THE YOUNG BRUNETTE tapped her fingers nervously on the front of the car. Kara who had just gotten her new glasses was stand next to the girl. Her along with Emma had helped her get ready for the big event today: graduation. 

Kara looked at the girl who was standing next to her. "You heart rate is racing like a million miles an hour." Kara stated, looking at her. She had her head bough into a tight bun behind her head. Nayara told her she could have wore it free, but Kara told her it was for the best. 

"I just didn't had a graduation back in my world. This is it." Nayara told her. Kara's eyes widen at the news. "I just...got stuck in here before I could actually go." She reminded her. 

"You shouldn't be worried about it." Kara told her before looking at the blue hat. She reached for it and fixed it. Nayara looked up when she saw a familiar face come their way, along with many others. "Oh my god. You came!" Kara said, walking closer to the Professor X. 

She then looked at Hank who was cleaning his glassed. "Emma informed us." Xavier told her. "Congratulations." He told her. 

"Thank you all for coming. This means so much to me." Nayara said. "I can't believe the X-Men are in my graduation." Nayara whispered to Kara. Kara smiled back at her. The young girl's smile widen when she saw Logan with a bow tie. "You are wearing a bow tie! I can't believe my eyes!" Nayara said in excitement. 

"I didn't intend to miss it." Logan told the girl. Kara reached inside the car and puled out Nayara's camera. 

"Come. Go. I will take the photo." Kara told her. Nayara smiled and walked to the X-Men. Xavier sat in front of the girl, while Hank and Logan took both of her side. Nayara's eyes widen when she spotted Kitty Pryde on the far corner. 

"Is that Kitty Pryde!" Nayara whispered to Logan. The man nodded in response. "She has the coolest power." Nayara said in very low voice. 

"And controlling water isn't cool?" Logan asked her. Nayara replied with a smile. 

"Say, cheese!" Kara told before taking a few pictures. 

"We will make sure to get good seats." Logan said to the two. "Who are you?" He asked Kara. 

Kara gave him a bright smile, which mirrored Nayara's. "I'm Kara Danvers. Nice to meet you. I'm a friend of Nayara's." She said, presenting herself. Logan stared at her blankly before walking away. "You want to see?" Kara asked her, and Nayara looked at the picture. 

"It's really cool." Nayara told her. 

"Do you want me to take a photo of you two?" Emma said, walking to the two. She looked down at her watch, seeing the time briefly. Nayara gave a slight look to Kara who nodded in response. She handed the camera to Emma. Emma saw the happiness of Nayara who seemed excited by the fact that Kara came to her graduation. Emma took her position and took a picture of the two hugging. 

"I can take a photo of you three." A voice said next to Nayara. She looked up, smiling at the sight of Peter. 

Nayara walked closer to him and jokingly hit his shoulder. He in returned smiled back. "I couldn't say no to the greatest photographer in the school." Nayara replied to him. Peter's cheek turned to an slight pink. 

A slight cough was heard from behind the two teens. Emma gave a raised eyebrow to Nayara. "Hi, Ms.Frost." Peter said, nodding at the woman. 

"Hi, Peter. Nice to see you." Emma told him. Kara send a wink to Nayara and she latter blushed. "If you say so." Emma said handling the camera to Peter. He took a few steps back, and took a variation of photos of Emma and Nayara, and even with Kara. 

Peter handed the camera to Nayara, but not before kissing her cheek quickly. "I will see you later. I have to find my aunt." Peter told her. Nayara nodded at him. "Are you doing anything after this?" Peter asked her. 

Nayara shook her head. "No. It's just me and Emma, and my new roommate." Nayara told Peter. 

"Well, me and my aunt are going to go and get some Thai to celebrate. I was....thinking if maybe...umm...only if you want to. Maybe you can come with us, and bring Emma and Kara along." Peter told her. Nayara nodded at him. 

Peter nodded at her. "I will see you later, then." Peter said before giving a wave to the two women behind Nayara. He walked backwards, keeping his eyes on his girlfriend until he crashed into somebody else. He quickly apologized before going back to his path. 

"He really likes her." Kara said to Emma. Emma looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "By the look and by the fact that his heart rate just increases massively when he was talking to her. It's quite adorable." Kara commented to Emma. 

"I didn't know you wore glasses." Emma told her. 

"To avoid my x-ray vision and hide my identity." Kara told Emma. "Nayara got them for me." Kara quickly added. Emma nodded at her. 

"Thank you." The older blonde told her. 

"For what?" Kara asked her, pushing her glasses up her face. 

"For being there for her." Emma answered. 

Kara smiled back at Emma. "Always." Kara told Emma,  looking at Nayara who had walked away from the group to talk to Logan and Storm. Logan listened to the young girl as she endlessly talked to the two of them.

Nayara sat next to Carter, looking over her shoulder at Peter. Peter reached for her hand, and gave it a light squeeze. "Have you turned around yet?" Peter asked her. Nayara looked over her shoulder and saw who was coming. Her eyes widen in pure shock. 

Steve Rogers walked to down the row of seats. He looked down at his watch, seeing that the graduation had started and that the principal was talking about the future that the students held in their hands. 

