Chapter 69

Swiftly moving through bodies of busy, oblivious to their surrounding people, Taehyung followed his supervisor through the open office, trying to jot down her instructions, and keep an eye out for his safety at the same time. Two months into it, and he still hadn't gotten used to the  occupied base, and the constant noise from everyone being on call. If he didn't know better he would say he worked at stock exchange market, or maybe on a busy accounting office.

But he only worked at a set of an upcoming, greatly anticipated korean drama. After four years of college, and an eventual graduation, Taehyung now interned for his need to widen his experience, and to market himself and his talent. This production crew had been the best choice of what he was looking for. It was kind of like a school if you thought about it. Except you didn't have to pay, and you weren't actually taught - you learnt by yourself, through observation, and recording.

School didn't teach you that, how to grow as person, how to juggle up your responsibility in the grown world, with actual grown people. School didn't teach you how to earn a living off your talents. It only taught you how to further it, and allowed you room to nature, but that was about it.

So yeah, it provided something completely different, which Taehyung needed at the moment. A change. Of course he had had to interview and favourably compete with other people to get the part, which he and another guy landed, out of the more than twenty that contested.

Still, Taehyung felt overwhelmed at times, these raging halls, and the incredible amount of famous people he met daily on production base, left him drained. In other words he wasn't used to it. All the flashing lights, cameras, instructions, and to be able to learn through it all was a job in itself. It didn't help that he was an assistant to the executive crew, he had to be on his toes constantly, and occasionally they would abruptly ask for his input on something important, in which case they needed a right answer, not necessarily his opinion.

But then again, he loved the challenge, he had taken it up for himself, and he honestly could already tell the improvements he was making individually, the sense of accomplishment that was starting to settle within him as a result of doing something for himself.

"Get it off my desk, and email it to the address. Is that clear?"

"Yes ma'am." He answered, putting down the last of directions in his note pad, looking up find her gone already. He was kind of a personal assistant to the executive crew as well, they gave him light paper work when production wasn't necessarily running, which Taehyung didn't mind, but did think he wasn't getting paid enough for it.

The internship paid, not a lot, but it paid. Enough to enable him to feed, and get a decent roof over his head. He still depended on his dad for a lot of things, but he was slowly getting off it, setting grounds for himself.

He went through the instructions once more as he walked back to his own space, trying to figure out how he would carry them out in the course of the day.

"Tae." He turned around at the mention of his name, coming face to face with his fellow intern, who he had become friends with in the last two months. "What's up?"
"Manager wants you in his office." He said blankly, Taehyung's face forming into a frown, as a chill went down his spine. The manager wasn't particularly the nicest person, and Taehyung and his friend had gotten yelled at a few times in the course of two months, so you couldn't blame them for being afraid.

"Why, did something happen?" He couldn't help ask, to which the boy just shrugged, "I don't know dude, but I wish you the best." He looked around cautiously, before a sigh left his lips. "Hurry, before he gets into an even worse mood." He stated, giving Taehyung a pat on the shoulder, before going back to his space.

Taking a deep breath, and trying not to think of the mistakes he had made  recently, that would cause him trouble, he walked south to the said office. "Sir?" He said when he was invited in after a knock. "You called for me?" He asked when the man looked up from his work.

"Yeah, come here." The man said, ordered rather, standing up from his desk. Taehyung gulped, feeling like he had landed himself in hot water already. Quietly he followed the man who rounded his desk to the window on the left, as he wiped his glasses. Taehyung waited as he placed them on, heart and mind racing of the possible things this could be about. The man in particular didn't look angry or furious, he just had his usual bitch resting face on.

He drew open the blinds as he spoke, voice strangely calm. "Why is your boyfriend in the parking lot, with a banner that reads I love you"

"What?"

"He is right there, see for yourself?"  Never, with the possibilities that Taehyung had thought could be, did he ever think his supposed boyfriend in his handsome glory would be outside his work area, with a carefully written banner on his hands, eyes searching.

Taehyung didn't think he would be in much trouble today, but god, he could get fired with this. The nerve of Jungkook to do this. He looked back and forth between outside and his boss, who looked at him expectantly. "Ummmm, he's not my boyfriend." Taehyung finally managed, gulping thickly as his boss raised his brows.

