Hazel's pov-

I had to go to office today.There's a big pile of work to do and a load of appointments.

No more fun Haze.No more fun!

Shit I'll be on the streets if i ignore my work even if i have a richy rich lawyer for a husband.He already thinks I'm a lazy bump.

Wait,till he knows i got the interior designer of the year award last year and i intend to win it this year too.

"Ash,I'm going to my office now.Try not to mess up your office that i so gladly redecorated."

I had spent a lot of time yesterday taking care of his books and furniture. His study was a mess.Everything looked like it was a freaking children's bookhouse.

The study actually looks more coordinated now but the amount of thick fat books made me green.

My husband really was a bookworm.. Well now too.

He owns a law firm for goodness sakes.A large one at that.He's a freaking criminal lawyer.Dangerous.

Who knew my nerdy hubby would go for something so dangerous.

It took me almost five days to sort out his library. He shouted at me almost daily that I'll spoil the order or that I'll get too tired and it's not good for my or the baby's health.Blah blah blah.

When i start doing something that involves my work field i don't listen to anyone.Work is work.My work.No negotiations and no interference.

At the end of the day he was genuinely surprised and happy with the result.

"Wait!I'll drop you."

Ashton came back.He was dressed in formals.Black suit.Tye and all.Ready to work huh.My white collar man.

"I'll just drive.I'm taking my car."

"Your car will be waiting for you when you will come back.In your parking but now I'm going to drop you.You've exhausted yourself this week and i do not want you to fall down and break your neck or harm our child.All you've done is work,work and work since we've come back. I'm super busy for atleast this month Hazel.Please start taking more care of yourself else I'll have to do it on my own and trust me it will be very annoying and strict."

The way he spoke meant pure business.

I wanted to shout at him for treating me like a child.

"I am taking care of myself.It's just that you are acting really controlling and i don't like it at all.I can drive very nicely. I have a perfect driving license so my dear hubby please bare with me."

He sighed.

"I know you are very strict and genuine about your work.I'm not doubting that and I'm not doubting your driving skills.I just want to drop you off for once.Ok.Please."

I gave him a pout.

"Fine.Whatever!"

"Ok..now don't be a brat and let's go.I'll drop you off and then I'll go to my firm."

"I'm not a brat you freak."

"Whatever helps you sleep at night.Now,come on hurry up."

He hushed me outside as i made my way towards his car.

Shit.I forgot to eat my breakfast. I don't even want to say that in front of Ash..he'll lecture me and then lock me up in our home.I'll grab something in office.

"Okay take care of yourself and don't stress yourself ok."

He kissed my forhead and gave my tummy a pat.

"Be good for daddy champ.Don't disturb your mother too much. She is already crazy.Estaré condenado si algo les sucede a ambos."

I glared at him.Again Spanish and i know as always he'll not translate.I swear I'm gonna learn it.Like really fast.

He just chuckled and kissed me on my lips lightly.

"Seriously take care."

A finally smooch and then i was yelling good bye to my husband as he made his way back.

I rushed up to my office. I was glad to see my staff was working properly behind my back.Thank God.

My assistant Annaliese was currently blabbering about some hot girl she saw as i made my way towards her and coughed in a fake way.

She turned towards me and gasped.

"Hie there mam"

I mocked her.

"Oh..umm.Hi Miss Vanderbilt ..i mean Mrs Salazar.Oh i was telling Pat to do his work properly."

She adjusted her hair as i shook my head.

"Yes..and i just grew a different head.Anyways I've never been the boss from hell and i won't be one until you guys behave like a bunch of weirdos. So chop chop..i know I've missed office for quite a few days and now i want my report and to see the work that's pending. We'll complete most of the work today and Ann,send two of the new designers to my office immediately. I need to them to show me their designs."

I instructed my staff as i hopped in towards my office.Geez.Tough load.

Way to go Hazel.

By lunch time i was exhausted.The new designers were quite creative but their skills still lacked tenderness.I had to practically redesign everything and show them how to do it.

My head was aching and all i wanted was to sleep and sleep.

I gulped down a glass of water and sat down on the bed that i have in the spare small bedroom that is connected to my chamber.

I have not eaten anything since morning.

My stomach grumbled.

"Mommy is sorry for starving you too Coco."

A plan struck me.I know Ash is also busy these days.He won't eat too.I should go and surprise him with lunch. I have done my work for today i guess.

"Ann,I'm heading off to my husband's office now.I'm off for the day.I hope i don't have any appointments for today?"

"No mam.No appointment."

"Good.So..I'm leaving and here take this draft of the design for the Royal resort that is being made.I want you to take the copies of this design and pass it to every one.That project is a bumper.I don't want any issues with that one."

"Ok ...mam.And congrats on the husband and the baby."

"Thank you Ann."

I smiled and left my office.

Ashton's office was not much far away from mine.

The law firm looked really busy as i made my way up to the reception.

A lady with big round spects was typing something furiously.

"Hey.I'm Hazel Salazar. Ashton's wife."

"Yes and I'm Trump's girlfriend. I swear all you pregnant woman want to trap famous men but this is getting so old."

She shook her head and glared at me.What the fuck.

I was already exhausted and this was making me feel really dizzy.

"Are you new in the country or even continent? Our marriage was all over the news.I'm so famous..and i married someone equally famous.Even if you are not into tabloid gossip this was all over the country.We both are from royal families woman."

I didn't want to sound boastful or a stuck up bitchy but i don't know why;maybe it's my exhaustion or mood swings made me pissed off really badly.

"I'll just check and send you in."

She called someone..Ash obviously.
I groaned.

"You know what.Forget it.I'm going."

She tried stopping me but i don't know what happened i started seeing spots ..black spots and all i felt was sinking.

