EPILOGUE
Seven years later.
Opening the front door to their home, Seokjin grimaced at the sight before him. The mess of toys, blankets, pillows and everything else that loaded the living and dining room. He sighed softly, disappointment, but not surprised that this was the scene he came home at times.
He made his way through the mess, walking into the kitchen that was at least not as messy as the other rooms, and putting the numerous bags of food he had in his hand on the counter. Distantly, he could hear the yelling, the happy chuckles, and the loud laughter. It made his heart flutter with Joy, with excitement of how happy his family must be.
He might have been slightly mad at the mess, and tired from a long day, but that all always went away whenever he thought of his family. The sight of them alone always took away his worries, gave him a renowned sense of belonging and accomplishment. That's right, Namjoon and him had accomplished a lot in the last seven years.
For starters, they had six kids. Well seven if you counted Jungwon; Yoongi and Jimin's son, who was staying over for a few nights.
He walked to the back, sliding open the door to the sight of almost everyone on the trampoline. Laughter ensued as the four boys and the little girl playfully pushed and shoved each other. Everyone wanted to jump the highest, but it became funny as they fell on their butts, and brought each other down in the process.
"And then what happens after they cut them?"
"They process them, then they squeeze the juice out of them with a machine, like this...." On the hammock by the shade, was his husband, Namjoon, keeping an eye on the kids on the trampoline, while simultaneously playing with their extremely inquisitive four year old last born, who was now getting a tickling session from his dad. Seokjin stood there a moment, listening to Namjoon explain how orange juice was made, and generally just basking in the feeling of being apart of something this great.
"Appa..." He was finally noticed by the kids on the trampoline, who scrambled off before rushing to him. Younha, the twin to their other last born, was the first to jump to his arms, her cute dimples on display as he hugged her Appa tightly. She rarely acted clingy, often shy or being tough, which led Seokjin to believe she must have really missed him through the night, and the whole day.
"Hey sweetie, how have you been?"
"Fine." She answered with a wide smile, looking ready tell about her day. "Give me a kiss first baby." Seokjin said as the other kids swamped him. Younha gave him two, on both of his cheeks before pulling back to look at him with a smile. Seokjin couldn't help himself as he peppered her face with kisses too, he had missed his kids a lot, and being apart from them for almost a whole day had been hard for him. Younha giggled as Seokjin kissed her tummy too, prompting the others to start whining for their Appa's attention.
Seokjin eventually placed her on her feet, crouching down so that he was leveled with everyone. Immediately they broke into a series of questions and statements, almost demanding his where bouts for the whole day, why he had even gone in the first place, and if perhaps he brought them anything from his impromptu trip.
Jumbled stories of how their day had gone, and of course telling on the things daddy did when Appa was not around followed. After listening intently, Seokjin gave them each a big kiss, apologizing for having left them abruptly, and promising that he wasn't going anywhere anymore.
Jihwan, who had run from Namjoon's lap, and wedged himself between everyone to be in his Appa's arms, took the official position of the baby. Being the youngest of the twins, which ultimately made him the last born, it was unspoken law that he belonged right with his Appa and Daddy, his position was almost non negotiable when it came to affection, and it didn't surprise anyone when he made grabby hands to Seokjin the moment he got his kiss.
"How is my baby?" Jihwan giggled, much like his twin earlier, his equally present dimples shining in the now evening sun. "Grandma dropped by, and cooked lunch for us, because daddy couldn't do it." Seokjin laughed when he made eye contact with his husband, who was now stood behind the kids, looking happy as well to see him. "She did? What did she make you?"
Helped by the other kids, they listed the wide range of foods Namjoon's mum had made them for lunch, down to the glasses of water she had provided, "whoa, you must have been full."
"Yeah, and she let me play in the tub with bubbles a little longer."
"She did?" Seokjin asked amused, looking around to see the others nodding along. "Then she gave Soyeon porridge for the the cold." Sunwoo, one of the triplets, stated from his place beside Seokjin.
"Did it work, is she better now?" Seokjin asked, genuinely concerned for his first born, who he had left the previous night, still ridden by a heavy cold. They all just shrugged, looking clueless of how it had gone. "You guys seem like you had a good day, did daddy treat you well?"
"Yeah, but he broke the vase by the piano." Seunghoon, another one of the triplets, told on Namjoon immediately, not bothering that the said man was right behind him, Seokjin laughed as he saw his husband suck in a hushed breath. He looked almost done, and Seokjin could totally relate. Looking after six playful kids, seven if you counted Soyeon who was resting upstairs, could be exhausting. It was something one could never get used to, no matter how many times you did it.
"If daddy looked after you so well, I guess your little tummies don't want my delicious pizza dinner anymore." He joked as he playfully poked them on the stomach, all rushing to put their hands on their belly, but nonetheless still excited of what their dinner was.
