"You guys know that I'm with you and we're in public, right?" Vicky voiced exasperatedly.

She glared daggers from Adam who was nuzzling and caressing Eva's neck to Raul and June who were busy sucking faces like they wanted to go at it right at the beach.

Adam had to hold back a laugh. He knew Vicky wasn't going to like him finding humour at her expense, especially when she looked so irritated.

June and Raul finally pulled back, breathing heavily, and June regarded Victoria cooly. "Nobody asked you to come, remember? I told you you were going to be a third wheel once again. I don't even know why you always complain."

She seemed to be getting irritated by Victoria's constant grunts of disapproval anytime she and Raul were at it.

If Adam was going to be frank, then Victoria was justified. June and Raul were the highest on PDA all around them.

"Says the girl who went stalking after a certain big black cock the following night after letting it brutalize her, even though she'd come complaining that she was limping!" Victoria shot right back.

Oh damn. Adam had never met anyone who had the kind of candor that Vicky had. The woman seemed to know nothing about euphemism.

He wondered in that moment whether there was any difference between June and a tomato as the woman looked down at the sand, a sheepish look on her face.

Eva and Raul burst out laughing, and Adam chuckled. "Oh my God, I fall for you more every time you come out with us." Raul forced out, nearly sagging with laughter.

June's head shot up instantly, and she glared at him. However, unfazed, Raul took the opportunity to capture her lips. June's vexation seemed to fly right away as she and and Raul swallowed each other's tongues unabashedly. Frankly, they could get quite gross.

"Seriously?" Victoria said incredulously. "I spent all that time rebuking you guys for nothing? You guys should get a room already!"

Adam was beginning to suspect that this was more than about June and Raul's eye-role inducing PDA. Eva had told him how June had always preferred her sex life open because her parents' marriage had been a disaster.

He didn't know about the others, but whenever Victoria went out with them, he saw something like longing in her eyes.

A longing to experience what it felt like to have only one person to call or text in the night before bed, a longing for something more defined.

Adam rememebered not experiencing that feeling for years after Akua, his last girlfriend back in high, until he'd met Eva. Until Eva had changed his whole perspective on relationships. He'd never felt this happy about being with just one woman for so long. Of course, one month wasn't that long, but you get the drill.

He turned Eva around by the waist so that she was facing him, wrapping his arms around her as he claimed her lips in a slow, sensual kiss. God, the things this woman made him feel.

"Oh my God, not you too. Somebody shoot me now." Victoria groaned like she wished the earth would open and swallow her up. "I'm never accompanying you again on your Saturday double dates."

The four of them laughed. A worker from the parasailing company they'd been waiting on came to inform them that the boat was now free and they were ushered into it along with seven other people, everyone given a life vest.

The weather was suitable enough to allow two people to parasail at the same time, and those who came on their own agreed to be paired.

Adam looked down at Eva who was hugging his arm while they sat on one of the boat seats, wondering whether she was nervous.

"What?" She asked, beautiful amber eyes narrowing at him.

He chuckled. "Nervous?"

Eva beamed with an aura as confident as the shake of her head. "Maybe I would've ran away months back. But I'm not nervous now because you taught me how to only experience the fun in every thrill ride, and because I'm doing this with you."

He told his heart to stop being so foolish and beating so furiously even as he leaned down and kissed her lightly on the lips. Seeing Eva smiling nowadays was like standing in a large field filled with blossoms of spring.

He couldn't help dreading that summer would soon come and wilt away all the blossoms, leaving him cold and bare.

Uncertainties that lurked at the edge of his consciousness. Neither of them had brought up the subject about where this was going. Adam preferred it that way.

The couple who were first in line were a complete disaster because none of them had ever parasailed before. It took some rather patient coaxing from one of the parasailling operators before they allowed themselves to be seated and fitted into their harnesses.

They were screaming their head off when the winch set the parachute in motion, and yet they returned with exhilarated looks. The next couple looked like they'd done this before and only relished the experience again. They returned with similar expressions.

Victoria and a guy she'd been paired with were next in line. The guy had been trying to make conversation despite how flagrantly Victoria had been ignoring him, and he was still looking fascinately at her as they were fitted into the harness.

Adam nearly chuckled, wondering whether the guy was thinking that Vicky's glare was because she was fascinated with him too.

Raul and June were next. Adam still marvelled at how the sexual awareness between them was always almost tangible. After their wild time back at June's party a month ago, they'd both finally confessed their feelings, Raul being first.

