Clean Like a Professional (Achievement #54 = 2 points)

Pick up a duster, feather one,

Wipe the shelves till the dust is gone,

Buff the knick knacks, dust, ho ho ho

Till of grime there are traces none.

Oh ho, oh ho, singing is optional,

But clean like a professional.

Grab the broom and the floor you sweep

Gather the dirt, in a small heap,

Get the corners, sweep sweep ho ho,

For the house neat and clean to keep.

Load the clothes and run the laundry,

Wash the dishes and crockery,

Sore and tired, but oh ho, oh ho,

Got to vacuum the drapery.

Note - The same is inspired by the song, "Walk Like an Egyptian" by the American band The Bangles and released in the mid eighties. A very catchy tune, though I am not too sure if my poem does justice to that tune. (I am not a singer, so not sure if it "sets" in the beat.)
