Fido lived in a house with a bird

Tweety sang all day long

Every time Fido tried to sleep

all he could hear was that song

In the same house there lived a cat

Sylvester was his name

And one day Fido got Sylvester

to join him in a game

They both sat under Tweety's cage

one barked, the other howled

Tweety opened the cage's door

looked down at both and scowled

Fido smiled and praised her voice

his compliment did inter-est her

But when she came close, Fido struck

and got Sylvester, to ingest her
