Our Girl is Black and Blue

When our girl came home last night

She'd been beaten black and blue

None of God's creatures deserves that punishment

Sirens wailing and blue lights flashing

The boys in blue are out hunting

He'd better run and hide

Or his goose will be fried

Maybe I'm just as bad

For all, I want to do

Is to skin him alive

I know two wrongs

Don't make a right

But right now

I don't care

He's done

Footnote: This situation has never arisen in my life, I think it's an outward reflection of my subconscious loathing of men who beat women. To be honest, although I know it's not so common, my loathing of bullies of any sex is the same.