"Can we really have pizza for dinner?" They all asked awed, to which Seokjin nodded in agreement, but put his hand up to signal an incoming condition. "Only if, only if you gather up your toys and blankets, and keep them in their right place." They were all too bummed to question it, all scrambling off to the inside to do as they were told, including Jihwan, whom Namjoon hadn't gotten to separate from him the whole day.
"How did you do that, I could barely get a word out before they all ran away." Namjoon grumbled, to which Seokjin stood to his feet, opening wide his hands for his baby. He brought the alpha into a hug, Namjoon immediately dipping his face into the Omega's neck, and pressing their bodies together.
He growled lowly, smelling the different scents that lingered on his omega, hands going round his body, and finally his ass, where he squeezed possessively. Seven years down the line, and his alpha was still the same man, he was still the very honourable, handsome, but horny alpha Seokjin knew, and it didn't surprise him now that Namjoon had missed him this much. "Stop, the kids are around." He laughed as he pried him off, pecking his lips instead.
"But I missed you."
"It's been one day..."
"With the kids. You know how long that is?" Namjoon asked incredulously, keeping his hands on the Omega's waist. "I actually do, I do this almost everyday."
"You deserve an award." Namjoon said with a laugh, finally kissing his mate. He kept it short and brief, before pulling away to cup his cheeks. "You look tired." He muttered in observation, Seokjin nodded along smiling up at him. "I am, been awake the whole night, and day."
"How are the girls?" Namjoon asked, not having gotten a chance to inquire during an earlier phone call. The omega had only called in to check if they were doing ok, before he hang up because he was needed.
"They are gorgeous, and beautiful, they look a lot like Jimin." Seokjin smiled, clearly happy for his friend who had just brought two little girls into the world after long hours of labour. After having Jungwon, and experiencing pregnancy with Seokjin, who was expecting the triplets at the time, Jimin had not gotten another chance to get pregnant again, even when Seokjin and Namjoon had gotten the twins, the Yoonmin duo had remained trying, until now, when they were finally blessed with two girls.
"And Yoongi?"
"He cried when he met them." Seokjin said, smiling at the memory. "Did you get it on tape?" Namjoon asked eagerly. "Yeah, Jimin wanted me to because he passed out right after."
Namjoon let out a loud laugh, making the omega raise a brow. "I can't wait to see Yoongi crying." He said, genuinely amused. "What is so funny about him crying. You cried when you found out about Soyeon, you cried even harder when you met the triplets. And I have you on tape, crying about the twins too."
"That's not the same." Seokjin only shook his head, not wanting to know what masculinity competition his husband and brother had going on, that didn't allow them to cry, or be seen crying. He pulled the alpha with him to the house, asking how Soyeon was doing instead. "She still has a stuffy nose, but seems ok nonetheless."
"She must be really sad being alone, and sick." Seokjin said, worried about his daughter. Now ten, she was still their little pumpkin, she was still the same Soyeon she was at three, still out going and free spirited. She was still eager to learn everything, and was still inquisitive on a lot. One time at a family dinner she had hunted his favourite uncle down - Hoseok, and demanded to know why he and her aunt Yeri had arrived together in the same car. The two had been too surprised to even answer, and had left the others stunned, and actually questioning, why they seemed so buddy buddy of late.
But she was also growing into a beautiful lady, bearing most to Seokjin in resemblance, her scent had molded into something sugary, something between apples and berries, a lot like pears. Seokjin suspected that in three to four years she would be presenting as an omega, but he knew better than to assume or put surety on it. He focused more on how fast she was growing, and how sad it was making him that his little girl would not be little anymore.
"I'll go bring her down for dinner, will you check if he the others have cleaned up their toys?"
"Sure thing babe." Namjoon agreed while he walked opposite to go check on the crowd of little ones. He knew close supervision was always required to get them on their feet, especially the boys. If not watched closely, they would either start a game, or get into a fight with each other. There was no in between with them, and it would get even worse when Jungwon was added to the mix.
He was extremely dominant, evident from a young age that he was like his father, Yoongi, and whenever he would get to come over to spend time with the triplets, or vice versa, it was chaos for either families. Jungwon got along well with Sunwoo, the oldest of the triplets, they were both tough, and playful, with good sense of humor, and would crack everyone up whenever they were together. They liked the same things, and were absolute best friends even at school. But Seunghoon was not to be forgotten either, being the second of the triplets, he was equally tough, and often than not, he would challenge Sunwoo and Jungwon to whatever it is they would be doing, he would do it better or differently, but it wasn't news that a little scuffle would always break from that.
