeps. Plus, I feel especially uneasy about being here right now.

I heard some noise coming from outside the building and jumped a little, getting closer to Colby. Thank god he didnt notice my little scare, he probably wouldnt ever shut up about it.

"Just kidding" he annoyingly said, basically saying I dont look hot in glasses.

As he began to make his way upstairs, he looked back at me and smiled. As soon as he looked away I rolled my eyes and flipped him off. I put my hand down after he stopped walking though, he was on the top step and looked around for a moment before shaking his head and moving out of my way. It was then that I took his snapback from off his head and placed it onto mine. I rushed past him and tried to make my way to the most torn down part of the wall, which wasnt a good choice because he quickly grabbed the bill of the hat and I fell back, flat onto my ass.

"Asshole" I mumbled as I stood up and rubbed my side.

He began to laugh at me, and I rolled my eyes at him. I fixed the hat on my head as I walked over to stare at the pond. It was weird because the water didnt have the same sparkle to it like it does at night. The clouds in it arent as pretty as the stars are. The ponds surroundings are more evident and take away from the ponds beauty. However, it does reflect the bright blue from the day sky, the same blue you can find in Colby's eyes.

So whats the point of looking at this pond in the day, when I could just look at Colby? There isnt one, but I'll still keep my eyes on the pond anyway.

As I looked at it, Colby walked up from behind me and set his hands on my waist. I was startled at first, but eventually leaned back on him slightly. He rested his head on my shoulder, and we both just stared at the water.

"Its not as pretty during the day, Have you ever noticed that?" I asked, looking over at him.

He smiled warmly as he looked at me before bringing his gaze back to the water. He took a deep breath before pursing his lips and shaking his head.

"I guess not" he murmured.

As his attention was focused on the water, I just looked at him for a while, studying his features.

He naturally always had this brooding stare. His eyes were just like the sky, but they were even more like ice. However unlike ice, you cant see through them. I can never really tell what he's feeling. I always have to just go off of the usual smile he has. Speaking of his smile, that brings me to his lips. They were very defined for a cis males lips. Then again, mine are too. I really like his lips though, even though chapstick wouldnt kill him, they're still very nice.

This is nice, awkward and uncomfortable, but nice. Both of our hearts were beating fast. My hands rested over his, which were loosely wrapped around my torso . We just stared at the pond, Complete bliss.

It had fallen silent around us, adding to the relaxing state we where in, but it left me feeling slightly off. Its almost too quiet, compared to how it was earlier.

"Hey, why are you kids in here?"
