"Let's go out"

You blushed and stared up at Ace like he had said the craziest thing you've ever heard.

"E-excuse me? Out, like as in.." Ace cut you off with a chuckle.

"As in, let's go eat." He took your hand and pulled you off the couch.

"Right, I knew that."

Time skip

Ace took you to a cafe you used to go to all the time with Sabo and Koala. It was your favorite place ever. You and other Ace ate here all the time. He would always buy your food and order for you. He always knew what to do before you did.

'Stop it, (y/n)! He wasn't real. Stop comparing them.' You scolded yourself.

Your thoughts were cut off by Ace snapping his fingers in front of your face.

"Huh, what?"

"Are you ok? You dazed out and barely touched your food." Ace looked at you worriedly.

"I'm fine. Just thinking."

"About?"

'I could easily confess to him right now but I can't. Not yet.'

"Just wondering why a handsome freckled man like yourself is still single." You had no idea where that confidence came from.

'I guess I'm used to talking to other Ace so much it made me more comfortable with him'

"Why? You interested?" Ace smirked at you and observed your now blushing face.

"Pfft, no, in your dreams."

Ace was about to respond but someone interrupted him.

"Oh hey guys!" Your cheery friend Koala answered.

You and Ace looked up at them, smirking down at you both. You blushed, knowing exactly what was going on in their minds.

"Mind if we join you?" Sabo asked

Ace shrugged and got out of his spot to sit next to you so that they could sit together. He slid into the booth next to you, very close to. You took in his scent and warmth but tried not to seem nervous even though you knew your heart was pounding in your chest.

Sabo and Koala sat across from you both and just when you thought you were safe, Koala decided to speak up.

"We didn't ruin a date did we?"

Ace smirked and glanced at you. "According to (y/n), it is in my dreams"

You glared at him and punched his arm. Though it kinda hurt cuz gosh darn it he was so buff. You missed being able to feel his arms whenever you wanted.

'My favorite pastime' you thought to yourself.

You got cut off by your thoughts when Ace went to the bathroom, leaving you with your two best friends, starting you down and waiting for answers.

"No, it's not a date," you said with a sigh

'Maybe I should tell them'

"I do, need to tell you guys something though"

You explain to them this other life you had while in your coma. How you and Ace had a life together and how hard it is not to have it now. You took a deep breath when you finauhed explaining and looked at them, waiting for them to say something.

"THATS SO SAD!" Koala cried into Sabo's chest.

Sabo hugged her and looked at you with a soft look. "Maybe it's time you confess to him for real. Everything you had in your other life, you could have now."

"You're right, It's just a little sad that I don't have it now. But I guess I get to fall in love with him all over again. Yeah, I'm gonna tell him when I get the right time."

Timeskip

After your meal, Ace walked you home. You decided to not waste any time hiding your crush. You were on a mission to make Ace fall for you. You've done it before.

The atmosphere was perfect! Sunset, birds chirping, you and him walking together while your hands brushed against each other every now and then, making you wanna hold his hand so bad. His hand brushed against yours again and you glanced at him, taking the chance to tease him.

"Ace, if you wanna hold my hand that badly you can just ask~" You smirked at him, watching his face turn red and look at you, chuckling a little after.

"I didn't think you had it in you to tease me"

"Really?"

"Yeah, cuz you're so nice"

Now it was your turn to blush. He just called you nice!

"You think I'm nice?"

"Of course I do. I always have. Luffy for example, everyone loves him but he gets on people's nerves and they show it. You have never shown it. You always try to make sure everyone around you is happy"

Your heart was going so fast you swore he could hear it in this silence.

'How do I respond to that?'

You grabbed his hand and made him stop walking, when he turned around you did the last thing he expected. You kissed his cheek and let go of his hand, looking away with a blush.

"Thank you, Ace. For today and all that. I feel like things are getting back to normal again."

Ace smiled softly and hugged you.

"You're welcome"
