Chapter 13 - Oops!

Celeste's POV

"Where are you going, wifey?" he asked, amused.

"Anywhere away from you," I stated bitterly.

He chuckled and placed a chaste kiss on my lips, catching me off guard. "Don't you see? As much as you run away from me, you can't do it. Look, you are in my arms in my kitchen right now," Joshua commented arrogantly and winked at me.

"You are..." I couldn't finish my sentence as I heard footsteps coming from the hallway. "Joshua!" I warned him in a low tone and stood up. Fortunately, this time he let me stand up.

"Celly? Joshua? What are you doing here?" Hazel asked, puzzled as she walked into the kitchen.

"Umm... We...," I mumbled in panic and ruffled my hair nervously.

Joshua cleared his throat, standing up, and replied nonchalantly, resting his hand in his pocket. "We were discussing a new contract. I have to go now. See you later."

"See you." Hazel nodded and walked towards the refrigerator.

"See you soon, wifey," Joshua whispered in my ear cockily before leaving the kitchen.

Joshua's POV

I stood up and gave my friend a warm smile as Matteo De Luca walked into my office. We met at Harvard and became friends. He currently lived in Italy, but when he came to New York or when I went to Italy, we always met up.

"You have a pretty secretary, amico," he commented mischievously as soon as he closed the door behind him.

I shook my head, smiling. "When will you change?"

"When hell freezes over," he replied cockily and winked at me playfully. I chuckled in amusements and suggested him to sit down.

"Would you like something to drink?" I asked as we sat down.

"No, thanks. I don't have so much time. I have a meeting. But I won't refuse if you invite me for dinner this evening."

"This could be arranged," I said cockily.

"Great! Then we can..."

Suddenly, my phone rang, interrupting us.

"Sorry, I have to pick up." I gave my friend an apologetic look and picked up the phone. It was my secretary. She informed me that Celeste brought the files I wanted. "Let her in."

After hanging up, I informed Matteo that it was urgent; I had to sign some paperwork.

A few seconds later, Celeste knocked on the door and opened in. She took my breath away as soon as I saw her. She looked so beautiful. Her midi black dress with side split shoved off her curves.

She greeted us politely and walked towards me while I couldn't take my eyes off her for a second. When she approached me and put the files on my desk, opening it, her vanilla scent filled my nostrils, directly affecting my shaft.

Once I signed the paperwork, she took the files and left my office.

Matteo whistled as soon as Celeste closed the door behind her. "She is way better than your secretary. You lucky bastard! You like office fantasies, don't you?" Matteo commented in mischief, interrupting my thoughts.

"Huh?" I gave him a questioning look.

"That hottie chick and you," he replied with a sly smirk on his face, pointing to the door with a head gesture. "Did you fuck her on the desk?" he asked wickedly.

"Don't talk nonsense! There is nothing between us," I stated firmly.

"Hmm... Then I can hit on that hottie. You know I am going to stay in New York for two days. So I wouldn't mind to have sexy company," he commented devilishly and bit his lower lip seductively.

"Stay away from her!" I warned my friend angrily, clenching my fist.

Matteo raised his eyebrow, smiling in mischief. "Why? Didn't you tell me there is nothing between you two?"

I heaved a loud sigh and mumbled, rubbing the back of my neck. "Just stay away from her. She... She is my sister best friend."

"Don't worry. I will please her. She will enjoy it," my friend commented devilishly and ran his tongue over his lover lip.

"Matteo!" I warned him in frustration, clenching my fist while my blood was boiling. "If you don't want me to rearrange your face, stay away from Celeste!" I threatened him while holding me back barely.

"Oh... So her name is Celeste," Matteo said wickedly and whistled. "I can imagine screaming her name out while..."

"If you finish your sentence, you will be dead," I stated between gritted teeth, shaking my finger at him as I stood up abruptly.

"Amico, why are you angry? Don't be over protective towards your pretty employee. Do your friend a favor and give me her number."