"Oh, I know damn well he ain't telling that to me, and I have seen you sneaking around with him a fair number of times to think he is doing this for someone else. Or am I wrong about this?" He asked to which the beta's eyes widen before shaking his head, "No sir..."

"I am so sorry sir." Taehyung tried again but the man put his hand up to stop him. "Its cute and all, but get him out my parking right now, he is starting to cause a commotion outside with his celebrity status." The man offered, Taehyung nodding immediately and bowing in apology severally before leaving the room.

He practically sprinted outside, pushing open the doors with such force he almost broke the glass. He was mad, so mad at Jungkook for doing this, for almost getting him in trouble with his boss after everything that transpired recently.

But a stupid part of him felt so excited for what the younger was doing, he secretly felt elated to be professed love to like that. This being the third time, and the most public. The others had been the touching lyrics to his new hit single, and the subtle hinting that they might have been about someone on his interviews. Taehyung knew they were about him, they were things that only he and Jungkook knew about, lines of promises that only he and Jungkook had made to each other in the past.

He quickly ran to the parking, watching how a few by standers had started gathering, recording on their phones and probably calling on the paparazzi.

His eyes met Jungkook's rather determined ones, and he didn't hesitate as he jumped in, grabbing the alpha by his hand and leading him away from the numerous eyes. He couldn't think of anywhere safe and paparazzi free, so he led Jungkook to their downstairs office bathroom, pushing the younger in, and locking the door. "This is for you." Jungkook finally spoke, eyes sparkling like his smile as he offered Taehyung the banner he still had in his hand.

Taehyung slapped it away, growing angry at how light Jungkook was taking this. "What do you think your doing?" He asked, stepping in front of the alpha, height challenging Jungkook's. "Confessing my love to you."

"Are you crazy Jungkook, you could have gotten me in trouble with my boss. You could get yourself in trouble with the media, what were you thinking?" Taehyung asked, his nostrils flaring with anger when Jungkook remained calm. "I don't care what anyone says, I love you, and I wanted you to know that."

"And this is the best you came up with?" He asked incredulously, worried how Jungkook was putting a lot, even the alpha's own career on the line, without much thought. "You wouldn't pick my calls Tae, you don't answer my messages, or emails, I was getting desperate."

"Trust me, everyone could tell." Taehyung mumbled, gripping at his locks, this was all so wrong, so stupid of him to even do. "That's could have gone worse, thank God my boss discovered you soon. Now go home before you cause something much bigger." Taehyung tried once more, hoping a different approach could get Jungkook to go. But he should have known Jungkook better than that.

"I am not going home Tae, not after everything."

"What everything, Kook. We are not together." He said loudly, his voice breaking at the end to signal his oncoming hysteria. But Jungkook wasn't having it. He stepped in front of him, then again, until he had the older backed up against the cold tile wall of the bathroom.

"Look me in the eyes and say that again. Look me in the eyes and say you don't feel it." Taehyung couldn't do it, he couldn't meet the alpha's vulnerable gaze. Other than the fact that he couldn't possibly deny his feelings, Jungkook was right in front him, bodies only mere inches apart.

He looked so different now, dressed in all black, down to his hoodie, that Taehyung had been wearing, only a few nights ago. His long hair was now tied in a man bun, few curly bangs to the each side, with an undercut still showing. His full delicious lips were parted, his questioning eyes, still doe as always. He looked like a cute bunny, but sexy at the same time. He was sophisticated, but a little sultry too. Taehyung loved the looked, and he had certainly had a sight to see while he rode his cock just two nights ago, but now...

"Kook--" he tried, putting his hands on the younger's chest, but Jungkook was certainly not having it. "Tell me the truth Tae, tell me you don't feel the same as me." He was asking a lot, Taehyung felt so, but he couldn't just say No either, his mouth wouldn't let him, hell, his heart wouldn't let him.

