Part 4

Justin is Jeon Jungkook.
Jeon Jungkook is Justin.
An overwhelming nausea consumes me as I try to process the information inside my rampageous mind.
"Y/n? Y/n ah?" Jin's whisper snaps me out of my daze.
I focus my vision & see Justin staring at me, a quizzical expression painted on his face. His hand is extended towards me & I realize that he's waiting for me to shake it.
Does he remember me? Does he know that we're legally married?
"A-Ah, I'm sorry. I-I was.. uhm.. I mean, my mind was somewhere else. Sorry." I have to force the words out of my mouth while resisting the urge to throw up.
Calm down! You're being too obvious. What if Jin notices that there's something wrong between the two of you? What if he starts asking questions?
"Oh.. kay.. So are you gonna shake my hand or not?" Jungkook's smirk grows wider, seemingly amused by my strange behavior.
"Oh yes! Sorry.. Haha.." I quickly take his hand, shake it once & release it right away like it's a hot ball of fire.
"Nice to meet you. You must be Y/n." If he recognizes me, he doesn't show any hint.
Maybe he's not Jeon Jungkook? Maybe he's just someone who looks like him?
"Yes, I am. I've heard a lot about you from Jin, Justin." I cautiously reply.
"Omg hyung! How can you still use that name after so many years?" Justin playfully shoves Jin's arm & laughs.
"So Justin is not his real name?" I look at Jin, praying that he'll say a different name than the one imprinted in my head.
"No, it's not. It was an inside joke. He used to be a huge fan of Justin Bieber so I started calling him Justin as a joke. Then, he actually used the name 'Justin' when people had a hard time pronouncing his name in the States. His real name is Jeon Jungkook. You can call him Jungkook." Jin chuckles.
My heart drops, the tiny hope in it is crushed to non-existence.
"O-Oh, o-okay. I-It's nice to finally meet you Jungkook. I'll go to the kitchen & see if eommoni needs any help. I'll talk to you again later." I plaster a stiff smile on my lips & hastily walks away.
Fuck fuck fuck. What do I do now?

I observe him from afar. He looks less sinister than I remember. My mind has molded him into a monster, but in real life, he's just a good-looking young man.
Omg, I can't believe that I think that he's good-looking.
Jungkook hasn't tried to approach me even once after we were introduced. It seems like he doesn't really care about my existence at all. I breathe a sigh of relief inwardly & begins to relax a bit.
He must have forgotten about me. Guys like him must've had so many one-night-stands that he wouldn't even remember my face.
I shake off my thought & steal another glance at him, who's laughing at something the other guy is saying.
"Hey." A tap on my shoulder startles me, causing the drink in my hand to spill a little on my dress.
"Jin, you surprised me!" I turn around & meet Jin's eyes.
"Why are you so jumpy today? Anw, what do you think?" He asks as he wraps one arm around my shoulder.
"What do I think about what?" I ask although I already know what Jin was implying.
"About Justin. I mean Jungkook."
"Oh. He's okay, I guess.. This is the first time I see him, so I can't really judge." I shrug. The lie slips out of my tongue easier than I thought.
"Weird.." He giggles.
"What's weird?" I look up at him in confusion.
"Jungkook said the exact same thing. If I didn't know better, I would've thought that you guys had met beforehand & discussed the answer." He laughs.
I know he was joking, but the sliver of truth in his words hits me right in the gut.
"I need to go to the restroom & clean this up. I'll be right back." Trying to hide the guilty expression on my face, I quickly move away from Jin & step towards the restroom inside the mansion.
The house is quiet. All the guests are outside enjoying the sunshine & nice weather. I lock the restroom door behind me & stare at my reflection in the mirror.
How did I get into such a mess? I wish all of this is just a nightmare.
I mindlessly clean the spot on my dress while trying to sort out my chaotic thoughts.
I need to stay calm. Just pretend that I've never met him before. It doesn't look like he remembers me anw.
Heaving a deep sigh, I muster all my courage & unlock the door. I try to push the door open but it won't budge.
Shit. Is the door jammed?
I immediately fish out my phone from my purse & dial Jin's number. However, the door swings open before I press the call button.
Jungkook enters the restroom & stares right into my eyes. An evil smirk decorates his lips.
"Oh. H-Hi. Do you need to use the restroom? I-I'll get out of your way." I stutter nervously.
"Not so fast." He blocks my way & pushes me back inside. Panic rises in me as I hear the subtle click of door locking.
"W-What do you want?" I mutter as I step slowly backwards until my back hits the wall.
He keeps walking closer until his face is only inches away from mine. I can feel his breath on my skin as he presses both his palms on the wall beside my head.
"W-Why are you-"
"Long time no see. Wife." He whispers, sending chills down my spine.

