Piece i did for day 1 of a December advent challenge- theme was your favorite animated character

It was gonna just be Kyogai's demon form but because I didn't wanna draw another drum I ended up doing half and half and frankly I'm glad I was lazy

Day 2 of the challenge was ur oc in an art style you like so we furfing with this one 🔥 especially cause her bday is the 6th and we love our microwave girl

Day 3 was ur oc in a Christmas outfit so I spun the wheel (arcane fans gonna hate me for that ref) and got Caim. Also felt stressed so I decided to be messy and crazy and experimental with the drawing. And I forgot Caim's freckles so- 😃 👍

Yall may remember over a year ago I designed my adaptation of leviathan. Not a great design but I had the right ideas. And then obviously I had my DND campaign Leviathan who I still love dearly. So I've been excitedly waiting for the Helluva Boss design for leviathan to drop for OVER A YEAR.

The episode came out a few days ago (LOVE Patrick page so I was really excited that he voiced Satan. Perfect choice there, was the highlight of the episode for me, and I'm not much of a HB fan). At first when I saw leviathan I was like "tf are glitz and glam doing with the sins" and after a bit I realized. Honestly what the fuck. As someone who is DEEPLY into character design. What. First of all, the design did NOT feel as godly as Bee's or Ozzie's and it's clear that there's some favoritism among the sins. I never would've guessed that she was envy. Second, why the fuck is there not even a LITTLE green in the design? I get that Mammon is already all green because of money and stuff but green is LITERALLY the color of envy. I'm all for color symbolism and frankly it was upsetting for me to see some of the most notable color symbolism go completely ignored. Third, the fucking neck on the left head? She good? She need to see a chiropractor or sum???

Anyways yeah I was pissed lowkey by how underwhelming the design was. Leviathan was considered one of the strongest of the sins too (third, if I'm remembering correctly) so her just being like a TikTok influencer lookin ahh monsters inc bitch upset me deeply.

Definitely made me miss my silly tea boy and so I went and revamped my headcanon design

I suppose he's a little underwhelming as well but i also feel like it's still kind of reasonable. I wrote out above all the symbolism and how he would work as a character, and could go on for a while about his character arc. I may make him a little more striking later (probably add the infinity-like part of his sigil like a halo of sorts, or something else to add a slight godly element to it.

I will say I don't mind the way it was approached in the show with the two-faced aspect and the conjoined twins kind of thing going on, but the way it was executed was kind of questionable to me.

I told a non-artist friend today that I thought it looked kinda bad and they said "Yeah" like HUH? I'm sorry but if you're gonna agree that my art is bad please at LEAST have concepts of an excuse 😔
