Chapter 1: Falsely Accused
Arelia's POV
"Arelia Williams, you are accused of killing Mr. Luke Carren in ice cold murder. How do you plead?" The announcer of the Magic Council asked me and I stood up proudly, hands bound together shaking and chains clanking against the pole my hands was tied up to.
"Not guilty!" The Magic Council leader shook her head and immediately told the announcer to continue.
"Arelia Williams is hereby sentenced to 60 years in prison for the first degree murder of Mr. Luke Carren as all the clues point that she is guilty of murder." The announcer announced and I was shocked, the fight went out of me as people around me began whispering in soft tones. I caught sight of my defense attorney as she shouted in protest to what the announcer had said and I met her gaze. I faked a sad smile and smiled softly, trying to stop my anguished face expression to show as I tried to stop my tears to form. She hugged me, sobbing while telling me that it will be okay and that she will find a way to help me out of the magic prison and to find the real killer as I hugged her back tightly trying to find solace in her words. This was the last time that I had seen the light before all fell into darkness.
-----Second year in the Magic Prison-----
"Please! Just let me out of here!" I pleaded in a way to make the guard in charge of me take pity of her situation but saw that the guard had no pity in his eyes.
"You'd better stay in this prison, scum." the guard spat and left me alone in the cell as I covered my face with my hands and cried.
"I did not do anything wrong......"
-----Nine years later-----
"Miss, there is someone who wanted to see you." One of the guards informed me and I nodded weakly to him. He unchained my hand and immediately brought me to the integration room. I saw a man staring down at me and gulped in fear. He had golden blonde hair that was sculpted attractively, had a pointed nose, slightly pouty lips, sharp jawline and the most seductive part of him is the eyes that is blue like the ight blue sky that could see your every weakness and vulnerabilities.
The appearance of the man that I described is alike to this guy.
"Do not fear, sweet lady. I am not going to hurt you." He reassured me formally as he sent a hard look at the guard beside me who immediately tensed at his glare. He immediately slammed a piece of paper at the guard's chest and I caught a glimpse of that paper before it slammed into the guard's chest. It was a form, a release form. I stared at the man in shock and he smirked.
"I was able to appeal to the Magic Council for this form." He turned his head to me and I could see him staring hungrily like a wolf at me. "Don't think you are off the hook yet, miss Arelia. The search for the true culprit in your case has begun." I stared at the man in fear as his smirk turned into a feral grin.