Ashton's Pov-

There was a commotion outside my office. Emily looked up at me.

Yes.She was here to discuss her situation with me today.
I met her a few times during this week and her case was really messed up.

I got up from my chair and went outside as Em followed me.

Max was shouting at my receptionist Ria as she apologized.

"What the hell.."

My breathe caught in my throat when i saw an unconscious Hazel on the floor.

"Fuck.That's my wife."

I ran to her and held her in my arms.

"Hazel.Baby?Wake up.Hey.Fuck it.I don't know what happened in here but i don't want here any of it now.I'm taking my wife to the hospital but don't forget I'll come back and i better get the truth."

Ria gulped.

I had no time for nonsense.My pregnant wife my unconscious.

"I want to come too."

Emily followed me.There was no time for explanation but i didn't need her around Hazel.We had history together and I'll burn myself before disclosing it to my already vulnerable wife.

It was all messed up.

"I don't think that's a good idea.You should go.I'll see you later."

She stared at me and Hazel and then left.

I hurried my way to the hospital. Fuck.I should have never let her work.I hope everything is fine.

Cold sweat was running down my head.My grip on the steerinh wheel tightened when i reached the hospital.

My sister Caroline was also waiting for me in the lobby.

She rushed to me immediately.

"Geez.Let's just hurry.She looks bad."

She pushed me inside as the staff took Hazel for examination.

I slumped down on the seat.Carol sat beside me and gave me a side hug.

"She'll be alright Ash.Just don't panic.I know this looks really bad but please don't relate it to things.."

I knew what she was talking about.

"How can i not?Isn't this the same?Mom collapsing.Her miscarriage and then dad walking out on us.We have suffered too much Carol. What if i lose my unborn child and wife today."

Carol just sighed.

"You have to let it go Ash. Things were not good..don't we all know that. I've moved on..mom too."

"Well mom might be the best mother but she sure lacks the backbone. She went back to the person who cheated on her multiple times and walked out on her and her kids while she had just suffered from a miscarriage! And you Carol!I'm not as strong as you are. I'm holding myself together barely since THAT incident."

I felt completely lost.

My sister held my hand and looked at me.

"We don't talk about it Ash.Please don't."

I nodded.Yes..we don't talk about THAT.

"You know dad wants to see you.He is in Newyork right now.Mom too.She is coming here but i told her not to bring dad."

"Well.You did right.I wouldn't want to have any type of interaction with the guy whose is the soul reason for what kind of a broken person I'm. Right now.. I just need my wife to be fine.In one piece.Smiling and teasing me.And my kid to be alright."

The nurse came with a prescription.

"Your wife is fine now.It was low hypertension. She needs complete bedrest for atleast a week.The baby is also healthy and you can see her now. These are the medicines.."

Carol snatched the prescription.

"You go see her while i go get these.Mom might also arrive soon.Did you inform her family?"

"No i didn't. I just messaged you.I didn't want to worry them.God knows all of them will take a run for it.She's their favourite. I'll tell them when we are back home."

Carol gave me a nod and went off as i made my way to my wife's room.

She had an IVF attached to her wrist.She looked alright but it did seem that she had seen better days.

She smiled at me.

"You know you don't have to make me lose my hair before i even turn 30!"

"I wanted to have lunch with you but your stupid receptionist just wanted me to shout at her."

"I'll take care of her but you are not leaving my sight for at least a week.I'll be working from home and you madam?No work until then."

She opened her mouth for protesting.

I didn't give her a chance and pressed my lips to her.

When i pulled back she looked surprised.

"You got me so worried. So damn much."

"I'm sorry."

I shook my head.

"You and our baby are alright that's all i want."

She just snuggled closer to me.

I heard the door open when i saw my mom and sister coming inside.

"Oh thank god you're fine."

Mom came and pulled Hazel from my arms and hugged her.

Hazel just looked at me.

She sure was not expecting this. I mean they've barely interacted before.

But my mother is rather affectionate..what can i say!

"Mom you're hogging her oxygen. Let her breathe properly."

Carol pulled mom from Hazel who just smiled uneasily.

"Oh I'm sorry dear.I hope you feel fine now. Ash,Estaré haciendo rondas en su casa ahora. Estoy en Newyork por un mes y quiero que mi nuera y mi nieto estén bien atendidos."

I groaned.

"Mom..I'll be home for a week.You don't have to worry that much.Carol also stays in our building.She can take a round too."

"Well whatever! I'm her mother in law.I have the right to do it.Take care of her during her pregnancy. If her mother can do it then why can't yours?"

"Uhh..I'll appreciate it.I mean i haven't really interacted with both Carol and Lily..I'll love that."

Hazel looked at me.

My mom grinned in satisfaction.

Carol smiled too.

"Alright Fine!But mom..i know he's here..don't involve him."

Mom didn't say anything.

"Who are you talking about?"

Hazel asked us.

"No one important. Just someone.By the way Mrs Salazar,you didn't eat anything? Since the whole day?Really!!!"

I asked her.This was seriously annoying.

"What!She didn't eat?"

Mom asked bewildered.

"It was just so busy..i forgot and then i wanted to have lunch with you so i came to your firm but your bitchy receptionist accused me of faking my identity! I mean what the hell!Why will i pretend to be your wife.I swear that woman was after your ass and i bet no one but me will be looking at your ass."

Hazel kept on ranting.

Mom looked at her amused.

"I really like her."

Carol smirked at me.

"Alright..you need to eat."

I just ran outside to get food.

Geez.That crazy woman.

Haha..Hazel is pretty crazy!Even in the hospital ..in her condition?She's capable of shouting.. Lol.

We did get to see a glimpse of Ash's past in this chapter. His mom and sister also appeared.. His dad too?