Steve walked to what he thought was an empty seat and asked the man if it was free, but it wasn't. After trying out multiple times, he started to give up. However, Emma had saw him and moved her purse that was on the seat next to her. Just as he was about to pass the row Emma was in, she stopped him. 

"Rogers." Emma said, motioning him to seat down next to her. "This seat is free." Emma told him. 

Steve nodded at her, and took a seat next to the blonde. He caught sight of a blue giant thing and when he leant forward, he saw that down the same row was Beast chatting quietly with Kitty Pryde. "I know you aren't here to judge." Emma told Steve, reading his questions within his mind that were being sparked by the blue furred man. 

The american hero shook his head. "No. I'm here to see Nayara's graduation." Steve told her. "I know she doesn't want me here, but I wasn't going to miss this iconic moment." Steve added.

"She is the third to the right in the fourth row." Emma whispered to Steve. Steve followed her instructions and saw Nayara who was looking at him. Her shocked face faded and it turned into a happy one. Steve waved at her and she gladly waved back. 

Nayara turned her eyes to Peter. "I didn't know he was going to be here at all." Nayara whispered to Peter. A student shushed her and Carter glared at the boy from the row in front of them. 

Peter smiled. "I knew he didn't want to miss it." Peter whispered back to her. 

"Shut up you, idiots!" The boy who had shushed them said. 

"Don't call her a idiot! We both know she is smarter than you, Smith." Carter replied back, narrowing her eyes at him. The boy turned back his attention to the principal. "I didn't know you knew Captain America." Carter told her. Nayara shrugged at her, not wanting to reveal anything. 

"I met in in the internship." Nayara told her. Carter smiled at her before the three of them turned their attention to the principal. 

Emma looked at Steve. "She never said she didn't want you to be here." Emma told Steve. 

"She feels guilty for what happened." Steve told Emma in a low voice. The only one who was able to hear it was Kara, due to her super hearing. "She is too young for that stuff." He sighed.

"She cares for you, even if I don't see it." Emma replied to him. 

"I have kept my distance as she asked. Tried to tackle every possible threat that might appear in her way in the process. They are dying to get her to talk about god knows what." Steve told her, knowing that the blonde knew about HYDRA and their desperate attempt to get Nayara's knowledge. Steve looked over his shoulder, making sure there was no sight of Sharon trying to ruin anything. 

"You are looking after her." Emma stated, smiling lightly at that. 

"She once looked after me. I got to admit, I do miss my protege." Steve told Emma. 

The blonde let out a soft laugh. "You will be amazed on how righteous, honorable and brave she is. I know she learned it from the right people." Emma told him.

"I thought you hated me." Steve said to him.

"If I hated you at all you will have not come near my daugh-near Nayara at all, and you would have been six feet under." Emma told Steve. "I didn't hate you. I just thought that the best way to keep her safe was you not getting it involve in her life, but after this past weeks I have seen how crushed she was with her own decision. I wanted to protect her at all cost. She is my world, Steve. I would do anything to keep her safe." Emma told the other blonde. Steve nodded, looking how the students were starting being called.

Kara looked at Logan who was sitting next to her. "Who is that man talking to Emma?" Kara asked Logan. The latter frown and glared at Kara. Kara fell back in her seat.

After a couple of minutes, Nayara was able to see the previous kid stand up from the chair. She looked over the shoulder and Peter was giving her an encouraging smile. Nayara heard her name being called and stood up. She walked up to the stage, and from where she stood she was able to see the X-Men applauding. Kara was giving her a thump up. But nothing could top off the proud look that was in Steve and Emma's face. Nayara's heart swell up with pride and gave both of them a bright smile.

As she was walking down the stairs, she spotted somebody in the shadows. Her focused face turned into a small happy when he saw the man who had helped save her and Steve in the shadows, with a small smirk in his face.

Nayara walked back to her seat, and looked down at her diploma. She knew that sadly; her own family were not able to see it. She also knew that she should not dwell on that too much because her new family where standing just a couple feet from where she was.

Nayara walked up to where Steve was standing. He was next to his motorcycle getting ready to leave. The young brunette had literally ran out to catch up to him.

"Steve." She called out for him, stopping a few steps away from him to catch her breath.

Steve Rogers turned around to face her. Before the girl could say anything, he was already forming an explanation. "I know-" He said but was cut off by Nayara's action.

She hugged him and as quickly as it came it was gone. "Thank you for coming today. It means a lot really." Nayara said to him. She opened the diploma, showing it to him. "I never got to have one of this in my world. I was gone before I knew it." Nayara whispered.

Steve smiled at her. "I'm sorry about everything. It just that...I-Thank you for coming." Nayara told him. "Are you doing better?" She asked him.

Steve gave her another smile, seeing the worry in the young girl's face. "Your nose isn't swollen anymore." Steve told her, pointing at it. Nayara nodded at him. "I'm super soldier, I heal fast." Steve said to her.

"You are steal human, and I still care." Nayara said.