It was also notable, that when Sunwoo, and Jungwon were into more playful fights, Seunghoon at almost seven, was drawn a lot to entertain activities, he sang at the school kids choir, and absolutely adored idol Jungkook. He also played the piano, taught to him by uncle Yoongi, and would be the first to shake a hip, alongside uncle Hobi, when there was a happy gathering at the home.
Then there was Seonghwa, the last of the triplets, he acted as the middle child, and would always task himself by creating peace, or trying to break up the fights by being the mediator, but once in a while he would be the cause of it, or would be caught right between. Nonetheless he was a happy child, familiar with different sports in school, especially baseball and swimming, which he had joined the junior team for. He was always smiling, and absolutely loved and adored Seokjin. He was protective of his Appa, and Namjoon found it endearing how at a young age he aware and respectful of the world around him.
Namjoon still remembers vividly the day Seokjin had gifted him these three angels, who looked alike but still bore significant differences to themselves. He had been excited, but lowkey scared at the same time. Soyeon had been a difficult one to deal with, but taking care of three at the same time was something else, it was more than a just responsibility, it was a challenge. They had to grow new traits to accommodate each and every one of their different personalities.
But with the help of a cheery Soyeon, they had managed. She didn't mind playing and caring for them when they were only a few months, and by the time they were three, the roles had reversed. The triplets were absolutely protective of her, and watched out for anything that would upset her.
Namjoon was proud of how Seokjin and him were bringing them up, he couldn't believe how fast time was moving. Soyeon only had a couple of years before she presented and the boys the same way. A few times Seokjin and him had talked about what their kids would present as, it wasn't anything with surety, just a hunch, something that would prepare them for the future of what a home they would have.
But it was always difficult to tell with the young baby scent they still bared to them. Almost impossible with the mixture of slight musk, and sweets that enveloped them at the same time. Although the one person Namjoon was almost sure of, was Younha, she was a tough cookie for a four year old, and reminded Namjoon of himself when he was younger. She would always square off with the triplets, and would be caught pushing and playfully shoving around with the boys whenever possible.
But she absolutely hated anything bad happening to his twin brother, and always had a protective hand joined to his when Appa and Daddy weren't around. Jihwan was the only person she was extremely nice to, and would give anything to see him mirror her dimpled smile. Appa and her big sister had been at the end of that rare affection a few times, but knew better than to get used it. Let's just say that these weren't the only traits that had led Namjoon to think that she would present as an alpha in a decade or so.
There were a lot more, but as always they weren't completely assuming, or taking a particular mindset with their kids. If anything they were teaching them that everyone was equal, everyone was important, and everyone was to be respected. All ranks were equal, and it didn't matter who you were, Appa and Daddy loved you the same.
After cleaning up their toys and keeping them back in right full place, Namjoon had them clean up for dinner, while Seokjin brought down Soyeon, who was rather gloomy with a still stuffed nose.
"How are you feeling pumpkin?" Namjoon asked as he placed a kiss on her head, letting her sit down on a chair after. She sniffed again, huddling closer in her sweater. "Still bad. I don't like it." She grumbled, breathing through her mouth while her siblings looked at her with mixed reactions. "Give it time, you'll feel better by tomorrow."
Seokjin served them all, familiar with what everyone liked, and wanted. While Namjoon led the twins to the sink to help them wash up. He felt like they were too young to be doing it properly on their own, or maybe it was because he felt like he needed to hold onto their childhood a bit longer. They were their last borns, and Seokjin and him would never get another chance to care and baby anyone else after the twins. Unless otherwise, which was highly unlikely.
He helped Younha first, then Jihwan, who had gone back to clinging to him like earlier.
He liked to be babied, not only because he was the last born, but because he was the cutest too. He was the exact replica of a physical Namjoon, down to his dimples, and how clumsy his dad was. Taehyung had even named him junior, a name that had started to catch on with the recent numerous family gatherings.
Jihwan was another happy baby, he was a people's person, and never wasted a second before crawling into anyone's lap and giving them a hug, especially his twin sister, who was of course protective of him.
But he was inquisitive too, he wanted to know everything despite his young age, and would often ask questions about anything and everything. He wanted to know what Daady was writing in his office, and why Soyeon was in the picture on the wall with their parents while he wasn't, or why that elephant he saw on the Geographic channel was so huge.
Seokjin and Namjoon were learning to live with him, and how to handle him, especially now that he had joined kindergarten only a week ago. Endless questions about the few things that they were taught always ensued the moment Namjoon or Seokjin picked him up. It was a task, because he was a different character from the others, and often they felt like they were handling a grown up. But that kind of made it easy too, it meant he understood a lot of things, and took a different path than the others.
After dinner, and brushing their teeth, Namjoon and Seokjin let them watch television for an hour or so before sending them to bed. Younha and Jihwan were always the easiest to put to bed; they would be dreaming as soon as their heads hit the beds, if not already sleeping while watching tv. They were the youngest, and would be worn out by the daytime playing the moment they got to settle.