"Matteo! Stop this! Go find yourself another woman to bang," I demanded furiously.

"But I want her," Matteo insisted.

"Matteo, forget her. She isn't even your type. You prefer brunettes," I commented in irritation.

"Change is always good." He winked at me playfully.

What got into him? Is he trying to make me kill him?!

"Then find another blonde," I stated firmly.

"Why are you so protective of her? Don't worry, Celeste will enjoy being in my arms... and under me," he commented cockily and winked at me playfully.

"Matteo!" I snapped as I was trembling with rage. "If I hear your dirty fantasy about my wife again, I will rip your balls," I threatened him angrily.

"What? Your wife?" my friend asked in shock.

"Damn it!" I mumbled under my breath, closing my eyes as I realized what I had just blurted out.

"Is she really your wife?" Matteo questioned, dumbfounded.

I heaved a loud sigh, running my hand through my hair and nodded. "Yes, Celeste is my wife."

"Why didn't you tell me anything? You didn't invite me to your wedding too. I always thought that I would be your best man," he said, offended.

"It wasn't a normal wedding. We got married in Vegas abruptly. We were drunk," I explained and sighed, resting my hand into my pocket.

Matteo burst out laughing and commented, giving me a knowing look. "I think your folks don't know about her, more correctly about your wife."

I shook my head and warned my friend firmly. "No and they won't. You won't tell anyone about this situation. I will get rid of this marriage as soon as possible."

"So if it isn't a normal marriage, I can support your soon to be ex-wife in her bad times." He smirked wickedly.

"Matteo!" I exclaimed between gritted teeth, clenching my fist.

"Fine, fine. Don't shoot daggers at me. You look like a dragon blowing fire," Matteo teased me in amusement. "I am just teasing you. I knew there was something going on between you two, but I would never guess you were this serious. Oh my gosh! You are fucking married," Matteo added and burst out laughing.

I gave him a dirty look and warned him, annoyed. "Matteo!"

"I just thought she was your fuck buddy or girlfriend, not your fucking wife," he resumed, smirking.

I heaved a loud sigh, rolling my eyes, and muttered. "I won't drink that much again."

"I couldn't agree more. Who knows what will happen when you get drunk again. Probably, you will knock her up," Matteo commented mischievously and laughed.

"Matteo, don't talk nonsense!" I stated in irritation.

"Or have you already done? I think there was at least a wedding night... Or more. I could feel the sexual tension between you two as soon as she walked in. It was almost visible. I am surprised no one else has felt it before," my annoying friend said in mischief and rubbed his beard, pretending to think.

"I won't discuss such kind of private things with you. And no, it is only you who talks nonsense that Celeste and I feel something towards each other," I told Matteo angrily.

"But you have discussed such kind of private things with me before. So your wife is special for you," he commented, amused and winked at me playfully.

"Don't talk nonsense," I mumbled, running my hand through my hair.

"Maybe you should think about your decision again. Don't lose your hottie wife," he suggested and smirked.

"Matteo! Stop calling my wife hottie!" I warned him in irritation.

"Oh shit! You are green with envy, amico, I didn't know you were the jealous type," Matteo commented, giving me a wicked smirk. "You are whipped, deny as much as you want. It won't change anything. You like your wife, amico," he added confidently and winked at me.

I rolled my eyes. "I think you don't want to go back to Italy in one piece. Huh?" I threatened him, raising my eyebrow before giving him a warning look.

Matteo pursed his lips together, trying to hold his smile. "Fine, fine. I won't talk about Mrs. Sullivan again," he promised, giving me a mischievous grin, raising his hands in air in surrender. I shook my head without saying anything.

After Matteo had left, I called my assistant and told her to inform Celeste that I was waiting for her in my office.

A few minutes later, someone knocked on the door and opened it.

"We changed the last condition. It is ready," Celeste informed me as she approached me.

"Good," I mumbled and took the file after finally managing to take my eyes off my temptress wife.
