It had been almost 2 months since you woke up from your coma. You never felt happier than you have recently. Even though you and Ace weren't quite official yet, you enjoyed him taking the time to get to know you. He discovered your love for movies and insisted on watching some of your favorites, not that you minded at all.

In return, you also took some time to do some stuff he likes. Like basketball. In high school he was known as Fire Fist Ace for the way he shot the ball into the net. In your coma life you learned how to play against him so when you kicked his butt he was a little shocked. He claimed he was just going easy on you but held onto the bet you made and bought you ice cream.

You two became best friends and you were hoping soon you would be more than that.

Tonight was the company event. Shanks had left a bit early to get things set up while you stayed behind to get ready. Ace was on his way to get you since you agreed to be his date tonight.

After many face time calls with Koala you decided on a simple red dress that hugged your curves just right.

You fixed your (h/c) hair and applied some makeup before going downstairs. Ace had fantastic timing by the way. As you walked down the stairs you heard him knock. May I just say, his face was priceless! When you opened the door his jaw dropped and his face turned as red as your dress, looking you up and down. It took him a minute to collect himself, clearing his throat and holding a hand out for you. You took his hand and let him lead you to the car, also taking the chance to check him out as well. 'Man can he pull off a tux!' You thought to yourself as you got into the car, Ace shutting the door for you and getting into the driver's seat.

"You look...absolutely gorgeous. "

"And you look absolutely handsome" You gently tugged him closer by his tie and kissed his cheek.

Timeskip

Ace pulled up to Mihawks mansion wheethe event was being held and parked his car, getting out and opening your door for you.

"Come on, I wanna show off my hot date," He said with a wink, holding his hand out for you.

You took his hand and got out of the car, letting him walk you inside. You both took a moment and looked around the room in awe.

"I forgot how big this place is," You said, eyes sparkling in amazement. Ace looked at you and just couldn't comprehend how utterly beautiful you were. 'How did I get so lucky?' he thought to himself.

He was dragged out of his thought by Luffy jumping on him and hugging him. "ACE!!"

Ace groaned and pushed him off as Sabo, Koala, and Marco walked over. "Luffy, what did I tell you about personal space?"

You giggled at the sight before Koala hugged you. "You look so pretty!"

"You do too Koala. Sabo is a lucky man~" You smiled as you caught up with your best friend.

Ace though, was being asked a million questions by his brothers. About you specifically.

"Are you asking her tonight?" Marco asked

"I'm gonna try."

"Did you plan out how you're gonna ask?" Sabo asked.

"Yes I got it Sabo"

"Did you bring any meat?!" Luffy asked with his signature giggle.

"Cut it out meat head! Pop's told you to be good tonight" Ace glared at Luffy before turning back to his other brothers. "I do have to admit I'm a bit nervous."

Sabo rested his hand on Ace's shoulder and squeezed it gently. "I promise it'll be worth it."

Ace nodded as you and Koala walked over. Koala hugged Sabo's arm and pecked his lips before whispering something in his ear. Sabo nodded and smiled at his brothers and you.

"We haven't told Pop's or Thatch yet but..." Sabo started.

"We're pregnant!" Koala finished.

You all gasped and hugged them. You and Koala specifically teared up while you felt her stomach. The brothers congratulated Sabo with a pat on his back.

"We're gonna be uncles!" Ace cheered.

"Shh Ace! Pop's will hear you!" Sabo scolded.

You moved towards Ace and hugged his arm. "We're so happy for you guys. Pop's is gonna be ecstatic at the fact of having a grandkid." You said, making Kaoal smirk.

"Maybe we won't be the only ones giving him grandkids soon~"

You and Ace blushed madly at her insinuation. You both becoming a stuttering mess, not able to form proper sentences. You managed to change the subject, asking Ace for a dance and pulling him to the dance floor to escape the awkwardness.

Ace rested his hands on your waist awkwardly as you wrapped your arms around his neck. You both stayed in an awkward silence before you finally decided to break it. "Ace?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for being my date tonight."

"I wouldn't want it any other way." Ace spun you gently before pulling you close and continuing the dance. "I actually have something I need to talk to you about."

"Oh? What is it?"

"Well, I-" Ace was cut off by Shanks pulling him backwards by his shirt. "That's too close casanova"

You rolled your eyes and gave your dad a hug. "How's the event going?"

"Good! I have to thank Mihawk for letting us host it here. Make sure you say hey to him when you get the chance. "

"I will"

"Good. And you." Shanks turned to Ace. "Dont have too much fun"

"Wouldn't dream of it old man" Ace replied. After he walked off Ace let out a sigh. "Is he ever gonna cut me some slack?"

"He's getting there" You assure fixing his tie. "Why don't we go get some fresh air and talk?"

Ace nodded and led you outside to Mihawks garden. His maid Perona takes very good care of it. Ace led you to the bench and sat down with you, looking at the stars.

You glanced at him and intertwined your fingers with his. "What did you want to talk about?"

Ace gave your hand a gentle squeeze and turned to look into your eyes. "(y/n) I uh...I've thought a lot about my feelings."

You instantly became nervous at his words. He's gonna end things with you and your gonna be stuck alone forever or probably end up with Law and bearing his grumpy cat children!!

You shook away your thoughts and nodded to signal for Ace to continue. "I loved these past 2 months with you. It's like I made up for the past 5 years. You make me wanna be a better man when I'm around you. I don't know if I can live up to your coma version of me but I wanna try. So, I'm asking, do you wanna make this official and be my girlfriend?"

Tears came to your eyes as your heart exploded with love. You screamed 'YES' before connecting your lips to his. Ace instantly kissed back, keeping the kiss loving as he held your waist and pulled you close.

You ended up making your way into Ace's lap in the middle of your make-out session, your dress riding up your thighs. Ace broke the kiss and looked into your eyes. "I love you (y/n)"

You ran your hands through his hair as you panted, trying to catch your breath. "I love you too Ace, but we should probably head back inside before my dad realizes we aren't in there" You pecked his lips and stood up.

Ace smirked and groped your ass, pulling you close and pecking your lips back. "Let your dad find us~" You gasped in surprise and lightly pushed his chest, blushing madly. "Ace!"

Ace chuckled and stared up at you in awe as you rested your hands on his shoulders. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Cuz you're more beautiful than any flower in this garden" Ace hugged your waist and buried his face in your stomach.

"And you're the most handsome man ever. Now come inside and let's tell Mihawk hey and then I promise you we can do whatever when we get back to my house" Of course you were unaware of what "whatever" meant in Ace's head as he just smirked and stood up, holding your hand and walking you inside.
