The bell for the end of school rang out. It was like a saving grace from the long boring lectures. Laura was a freshman at katakura high school,she had just turned 15 last month. Laura pushed her way through the large crowd at the front of the main doors. When she finally made it outside she ran toward the street usually she walked with her friend, Madison Hail, but she had to stay after school to get extra help for her classes. Laura sighed wishing she could walk with her friend as she looked up she saw a little boy standing outside the school. The boy was wearing a blue and black shirt with denim jeans. He looked as if he was in grade school. Laura looked around for the boy's mother but had little success. Keeping her eyes on the boy she asked " little boy are you lost, where's your mom?", the boy remanded silent as he stepped out into the street. Suddenly a car rounded the corner fast and not showing any signs of stopping, before Laura knew it she was out in the road to save the boy but the boy had vanished as the car slammed into Laura's body. Laura felt a sudden pain and then nothing, when she finally scraped herself off the ground she noticed the sounds of sirens screaming. "What happened?" Laura thought out loud, she found her answer laying in the street was her.
A women was standing next to the car that had hit her. "Hello, excuse me, I'm talking to you." She shouted, but the women didn't seem to hear her. Laura panicked, how was she there and why can no one see or hear her. She stepped foward and heard the clanging of chains. She looked down at her chest coming out of it was a small chain. She then realized that she was gone, suddenly she felt a large ball of anger heating her cheeks. This is not fair I don't want my life to end here, she thought as an ambulance carried her body away.