Then came the quads, or rather the triplets and Jungwon, they would cause a ruckus, jumping around on the two bunk bends in their large room, all while trying to stay silent, or pretending to sleep whenever Namjoon and Seokjin would come check on them. They would eventually tire out and fall a sleep, if Jin didn't yell at them to go to bed already.
Then finally it would be Soyeon's turn, and as always she would request Daddy to tuck her in, even with her other siblings now present, she was still her father's princess, and she had forever taken a place in his heart as his angel. Namjoon still adored her like he did ten years back, he still thought of her as his precious little girl who had glued him and Seokjin together, and never hesitated before giving him whatever she wanted.
Only then would the two love birds retire to bed. To the safety of their bedroom where their lives lied. The confines of their four walls that still held memories, deep memories that constituted what they were today. Their room held their happiest moments, and their darkest hours. These walls held their biggest achievements, their deepest secrets, and their painful failures.
These walls held them, and their family.
Seokjin smiled softly as he felt the arms wrapping around his waist, he leaned back letting Namjoon back hug him. The alpha trailed soft kisses up, and down the side of his neck, his body pressing tightly to it. "You smell wonderful." Namjoon whispered in his ear, biting his lobe gently. He purred in agreement softly, feeling a lot more relaxed than he was earlier.
He was still in his bathrobe, only having taken a hot shower minutes ago, using that new shampoo that Namjoon loved on him, not more than his scent though. "Did you wear this for me?" Namjoon asked playfully, pulling at the strings of his robe. "Think again alpha." Seokjin teased while he moved from Namjoon's grasp to turn around. He laughed lightly as the bare chested alpha bit the inside of his cheek, keeping in his own smile.
"I am guessing your tired today, lucky you, you'd be limping tomorrow." Namjoon spoke in that deep tone, not so discreetly checking him out. Ten years down the line and they were still as passionate as ever. They were still freaky, had mind blowing sex, and went to occasional weekend getaway, just so they could have some lone time.
It was needed, especially with several kids, and work that wanted their attention through out. Seokjin had gone back to working at the company, he was actually a member of the board now, and personally invested heavily in their business. That, and he was a personal adviser to the CEO. Twice or thrice a month he would be out in their company, attending to pressing issues, and helping Namjoon, otherwise he stayed home with his kids, and oversaw their other businesses.
He liked it that way, liked being closer to his kids, watching them grow daily.
"You flatter yourself too much." He joked, but pecked other on the lips, pulling him along to the balcony. "How about a bit of wine before bed?" He asked as he took the bottle on the small table, wiggling it to the alpha who nodded in agreement. There was nothing like a good wine, or a glass of champagne to unwind them at the end of the day. They would sit in their bubbly tub, or cuddle in the room while they watched a movie, just so they would relax from the world, and of course from their kids.
Tonight Seokjin thought it was a good time to have a little fun, everything around them was going so well, so fine, they had the birth of the Yoonmin twins to celebrate, and the recent engagement of his brother Taehyung, that was still fresh in their minds. So he pulled the alpha to sit on the couch, before straddling him earnest. He handed him a glass, pouring him a good amount, before pouring his own and finally settling with him.
Seokjin kissed him occasionally as they spoke, both feeling contented with the night sky above them. They watched the pretty stars through the glass that hang over, the omega always awed by how new it looked every night.
"I love you baby." Namjoon confessed, kissing him gently on the lips. Seokjin smiled into the kiss, putting his glass down, before returning it with a passionate kiss of his own. Every moment he spent with this man, he realised how incredibly lucky he was.
He was in love with the strongest, bravest, most loving, caring, thoughtful man he could ever think of. He had been blessed to spend a life with this pillar, rock of a man who would give anything to see him and their family happy. He loved him, and he would do so for eternity and beyond. They had spent only mere years together, and god willing they would spend much more. Much more to see their kids grow, to see their grandchildren grow, and finally to grow old together. Seokjin didn't think he wanted anything more than that. All he ever needed was the love of this alpha, all he needed was him, and lucky he had him, now and forever.
"What is it love, why are you crying?" Namjoon said in worry as placed his glass down, immediately cradling the omega face in his hands.
Seokjin smiled lovingly, letting the alpha wipe his cheeks, while he looked deep into Namjoon's eyes. "I love you. I love you so much. Don't ever forget that." He said, kissing Namjoon once more. Namjoon kissed him back, pouring the same passion into it, and caressing him gently. When they pulled away, they hugged tightly, Seokjin laying on the alpha's chest, while Namjoon held him within an inch of their lives.
"I can never forget that, and I love you more." Namjoon mumbled in his ear.
THE END.