Emma looked around for Nayara not spotting her at her. "Nayara? Where did she go to?" Emma said, calling out for her, but Nayara was out of her reach. All she had seen was Nayara running away.

Kara stood calmly next to Emma. "She is with the man you were taking to at graduation." Kara said at Emma. Emma looked at her. Kara pointed at her hear and then at where she had seen Nayara talking. Emma walked outside and saw from a distance Nayara brambling about god knows what with Steve. Emma relaxed when she saw her.

Kara on the other hand stiffen when she caught up with the mention of Nayara's name. She looked around, spotting many people talking. Kara tilted her head to the side, trying to focus where the conversation was coming from.

'shoot the girl. Just the girl. They don't know I'm out of prison yet' a female voice said.

'What do we do we all the witness.' Another voice said. A man.

'Don't make a mess' the female voice replied.

Kara walked to Emma. "Take Nayara away. Now." Kara instructed Emma in a hurried hushed voice. Kara walked away, and into the school. She opened her shirt, reviling the big red 's'.

Nayara was quietly debating whether to tell Steve about what had happened with Tony, but she did not want to cause a dispute between the Avengers. So, she what was thought was right. She again thought about others before herself. She remained silent.

"You know, I have kept taps about the entire HYDRA thing." Steve told her. "Sharon was sent into a high security prison. She shouldn't be bothering you ever again." Steve told her.

Nayara gave him a thoughtful smile. "Nothing else has happen." Nayara said. Kara Danvers fell off the sky but nothing else, Nayara thought.

As Steve was about to congratulate her, a bullet was shot her way.

It never hit her.

Kara stood tall in front of Nayara, blocking all the bullets coming her way. Steve pulled Nayara down. Kara looked at Nayara over her shoulder. "You okay?" She asked her. Nayara nodded in response, both amazement and shocked at the sight of Kara. Kara turned around seeing the man keep shooting at her.

Steve pulled Nayara, behind another car, making sure she was out of the sight. The bullets bounced off Kara's chest and landed on the floor. Kara smirked before shooting his gun with her heat vision. The gun fell to the floor, melting slightly.

Kara stopped when she saw a car come her way. She thought they were trying to use it against her, but it turned right towards Nayara. Steve took the young girl in her arms and pushed out of the way just in time. Kara flew and landed in front of the car, stopping it with her hands before it could arm somebody else.

Steve looked at the woman who got out of the car. He frowned when he saw it was Sharon Carter. The woman pointed the gun at Steve. Steve stood protectively in front of the young girl.

Before Kara could do anything against her, she was kicked to the floor by Spider-Man. Peter looked down at Sharon who was starting to get up. "I don't like you." Peter told her. He then was about to shoot a web at Kara, but Nayara stopped him.

"No!" Nayara screamed at him. Nayara send him a pleading look, that did not go unnoticed by Steve.

Sharon stood up again, but she only lasted a second. Kara raised her fist back before punching the woman. The blonde landed on the floor unconscious.

Kara looked at Steve. "Get her out of here." Kara said to him, before flying off.

Emma pushed people out of the way through the commotion and ran to Nayara. "You okay?" She asked and Nayara nodded at her, her hands shaking.

A car stopped right in front of Nayara and Steve. Logan pull down the window, motioning Nayara to get inside. "Get inside." Steve told her, opening the door for her.

"What about you, Emma?" Nayara asked curiously.

"I will stay behind." Emma told her. Nayara nodded at her. She closed the door behind her. As Logan drove off, another two cars followed, all by filled with the X-Men.

"Why did you stay behind?" Steve asked her.

"Because they wouldn't expect her to not be with me." Emma told Steve.

Steve walked to the body of Sharon, frowning at it. Then he looked at the man who had dropped the gun. He was starting to leave, trying to hide among the chaos.

Steve looked at Peter. "Keep her here. Don't let her out of your sight." Steve told him before running off after the man.

When the man looked behind his shoulder and saw Captain America, he ran. Steve did not had a struggle to catch up with him. When he did, he pushed the man against the wall.

"Who send you?" Steve asked him, pulling the up by his collar.

He gave Steve a wicked smile. "You know who send me." He told Steve. "It wouldn't be the last. Times are chaging. She will have to adapt to the new uprising." The agent told him.

"What do you mean?" Steve asked him.

"She holds information. Unknown to us. We know what she can do with the water. We know what SHIELD could pay to gain this information. What the NSA will love. They will like proof of the mutants. She cannot hide from it." The agent told Steve.

Steve out of fury pushed him harder into the wall. "She doesn't do anything. She cannot do anything with water." Steve exclaimed at him, even though he knew better.

"We know her little secret, and what she can do. Senator Kelly will pay great money for our help, information. A war is coming, Captain. A war is coming and HYDRA has the upper side." The man said.

Before Steve could question him further, a thump was heard behind him. The Captain looked over his shoulder to see the girl who has saved Nayara: Supergirl.

"Who send you!" Kara exclaimed, her eyes turning red as she showed off her heat vision.

"Hail HYDRA." He said before he went slump in Steve's arms. The man had died with his own secret. Now it was up to them to find it out.
