"Omg girl !" Susan squealed.

"Shhh!" I hushed her and clamped a hand over her mouth. It was currently 2:00 am and we were the only ones awake in the room. We were discussing my encounter with Nathan.

"Girl," she said, fanning herself dramatically, "I can't believe you're going to be staying with Nathan Johnson Innoson for a break; oh my God!"

I shrugged a shoulder, pretending it didn't bother me. "Our moms are best friends, so it's not a big deal."

She gave me a look. "Have you ever lived with a boy?"

I nodded. "Yeah, your brothers, and technically, I'm not going to be living with just him."

She slapped her forehead. "Olivia first, my brothers are five and two."

"So?"

She tilted her head. "Secondly, his mom will be super busy." Her eyes moved to the ceiling. "Duh! She's the wife of a billionaire and a millionaire, so it'll just be you and him in the house."

I raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to continue.

"And?" I prompted, not telling her that the times my mom and I had visited, there were workers around.

"Alone," she dragged.

When I didn't say anything, she squinted her eyes. "He's Nathaniel Johnson. He's popular on TikTok because of how many women want to ride his down there."

My eyes widened at her words. I didn't know about his apparent TikTok fame.

"Uh-huh," she continued, "Imagine what will happen when you two are living together, alone."

My heartbeat accelerated just at the picture she painted.

She giggled. "Olivia, you're about to lose your virginity."

I gasped at her statement. "I'm not like that, Susan, and you know it. His charm and good looks don't work on me."

She raised an eyebrow at my choice of words.

I sighed. "Omo I'm serious."

"Brace yourself," she said with a wide grin. "This is going to be a very interesting break for both of us because you will tell me everything."

I shook my head. "I'm not like that, Susan."

She kept her grin. "Should we bet?"

I narrowed my eyes at her. "He's the king whore of the school. Why would I let myself be that stupid?"

Her eyes turned dreamy. "I know he is, but we don't know him, Olivia. And trust me, the cover doesn't always hint at what's inside. Who knows, he might be a pretty good guy. A very hot, intelligent, rich, good guy."

We exchanged a look, and then she broke out in laughter.

I glared at her, but she shrugged it off. "All I'm saying is, please keep your guard up. He has an interesting reputation. You need to be careful."

Suddenly, I felt scared.

She yawned and checked the time on the wall clock. "Olivia, we need to sleep before..."

An angry voice interrupted her. "Susan and Olivia, if you two idiots don't shut up and sleep now, I'll send you outside."

"Sorry, senior," we both said.

The senior hissed and went back to sleep. Susan and I giggled quietly as we settled into our beds. I groaned as my bunk made its annoying sound, and Susan chuckled.

"I thought my bunk was changed after I reported to the house prefect about this awful sound it keeps making," I grumbled.

She smiled at me, her cute dimples making me jealous. "Just be careful, okay?"

I nodded. "I will."

The noise in the school was unbearable whenever we were leaving or returning. I couldn't focus on the book I was reading, and Susan's father had already picked her up, so I was alone now. I already missed her.

He had been kind enough to give me money to buy snacks from the school tuck shop, and I was grateful. Looking around my almost empty classroom, I checked the time on the wall. It wasn't even afternoon yet, and the school was already emptying.

Senior Nathan hadn't come to my classroom, and I wondered why we weren't leaving yet. What was keeping him?

My stomach growled, and I decided to put my book away. I grabbed some money from what Susan's dad had given me and hid the rest in my locker. I took a deep breath, locked my locker, and stood up.

I stretched and fixed my shoe buckles before heading out of the class. The sun was scorching even at eleven, and my eyes had to adjust to how bright it was outside of class. I groaned as I stepped outside, immediately beginning my roasting process because I forgot to wear sunscreen.

I finally reached the tuck shop, but the lines were insane. I leaned against a wall, not having the energy to join.

I usually went back to class and waited for the lines to shorten, even though all my favorite snacks would be gone by then. But today, I was too hungry to wait. I sighed and accepted that I would have to go hungry.

As I turned to head back to class, I heard my name being called. I ignored it at first, but the voice sounded familiar. I turned around to see a junior boy approaching me.

"Senior Nathaniel Johnson is calling you," he said.

My heart pounded. I followed the boy to where Nathan was sitting on a white chair near the tuck shop. He smiled when I reached him, and I had to force one back.

"Good morning, Olivia," he greeted, rising to his feet.