Flashback, Jungkook POV
My eyes flutter open as the sun rays shine on my face. I grunt in annoyance & flip my body towards the other direction to avoid the light.
The space beside me is empty, but it's still warm.
She's left.
Bits & pieces of memories from last night flash inside my head. The beautiful woman with the most stunning smile I've ever seen, with the 'bride-to-be' sash slung around her athletic body.
Fuck, she was so good in bed. What was her name again? Her husband-to-be sure is one lucky bastard.
I try hard to recall her name, but nothing comes back to me. Only her smile fills my mind.
At first, I agreed to dance with her just because I was bored & she was the most gorgeous woman in the club last night. But then, I was mesmerized by her bright personality & got carried away. Soon, I was drunk shitless & she was too. Everything became hazy after that.
I grab my phone from the nightstand & check the time.
"Shit!" I exclaim as I hurriedly jump off the bed.
My flight to LA is leaving in two hours. I take a quick shower, pack up my things & rush to the airport.
Only after I'm settled on my business class seat that I can relax a little.
"Excuse me, Sir. We're departing soon, so would you please kindly turn off your cellphone?" The flight attendant says.
"Sure. No problem." I quickly fish out my phone from the pocket of my trouser, the same one I wore last night because I was too much in a hurry to get a new pair from my suitcase.
Something falls out & rolls down onto the floor as I pull my phone out. It's a huge diamond ring that I've never seen before in my life.
"What the fuck?" I mutter to myself.
Then, I put my hand back inside my pocket & feel that there's something else inside. I take it out & can't believe my eyes. A golden wedding band.
"Shit.." I let out a sharp breath as the plane takes off to the clear blue sky.

Present, Y/n POV
"Long time no see. Wife." He whispers, sending chills down my spine.
He remembers.
"W-What are you talking about? I-I don't understand." My heart feels like it's about to explode from the suspense.
"I didn't recognize you at first, because you look so different from the woman in Vegas. Much more timid & 'reserved', I would say. But you looked very familiar. Then, I saw the ring on your finger. The exact same one that I found in my pocket after that night." He begins to explain, the smug smirk never leaving his lips.
"Y-You must be mistaken." I stutter as I hide my ring finger behind my back.
"Really? So you're going to pretend that nothing has ever happened between us? Hmm.. maybe I should ask Jin hyung-" He takes a step back & crosses his arms in front of his muscular chest.
"No! Don't say anything to Jin. Please." I exclaim in panic.
"Why can't I tell him? He's my best friend. Yet, I'm legally married to his fiancée. Shouldn't we talk this out & solve this 'inconvenience' together as a family?" He says as he raises his brow.
Listening to his threatening tone, I can feel the blood drain from my face.
"L-Let's just get a divorce quickly so that we can go back to our own lives. Jin doesn't need to know."
"Not so easy Lee Y/n. I don't mind being married to you since I'm not in a hurry to marry someone else. You, on the other hand.." He looks me up & down with a disgusted expression on his face.
"What do you want then? I'll do anything so that you'll agree to a quiet divorce." I'm getting more & more anxious by the second.
"Why don't you just break up with him? I can be a good husband too." He lifts his hand & glides his finger on my cheek.
"What?! No! I love him! What the fuck are you talking about?!" I slap his hand away furiously.
"Hahaha! Relax. You're the last person on earth that I want to spend the rest of my life with." He laughs out loud, satisfied that he's succeeded in unnerving me.
"Then what the hell do you want from me?! My wedding is in two weeks!" I yell in frustration.
"Postpone it. Find some excuse, I don't care. You can't get married to Jin until I say so." His tone of voice turns serious, gone is the smirk from his face.
"Why are you doing this to me?!" I can't hold it in anymore & droplets of tears escape my eyes.
"Just do as I say. Or I'll tell everyone about what happened in Vegas. You don't want that, right?" He leans closer & stares right into my eyes.
Then, he exits the bathroom without saying another word.
My knees give out & I slide down onto the floor.
Why is he so mean? I hate him. I hate him so much.

"Hey, what took you so long? I was getting worried." Jin asks as he sees me walking out of the mansion.
"S-Sorry." I try to hide my uneasiness with a faint smile, but it seems like Jin has caught onto it.
"What's wrong? Did you cry? Are you sick?" Worried, Jin presses his palm on my forehead.
"I'm fine. Just feeling a bit dizzy. Don't worry."
"Are you sure? We can go home right now, if you want." He kindly offers.
"Really? If it's ok with you, then-"
"Jin hyung! I've been looking for you! Let's go have a beer with the others." Jungkook appears out of nowhere & hooks his arm around Jin's neck, cutting off my sentence.
Cold sweat instantly forms on my forehead. I wish I could just go home & curl under the safety of my blanket.
"Sorry Kook, but Y/n is not feeling well, so we need to-"
"Aw come on hyung! Just one beer. It's ok right, Y/n ssi?" Jungkook focuses his vision on me & smiles sweetly, but I know that it's all just an act. A facade for his malevolent intention.
"S-Sure. It's alright Jin. Stay. I can go home on my own after saying goodbye to eommoni." I push him slightly towards Jungkook to encourage him, although my heart is reluctant to let him go.
"Thank you so much Y/n ssi. You truly are the best fiancée. See hyung? Even your fiancée says it's fine. Let's go." Jungkook's emphasis on the word 'best' doesn't escape your ears.
"Ok ok. I'll be home soon. Call me if you need anything." Jin yells to me as Jungkook pulls him towards the outdoor bar.
When Jin isn't looking, Jungkook turns around & throws me a mean glance, making me cower in fear.
What exactly does he want from me?
