tyler and josh were home alone tonight.

josh decided it was date night, and tyler suggested they just stay home and cuddle.

oh yeah, they had returned to their old constant, non-stop cuddling.

slowly but surely, they were getting back to normal.

halfway through their movie, tyler turned his head so he was looking at josh. he simply admired his features for several minutes as he was held by him, eventually his husband turning and looking back at him.

then, tyler crawled more into josh's lap. his legs criss-crossed as he sat on his husband's thighs.

he gently held josh's cheek, caressing his with his thumb.

josh just smiled widely, carefully wrapping his arms around tylers waist, observing his face to see if he felt any sort of discomfort.

but he didn't.

then, something surprising happened.

tyler leaned in.

closer and closer and closer.

both boys shut their eyes, continuing to lean forward until their lips brushed against each other's.

both smiled widely at the return of the old feeling.

they then fully pressed their soft lips against each other's, immediately melting into the kiss.

it wasn't hot. it wasn't heated. it was loving.

loving and gentle.

just how they both liked it.

they then pulled back after a minute, pressing their foreheads together.

"i love you, joshua," tyler said.

"i love you more, tyler. thank you for letting me back in your life," josh responded, hugging his husband tightly.

and that night, it seemed those two just couldn't stop staring at each other.

oh, and kissing.

especially kissing.

they were on their way back to their old life.