Two years ago Jungkook had entered his life once more. He had shown up at the end of his class in campus, and asked if they could talk. Much to Taehyung's surprise. But his then boyfriend, who had also come to pick Taehyung up, the one Taehyung was trying to start a fresh with, had also shown up, and nothing further than lingering looks had happened, and Taehyung had honestly hoped that it would end immediately, because he was now with someone else, and Jungkook just emerging and digging up memories he had tried so had to bury, and move on was not cool.

But as he had predicted, Jungkook didn't relent. He had made his intentions clear of what he wanted to do, which was win him back, something his then boyfriend didn't appreciate. A few fist fights ensued, followed by a schedule full fight to see who would win for Taehyung. But the beta had been so mad, and so angry at both of them for treating him like property he ended up breaking up with his boyfriend, and telling Jungkook to stay away from him.

But Jungkook of course had been on his tail, apologizing to him. He made sure Taehyung understood that he was going to wait, he was going to fight, and that all he needed was chance. Taehyung had held back confused, he wasn't sure it was something he wanted to do, especially with Jungkook's solo career that had recently taken off by storm. There were just a lot of factors to consider, and to put in place. But he warmed up to the alpha nonetheless, and had found himself laughing at his advances, and flattered at his attempts.

Bodily touches had followed, hugs, kisses on the cheek, and forehead, then slowly on the lips. Taehyung still remembers vividly the day Jungkook had kissed him on the lips, in his dorm room in campus, when he was in his finally year. It spark something in him, something that went on, until now, until a few nights ago, when they had had sex, at Jungkook's luxurious apartment, all through the night.

Then he had snuck up in the early morning, took his belongings and left while the younger was a sleep. And while he hadn't felt bad at what they had done. He remained unsure, just like he had been all those years back in highschool. He knew now it rooted from a place of fear, fear of being left, like his mother did, and recently he had been seeing a therapist to get over it, but still, there were some lingering issues, especially when he was reminded of his past, and how Jungkook had just walked out on them.

He stepped around the younger, not able to bare his eyes any longer. He breathed deeply, speaking while his back faced Jungkook who had turned around. "There's is nothing Jungkook, we had sex, and that's it."

"No we didn't."

"Kook." He protested, on the verge of tears. "No, we made love." Jungkook spoke, turning him around so they could face each other. Taehyung looked conflicted, but deep down he knew it was true. "We made love, and you know it." Jungkook muttered once more, cupping his face. Taehyung didn't fight him as he brought their foreheads together, fingers gently caressing his face.

"The way we kiss, Tae, it's not just for the sake," he paused, his lips hovering over the almost crying beta, "it's deep and passionate. The way we touch...it's electric, and satisfying, and when we are together, actually joined together, there is nothing in the world like it, there is nothing that can ever beat the feeling of you and me making love. So don't just say we had sex, we had more than that, you know we did, so stop fighting it."

Taehyung let a few tears fall as Jungkook held him. "I wasn't just carrying that banner out there for show. I love you, Tae, I love you so much, and I need you to acknowledge that." Taehyung already knew, he knew of the younger's feelings for him, and he was aware his own feelings for the alpha. He didn't think he could stand being apart from him longer, despite him denying himself.

When they made love some nights ago, it had opened his eyes as well, and now he couldn't go back to compressing what he wanted anymore. "You left me Kook, you gave up on us." He said, desperate to put his fears out there. "I know..."

"You said you would wait for me, but you didn't." He cried again, Jungkook nodding along, and wiping his tears. "I know baby, and I am sorry. I was young, I was reckless, and wanted everything at the same time. Patience wasn't something I was fond of, and I am sorry, but I assure you, now I am changed, I am grown and I am going to try to be a better person."

Taehyung leaned into his touch, knowing the younger had never meant to hurt him. They were both young, dumb highschool kids. But it was real, it was actual love. So he smiled a bit, asking the alpha the very question Jungkook had been asking him this past year.

"Will you give me a chance?" He said, Jungkook's eyes widening, before his teary doe eyes grew in realization. "Are you asking me for.."

"Yes Kookie, I am asking if you'll give me a chance to be with you." Jungkook brought him into a bone crushing hug, repeatedly muttering yes. When they pulled apart they kissed, this time with surety, and no hidden fears.

"Shit I am gonna get fired after this." Taehyung mumbled on his lips as the kiss got intense.
