Chapter III: To Mantle!
Salem: Now Y/N your next objective is a simple, but also... not so simple one.
Me: Whatever it is, I'll get it done.
I assured, Charlie leaned against a wall adjusting his scope on Lobotomizer as Lilith was currently modifying her boots. The blades were gone but the boots gained a full metal finish, with retractable blades facing downwards for kicks and quick kills.
Salem: Your new mission is to go to Atlas.
Me: Why Atlas? Why not Vacuo? Why not Mistral?
Salem: Because you're my greatest asset. I cannot waste you in pitiful attacks on Academies. Clearly you're above that.
I bowed to her a bit, thanking her for the proclamation.
Me: Thank you, I appreciate it.
Salem smiled a bit as she nodded back, continuing.
Salem: Your next objective is to go to Atlas. Get some men and be-head the snake... That is the Schnee Dust Company.
I almost scoffed. She pulls me away from going toe-to-toe with another huntsman academy... for this?
Me: Uh, may I inquire...
Salem: If the Grimm are to take over, humanity must have no chance. Get rid of their dust supplies, you might as well be cutting off their vital bloodline.
That made a little sense, eh what the fuck?
Me: Okay, consider it done.
Salem: Very well.
Getting up from the chair I looked at both Lilith and Charlie. Nodding slightly. I already had it all planned out in my head, the perfect storm...
Lilith: Time to go?
Me: Yup.
Charlie: Fantastic, perhaps this'll give me the opportunity to tell you the story of how I killed the leader of the Vale Drug Cartel... what was your name again?
He wasn't staring at me, he was staring at Lilith. She looked at him, sighing.
Lilith: It's fucking Erich Von Manstein...
Charlie: Calm that mouth love, geez.
Me: Lazuli, that's enough.
Charlie looked at me with surprisingly little regard for what I just said. He glared at me with deadeye expression, he's a lot taller than what I thought he was. At least 6ft 1in
Charlie: Listen here short stuff, yes you're Salem's little playing card for her to use when she needs somethin' done. But now, I'm he main game, so how about you get to the back, and be the brains of the operation eh?
Me: I don't want this to end in your blood staining my hoodie... Please stop flirting with my girlfriend.
Lilith: Yeah, how about you take his advice. You don't want the wrath of Beacon's Doom to come crashing down.
Charlie's eyes grew wide. He looked at Lilith as if to say 'you kidding me?' then he pointed at me in curiosity.
Charlie: You the punk who blew up Beacon?
I nodded slightly, but sinisterly. Enough to show him that I meant business.
Me: Yeah, why? Were you planning on going there?
Charlie: Actually yes...
Lilith: Why are you like... 20?
Charlie: I'm 19, by the way lady... Failed school for a year, cause I cheated on my exam.
I snickered, Charlie didn't seem to mind.
Me: Jeez, how'd you burn out?
Charlie: Teachers saw the note on my hat.
Me: That's like the dumbest way to cheat on an exam.
Charlie: Wow, thanks for telling me that now puto.
Me: Don't be such a smartass if you couldn't pass ONE exam.
Lilith: Alright, boys! Let's just forget all this every happened. Let's try and work this thing out together.
Me: Whatever, we just gotta get to Atlas...
Charlie nodded, shouldering his Sniper Fishing Rod.
Charlie: Fine then, Ace. Just so you know I still don't like you...
I patted his left shoulder, causing him to turn around.
Me: You don't have to like me, I don't have to like you either, to be honest I want to just bash your face right here right now. So... truce man?
Charlie thought about it for a moment, before shaking my hand as well.
Charlie: Truce.
Weiss POV
It's already been a while since Ace was captured by Atlas. Since Beacon was mostly destroyed, my dad had to bring me back to our mansion back in Atlas.
Jaques: And Weiss, this is why you shouldn't have gone to that Valean School in the first place. That inferior kingdom has crime all over the place, rats hiding in every corner. Perhaps they should've dumped the while Vytal thing and went for bomb threat drills instead.
My dad mindlessly mocked the tragedies and horrors I'd seen at Vytal. Laughing alongside with my brother for a while.
Weiss: Dad... just stop. It's not just the Criminal Underworld that is to blame. The Ace of Spades is...
My father scoffed, dismissing what I'd said.
Jaques: A simple name of no meaning to a petty crook. He can't get us in here dear Weiss, don't worry unlike Bleakon Academy we are much safe in here.
Rolling my eyes, I looked back to my father who was currently enjoying a meal with my brother Whitely.
Weiss: He can't get to Atlas at all dad. He's in prison, they caught him after he destroyed the Academy.
Whitely humphed, seemingly remembering something that he'd read upon to the similar topic of the criminal.
Whitely: Well, Edelweiss Von Frozen Nose. *snickers* I've been listening to the News lately... and guess what. You have nothing to fear anymore of this so-called Ace of Spades.
Weiss: How so Whitely?
I asked, Whitely stood up and walked towards me, until he was just right beside my chair.
Whitely: I heard, that the ship that contained your Card-Friend. Lost control on the way to Atlas Citadel, it crashed with all hands lost. Including General Ironwood... You have nothing to worry about. A large price paid, for the best of the future.
This relieved me, that boy I had fought in Beacon was seemingly no longer human... The acts of atrocities he'd brought upon Beacon gave me only but a glimpse of what horrors lay inside his head. To hear that such. fanatical maniac had finally been killed was almost a blessing since that day at Beacon.
Weiss: *sigh* Well that's one less terrorist to worry about.
Jaques: Come come Weiss, your foods growing cold.
Weiss: Coming father.
A/N: You're now presumed dead, allowing you to be stealthy once again. The Schnee's don't expect you, the law enforcement believes you to be dead...
Soon it'll be time for the Ace to strike...
