chapter 66: a big day

"you ready to go see sissy?" tyler grinned as he buckled his son's car seat.

"I LOVE SISSY!" oliver yelled excitedly.

he hadn't even met her yet and he still thought she was the coolest thing ever.

josh smiled as he saw his boys and heard their conversation, walking up behind tyler and hugging his waist. "mmm, i love you two so much," he smiled.

tyler blushed and smiled, turning around and hugging his husband tightly. "this is gonna be so fun," he grinned.

josh nodded in agreement, ecstatic to finally bring the newest member of the joseph-dun family home.

she was only a year old. the same age ollie was when tyler and josh adopted him. she loved giving and receiving hugs, sitting in peoples laps, and giving kisses and holding hands.

and she really, really liked telling people she loves them.

her name was elowen.

elowen rose soon-to-be joseph-dun.

but, everyone called her winnie.

"I LOVE WINNIE!" oliver yelled, as he clapped excitedly in the backseat once they pulled up to the orphanage.

"you ready?" josh smiled, holding his son in one arm and his husband's hand in the other.

tyler smiled and nodded, and they headed inside.

winnie sat in a room with the lady who was head of the orphanage, sitting in her lap and playing with her fingers.

she then looked up and saw tyler and josh at the door, grinning widely and toddling over to them with some struggle, babbling on about something, hugging both their legs before plopping down on tyler's feet.

"hi, winnie!" tyler giggled, picking the girl up and hugging her tightly.

winnie grinned and kissed tyler's nose, hugging his neck tightly.

"winnie, this is ollie. he's your brother. ollie, this is winnie, sh-"

"I LOVE YOU WINNIE!" oliver yelled, leaning forward and hugging his sister tightly even though they were both still being held.

"LAH OOO TOO!" winnie giggled, hugging oliver the best she could.

'lah ooo too' was the best winnie could say 'i love you too,' and it was pretty much the extent of her vocabulary.

tyler and josh both just smiled, their hearts melting at their kids interacting.

and so the two signed the last of the papers, and winnie was all theirs.
