Chapter 2
There is always something going on in the Burrow, whether it's Fred and George, the ghoul in the attic, the gnomes, etc. But it was one of the best weeks of my life. I was sharing Ginny's room for the week and she once walked in on me changing. She quickly turned around and let me finish changing. Once I was done I sat down, and she sat down next to me. "Ellie, I have a question, I feel that it's rude to ask, but why do you have so many scars on your back." I paused, I didn't know if I should tell her, but I trusted her.
"I used to get bullied a lot. People would beat me up at school, especially this one girl, Jaz, who was the headmaster's daughter. She would get away with everything. I always sat in the back of the classroom because if someone sat behind me, they would throw stuff at me and whack me with rulers and pencils. I would constantly report it but it was me against my classmates. I had no friends because everyone was scared of Jaz and her group. I once fought back but I almost got expelled. But they once took it too far. I was walking home and I was about to cross the road, but they pushed me in front of incoming traffic. I was almost hit, but I suddenly was on the other side of the road. I went home and told everything to my parents. They tried suing the school, but we lost. Then I got the letter to Hogwarts, and I was finally free." Ginny paused. I began to tear up thinking about everything. She pulled me into a hug and I sat there, crying my heart out. Mrs. Weasley walked in and noticed I was crying.
"What's wrong dear?" She asked in a soft voice. I knew I could trust her, she was like a mom to me. I shakily told her everything. She hugged me tightly and said. "I can do something about those scars." She told me and pulled out her wand. I felt warmth flow through me. "Are you sure they weren't just jealous?"
I shook my head, "It was pure hatred." She nodded, held my hand, and took me downstairs.
"Are you hungry?" She asked. I shook my head. "But you haven't eaten all day, you're quite thin."
"Oh no, it's fine. I've put on some weight, I'm 31.75 kilograms, and I've gotten quite heavy." Mrs. Weasley went quiet.
"Sweetie, just go upstairs for a moment, I need to talk to Ginny." I nodded and went back to the room.
Molly's POV
"Ginny, I think Ellie has an eating disorder. Have you noticed any problems with her eating?" I asked.
Ginny nodded, "She never finished her meals at Hogwarts and she only takes a small amount. One time, I went to the bathroom and I saw her forcing herself to vomit." I gasped, was the bullying that bad? I thought to myself.
"Ginny, when you go to Hogwarts, please make sure she doesn't starve herself. It could get really bad, and she could faint, fall into a coma, or even..." I didn't finish the sentence but Ginny understood and sadly nodded.
"I promise I will." She answered. She walked upstairs, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
Do her parents know?
How long has this been happening?
What if something happens at Hogwarts?
I pulled out a sheet of parchment and began writing.
Dear Eliana's parents,
Hello, this is Molly Weasley and I just discovered that Ellie has an eating disorder. She's extremely outgoing and I'm shocked to hear this news. I will take as much care of her as possible. I'm scared that something might happen to her at Hogwarts.
Love,
Molly.