Now they couldn't seem to keep their lips away from each other for just a minute when they were together.

Raul had purposely treated Adam to dinner for having invited him to the party that night. He'd never seen him so content with just one woman before.

When it reached Adam and Eva's turn, Eva let out a loud squeal of excitement as the winch powered the parachute and they began soaring into the air. Soon they were practically levitating about 700 metres from the water. The vista of the lightly rippling sea and a bit of the city of LA was stunning.

Eva was squealing throughout the ride. "I'm definitely doing this more often."

"Yo Alfredo." Lucas called out, drawing Alfredo who'd just entered the bar's attention.

Luckily, this was a bar with only light rock music to facilitate communication without people having to shout over loud music.

Alfredo headed towards them, his eyes flashing with wariness for just a second when he looked at Raul. Then reaching their table, he bumped fists with all of them before taking the seat that flanked Adam and Lucas and directly faced Raul.

"What's up?" He turned to look at the barman. "A bottle of beer." The order was delivered in a matter of seconds.

"Your brother here was just telling us about how much his relationship has progressed with June." It was Lucas who spoke.

Alfred snorted. "That's all he talks about." The words were delivered in a tone too cool not to be purposefully bitter.

Raul seemed to stiffen, struggling to not let the smile slip from his face as he focused on Lucas. "Seriously, Lu, it's not that I'm shunning you guys. June just makes me feel like being with her all the time."

Alfredo set down his beer with an unnecessarily loud thud after taking a long swig. "That pretty much sounds like shunning your buddies to me." Alfred's words could've been humorous if it wasn't said in that same cool tone.

Tension was mounting and Adam was beginning to get uncomfortable. Apparently, so was Lucas who quickly spoke before Raul could react. "You know, I'm very happy for you, bro. As long as she truly feels the same way."

"How could you even say that?" Raul said, narrowing his eyes cockily. "You know I'm impossible not to desire. She loves being with me too."

"Yeah, until she's scrambling to pick up pieces of her heart to fix it back because you fucking broke it." Alfredo ground out.

He didn't waste time, getting up and scooting back his chair. Bringing out money, he tossed it on the table, and stormed away, his beer barely touched.

Raul's hand gripped the neck of his beer bottle tensely. He looked like he wanted to ignore everything, until his restraint seemed to snap. Getting up and scooting back his chair, he stormed after Alfred.

Adam and Lucas glanced at each other in alarm. "I know this must be hard, but Alfredo has really got to pull his shit together." Lucas sighed.

"You took the words right out of my mouth."

"We'd better go before one of them does anything rash."

They rushed after their friends after Lucas had tossed some dollar notes on the table because today was his treat. They spotted Raul and Alfred facing each other in front of a car some distance away just outside the bar.

"You know what?" Raul was saying, not holding back any anger. "I'm getting sick of you always finding something pessimistic to say whenever my relationship with June pops up. What the fuck is your problem, anyways? We live in the same penthouse, yet we barely hang out nowadays because you..."

"We don't hang out like before because you're always so busy fucking your freaking brains out with June, remember?"

Their voices were getting louder. Adam was dreading what was coming next when Raul slightly pushed Alfredo on the chest, issuing him a look full of confusion and reprehension.

"She's my fucking woman now, man. Why do you even think I'm going to break her heart?"

"You act like I don't know you. Raul, the model, getting ladies to fall at his feet at every whim. Hitting and then running, sending breakup souvenirs. How long is it going to be before you get tired of June and send her one?"

"If I didn't know better, then I would say you are jealous." Raul said, looking at Alfredo challengingly.

Adam noticed that they'd drawn some attention from passersby and advanced, knowing he had to get there before this broke into a fight or something.

"That's because I fucking am." Alfredo growled. Oh no.

"What the fuck man? How could you like June when you knew I liked her so much? We were supposed to be brothers." Raul looked shocked.

"I don't fucking like June." Alfredo raised his hands in exasperation.

"Then why the hell would you be jealous?"

Before Adam could reach them and prevent Alfredo from doing something he was surely going to regret later, Alfredo had grabbed Raul's head and crashed his lips to his. It took a stupefied Raul ten seconds to snap out of his shock long enough to push Alfred away.

"What the heck, dude? Why did you just do that?"

"Because I'm in love with you, damnit!"

I hoped you liked the chapter! I realised that I never really gave supporting characters a story in my previous stories. That is why I'm giving them some time here. Hope it is good!
