Chapter 7

Ginny's POV

The next few days, Ellie was eating less and less food. It was clear it was because she was upset, but no matter what I did, she wouldn't lighten up one bit. I would tell jokes, and do stupid things, but all she did was stay quiet and read books. The next morning owl post came and a letter was dropped on my lap.

Dear Ginny,

I saw your letter and contacted her parents. They wrote back that nothing except for time would work. I say try your best to make her as happy as possible. I'm going to send her a gift, I hope that would lighten her up a bit. How is she doing now? Has she started eating again? I hope so because I'm concerned for her. Just let me know as soon as possible.

Love,

Mum

Ellie, who was sitting next to me had multiple parcels on her lap. She opened them and her eyes went wide. It was Mum's gift, and I knew they had made her happy because the first thing she dived into was the fudge. "Mmmm... This is so good." Ellie said to me. I smiled. I got my best friend back. I wrote my response back to Mum on the back of the parchment.

Dear Mum,

She wasn't eating, but she just got the fudge and the rest of your gifts now and she is back to the way she was. She's eating food now. You work miracles, Mum.

Love,

Ginny

I rolled it up and began eating.

Eliana's POV

The fudge was amazing, it was the best fudge I've ever tasted. I saw Ginny smiling at me as I ate it. I guess she planned it, I thought. Harry got up and began to leave, so he could be ready for his Quidditch match. I ran up to him and said, "Good luck Harry, I hope you win." He hugged me and said goodbye.

I began to wrap up my meal and went outside. It was pouring so I grabbed the umbrella I got from Hogsmeade and went to watch the game. I sat with Draco, Chris, and Ginny. At the beginning of the game, it all fell apart. Dementors started to flood the field. They looked like they had one target. Harry. Hundreds of dementors went after him while a couple started to move, towards me. Professor McGonagall was sitting behind me and shot silver stuff at them, chasing them away.

Then, Harry fell. He was over 200 feet in the air. Cedric caught the snitch and then realized what was happening. "HARRY!" I cried out, but I could not help him from this far away. Harry began slowing down as he fell, and I realized it was Professor Dumbledore. He was fuming. He levitated Harry onto a stretcher and I ran down. Professor Dumbledore used the same spell as Professor McGonagall. I dashed to Harry while the whole team was around him. He looked like he was gone. I started to cry, and everyone hugged me. Cedric tried calling off the match but they counted it as a win for Hufflepuff.

Someone tapped on my shoulder and pointed to Harry, who seemed to be waking up. I ran over to him. I looked awful, soaking wet, sniffling, bloodshot eyes, but I didn't care. "Harry," I quietly said.

"What happened?" he asked. I explained everything, to the dementors and Professor Dumbledore.

"I thought you died. My only family left. I thought I lost you." I said shakily. Harry grabbed my hand and held it.

"I told you, you'll never lose me." He said. I nodded, but I thought of all the times he almost died. The most recent one is today. Everyone started to crowd around Harry, but they all let me stay at the front.

"Harry, if you die, I will kill you," I said. He laughed. I let him have time with his teammates and stepped back. I felt someone hold my hand. Chris.

"Ellie, I have something to tell you. I've only known you for a short amount of time, yet I feel that we belong together. I.. I like you. Like like you. You don't have to like me back..." Chris said.

My face turned red hot. I held his hand, "I like you too Chris." He pulled me into a hug and from the corner of my eye, I saw Draco storm off.
