Chapter 6

Namjoon saw red as the alpha on the other side of the table stared him down. He balled his fists up ready to flip the table over and beat the shit out of Jaebum.

He understood the other's concept of class, and that's why he dealt with him alone, but that didn't mean, he had the right to insult the Omega like he did. A sense of regret flooded through him immediately for having brought the omega to this, but then again this wasn't the time or place for any of the emotions he felt now. God he didn't even have whores. In fact it made him wonder where Jaebum always got such ideas from, or if  perhaps he just did it to spite him, annoy him, or anything if the sort.

Wearing a smirk, he extended his hand out to Seokjin, the omega timidly and confusedly taking what he was offering.

"Unlike you Jaebum, I don't sleep with my employees, this right here is Kim Seokjin, my chief marketing officer, we simply came for a meeting, one you asked for. Professionalism. Your lacking that of late, you know. Now, I suggest you apologize to him right now, or we are not having this meeting."

Seokjin had his eyes out wide, half worried because the blond before seemed to be boiling in anger.

"Fine. I am sorry Kim Seijik, I didn't mean to call you a whore." He stressed the wrong name intentionally, still trying to anger the other.

"Its Seokjin, if you please, and can we begin already." He huffed already tired Jaebum, he could see what Namjoon had been talking about.

They pulled up their chairs, and for the rest of the afternoon got to work. Right into it Namjoon knew he had chosen correctly, he knew Seokjin was best suited for the job because he was left wowed, astonished, even more proud by the admiring, slightly envious look on Jaebum's face.

"If you accept twenty five percent, you don't only get a discount on the products, you get a guaranteed ready market too, profits at its highest and consumers at their fullest. But that's the farthest we could go, if we raise any higher, your stepping on us. Deal or no deal?" Seokjin conclude his presentation after a while, heaving in a breath before reaching for a glass of water, confusedly looking between the two CEO'S when they just stared at him.

He had never seen Namjoon smile so wide, looking so proud and happy? "Look Jae, that's as far as it goes, we can't off-"

"Deal." The blond muttered eyes never leaving the omega.

Never in his life had Namjoon ever seen the other accept anything so fast, he always had something to say, and as he looked at him, he felt that previous anger rise back to his throat as Jaebum raked his eyes over the seated omega, licking his lips too at the sight of a clueless Seokjin.

"Maybe I chose wrong this time, your clearly of potential, it wouldn't be so bad if I stole you would it?" The blond asked, eyes gleaming intensely, borderline lustful.

"Well if that's all, we'll be on our way. It wasn't a pleasure to see you as always." Namjoon interrupted.

"Glad to see its still mutual." Jaebum replied, not at all bothered as he smugly continued on with his glass of wine.

Walking out of the restaurant, Namjoon was suddenly tackled into a hug as they stepped outside, the omega squealing at what just happened. "Holy crap, he actually accepted, can you believe that?" He muttered as he pulled away only then realizing what he just did.

He immediately flashed red as Namjoon just stood there, scratching the back of his head guilty, internally scolding himself for throwing himself at his boss. "Sorry..." He squeaked, stepping back. "I just.... am really excited." He offered, narrowing his eyes when he noticed the tips of the others ears red "Are you blushing?" He muttered not able to believe his eyes.

Namjoon snapped out it, his ears even more red at the thought.

"I don't know what your talking about." He countered, already striding away, trying to hide from the omega who only chased after him, laughing out giddily.

"Its right there, your blushing, let me see again." He pressed, not missing the chance to taunt the CEO.

"Shut up." The alpha muttered, whining almost at the teasing, speeding up his walk, not ready to admit he was actually shying, but generally happy to see the Omega that fascinated by such a simple thing.

When Seokjin caught up with him by the car, he was still giggling, and Namjoon tried to wear a face of annoyance but couldn't keep it for long.

The sun had just set and the cold of the evening was starting to roam the streets, they could have gone back to the office, or better yet, the both of them could have taken the chance to go home, but Namjoon didn't want any of that, he didn't want to be alone, normally he didn't mind, not that he had a choice anyway, but something about Seokjin and him out at night together sat well with him, it felt right.

"You wanna get dinner?" He asked as the driver brought the car around, somehow holding his breath at the answer he was about to receive. He wanted Seokjin to go get dinner with him, wanted to spend a little more time with him for some odd reason. Looking at the alpha, Seokjin averted his eyes, a smile stretching on his lips.

"Are you asking me out?" He inquired jokingly, that same amusement in his eyes as he watched Namjoon fidget with himself, pocketing and clearing his throat, before switched on his feet too, fixing his tie a second. Giggling again, he caught Namjoon's attention, the alpha only realizing how plainly obvious he was being, a nervous wreck.

"Haha... " the alpha laughed dryly, clearing his throat once more at the knowing look on the Omega's face. He'd been caught, but he wasn't going to allow the other to taunt him. "...don't flatter yourself. Now come on."

"I don't remember saying yes."

"Well its not a request anymore." He said as he opened the car door, the omega on the other side not budging.

"You can't order me." Seokjin pouted.

"Sure I can, am your boss, and I say you get in." Namjoon laughed at the others pout, feeling a little happy that the tables had turned.

"You just sealed a deal with one of the industries' toughest people, I think this calls for a celebration, because you, mister, are amazing." Namjoon stated, Seokjin blushing at that.

"At least let me pick where we get dinner then." He offered as the car excited. "I know this good restaurant in town, it has the best of whatever you want, your not gonna believe your mouth."

"Would that happen to be Mrs Song's restaurant? Coz if not its not the best."

