Hope is like an oasis

There long enough

For you to get up

When the going gets tough

You still persist

You see the puddle of water

The only thing better than a shelter

In the hot, dry sands

With mysterious, sinking lands

You keep walking

Even when your feet slowly kill you

You keep trudging

Even if surviving chances are few

And even though you know

That it's merely an illusion

You still go and go

Because you can't afford to lose hope