"Well it doesn't matter, coz I get I to pick, and I say we are going to my restaurant." The omega sassed out, daring the alpha to speak. He didn't, and Seokjin went on explain why the restaurant was the best.

Namjoon found himself staring instead. Intrigued by what he was hearing and seeing. Seokjin was truly captivating, his features were so defined, from his beautiful face to his broad shoulders and slim waist, the other usually wore loose slacks, and he had never gotten to really see what laid underneath, but he bet it was just as perfect, and as he sat there, his mind veered off to their conversation about true mates earlier.

He hadn't given it much thought himself, but he knew a part of him wanted it to be true, a part of him wanted them to be chosen for each other by a god, to belong to each other and no one else. But the other part of him reasoned that the Omega would have to want that too for it too work, that he was perhaps maybe taken already, or if he wasn't, he didn't want him like that.

There were just so many things to consider, and he feared hope more than anything, so he let his other side lead, the pessimistic one, just in case he needed it, if he didn't, he'd have nothing to lose.

"Are you even listening to me?" The omega quipped, bringing Namjoon out of his head.

"No your voice was annoying."

"Yah, you can't say that, am older than you too, apologize to me."

"Were here boss." The driver muttered breaking the oncoming argument.

"Let's see if its even worth the hype." Namjoon sighed as he got out, Seokjin resisting the urge to stick out his tongue in annoyance as the alpha opened the door for him.

Its wasn't anything fancy as Namjoon thought it would be, it was just a regular restaurant, Korean themed just like the many around. He followed the omega upstairs.

"See, not only is the food lovely here but the view is good too." There wasn't a lot to look at really, they were only in the second floor and he could only see the shops on the other side of the street, but Namjoon relented anyway. " We'll see."

Seokjin chose the space at the corner next to the wall. They took off their shoes sitting down on their mats opposite of each other with a low table between them. A waiter came by not a minute later, and Seokjin watched as Namjoon ordered almost quarter the menu. "Why are you ordering so many, it's just for you."

"At least I didn't order from the kids section."

"Why are you saying that like its a bad thing. You know what, shut up."

Namjoon chuckled knowing he had successfully pressed the others buttons. He could talk to Seokjin all day, endlessly banter with him about everything and nothing. They hadn't known each other for long time, but they were free, like they had spent a life time together, he felt like he needed to protect that, protect him.

"Hey, am sorry about earlier, about Jaebum, I should've known he'd be a prick like always. He just, he hates me for no particular reason. Am sorry I brought you into that."

Seokjin felt his heart do flips at the others sincerity, if anything he felt like he needed to thank him for protecting him, defending him like he did.

"Don't mind that, I should be thanking you, for standing up for me back there, am no stranger to such things anyway."

Namjoon hated the sound of that, the thought of the omega being harassed that way by people angered him, that they would pick on a little ball of fluff like Seokjin. But at the same time he could tell the omega was over it, there was no need for him to hold onto it.

"Just one question though..." The omega interrupted already giggling "Do you really have whores?" He questioned, breaking out into laughter at the incredulous look on Namjoon's face.

"Yeah, in my basement, I pimp in my free time." He answered back sarcastically, finding amusement in it too.

Their food arrived soon and they had to add another little table beside them to accommodate Namjoon's dishes.
"What? I have a huge appetite." He defended as the Omega not so discreetly judged him.

"Why did you pick this place anyway?"

It was clear to Namjoon it was more than just the food, the Omega knew the waiters, even the cooks who made the food, he was clearly a regular.

"I told you, its the food, isn't it good?"

"It is." Namjoon replied,  unconsciously picking from his many dishes and adding it to the Omega's plate. "...but what else?"

The omega finally sighed looking out of large window, to the shops on the other side of the street. "You see that little shop over there, the yellow one that aligns directly to this one?"

"The one written doughnuts?" The alpha inquired, following the others line of view.

"My brother and I went there twice every week and we ate doughnuts till we couldn't move...." He chuckled at the memory of him and yoongi stuffing their faces "We were even on their walls of regulars."

"That was way back when we were still kids, and we would sit by the window and laugh at the people inside here because we thought doughnuts were definitely better." He looked back at the alpha who was watching him with fondly,

"Doughnuts ARE definitely better." Namjoon quipped, earning a laugh from the omega.

"We hadn't presented back then, we were clueless of the dangers and horrors of the world or the monsters that dwell amongst us, we were simply kids. Then we grew up and we couldn't go anymore, outside was a nightmare for me and my family, being a male omega was dangerous, so this is kinda like a crossover you know, am in this side of the world now, grown up."

Namjoon listened attentively, he thought it was beautiful how he held on to a simple gesture as a representation of his life. He didn't have that, he didn't even remember when he crossed over, he felt like he had been an adult all his life.

"That's beautiful, I never got to experience childhood like that."

"No?"

"No I was in an all boys boarding school since I was nine, I graduated high school at only sixteen, then my dad sent me to a university in the states, I didn't get time to experience childhood like you did, its hard to tell when I even grew up, it sounds enjoyable."

"It was, thank you." Seokjin smiled, then looked around at their almost empty dishes.

"So, what do you think, it the food good?"

"Its alright, Mr song's way better though." He teased, an idea already forming in his head. "How about we go to Mr song's some other time, then we compare, am sure you'll change your mind."

Namjoon didn't know when he would get the chance or if he would get the chance at all to spend time with the omega outside of work, he had the most fun today and he wanted to do it again.

"I guess that's not so bad of an idea, I think I'll take you up on that."
