Recap- What did he see there ?...

Rishi opened the door .The sight shocked him to the core.
She was on the floor covered in blanket.He ran towards her and sat on his knees.

'Priya..Priya ' He started calling her.

But there was no response from her side.He went weak, as she was not waking up.
Suddenly , Rishi put his hands on her forehead to check her temperature.Soon he withdrew his hands back as the hotness burned him.

Rishi's pov

OMG !She is suffering from a high fever.
What to do ?....
Definitely the cruel lady will not allow me to take her to the hospital.
I felt really bad seeing her condition.She was shivering .Unknowingly, tears welled up my eyes.
Let me take her to the hospital before the woman wakes up.

'Priya..Priya..' He lightly patted her cheeks.She was unconscious. Without thinking for another second , her carried her in his arms and placed her carefully in the car and drovefast to the hospital.

Her aunt woke up after sometime.She was screaming  her lungs out calling her .But she was nowhere to be seen.Then she started looking for Rishi .He , along with his car had been missing.

'Both are missing .Something smells fishy.
Has she eloped with him? 'The lady started her thinking.

'Amma..where is Rishi ? Today I'll five coffee to him. ' Divya said.

But her mother was lost in another world.

'Amma...'she yelled.

Her mother was startled.

'Huh..what?why are you yelling ?'

'Tell me where is Rishi? ' She questioned her.

'I don't know and that stupid girl is also missing since morning. ' She held her head out of frustration.

Divya was fuming in anger.

Priya was in the hospital bed.Riahi was standing beside her.She had been taken an injection to recover from the fever.

'Doctor.. how's she ?Is she alright ?' He asked in a worried voice.

'Please..don't worry.She is perfectly fine and will gain her consciousness after an hour.

'And btw, are you her husband ?' The doctor enquired.

'That...er...yeah ' He suddenly spoke as he didn't knew what to say other than this.

'Ok...take care of her.Don't make her do the all  works. ' The doctor said politely for which he nodded.

Priya was resting on the bed while Rishi occupied the chair .All this while he was looking her.
After an hour , she opened her eyes.

Priya's pov

I was really tired.Then I slowly opened my eyes to see myself in an unfamiliar place , yet a familiar one.
I was in a bed.
What's in my hand ? Looks like something has injected into me.
I looked around .Soon I recognised a familiar face.Rishi was sitting in the chair.

He was taking a small nap.So I thought not to disturb him.I felt tears forming in my eyes.
And the reason was that, no one took me to the hospital till now.Even when I was tired, they made me work like hell.I've to do all the works myself.

I remembered an incident. When i was 15.......   

I was scared that day .The clouds were so dark making me aware to the fact that it would rain for sure.Each and every second i am passing through made me scared more and more.
The rain started pouring heavily. The lights went off.Darkness spreaded everywhere. Fear engulfed me.

'You girl...light the candle soon ' my aunt yelled from her room.

It was dark everywhere .I took baby steps towards the kitchen and started searching everywhere for the candle.But it was nowhere to be seen.

Soon i heard the peal of thunder.I screamed there and started crying.

After a few minutes, aunt came searching me and saw me crying.

'When did I told you to light the candle ?'Saying that she slapped me hard on my face and dragged me towards my room.

I begged her to stay with her for sometime as i was afraid of thunders. But she ignored my words and pushed me into my room and locked the door from outside. I knocked the door several times form inside.
But all went vain.She didnot pay heeds to any of my words.

I was crying all the while hearing the loud bursts of the thunder. I didnot know when sleep sleep reached me.
I was very tired the next morning.The fearness brought fever in me .
I was still on the floors.

Aunt unlocked the door and came inside .

'Why are you sleeping here stupid ? Go and make the breakfast. ' She held my hair.

'Aunty...I'm very tired.Can i take rest for this day ?' I pleaded.

'Shut up and go to work.'

The day was extra tiring as i was under weather.
I managed to do all the works. The fear towards my aunt made me do all the chores.

Unknowingly  tears welled up my eyes and fell down my cheeks.
I kept looking at him and a smile crept my face.
He opened his eyes.I immediately wiped off my tears.
He came toward me.

Rishi's pov

She was asleep.So I thought of taking a nap.
When i opened my eyes, i saw her looking at me.

Wait ...was she crying?

I went towards her.
Her eyes told me that she had been crying. But why ?

'Are you alright?' I asked her.

She nodded .

'Me...i ...here...' She stammered.
I understood what she was asking.

'You had a high temperature this morning. So i took you to this hospital.'

Her eyes welled up again.

She will cry now.I cannot see her in tears.So , I diverted the topic.

'Doctor said that you'll be discharged after an hour and do not take any work there.' I added.

'But...'
I interrupted her.

' I'll talk to aunty.' I assured her.

I knew that her mind will be thinking of the work of the house......Mad girl.....

Afterall the lady , her so called aunt will be very cruel to her if she do not do the work.But this time I'll not give a chance to make her do the work.

Soon the nurse entered the room yo check her.I moved a little aside .
After checking her , she began to leave the room ...but suddenly stopped in her tracks and turned .

'You've got a sweet husband madam.He is very caring .He was worrying all this while about you.You're very lucky to have him as your husband.' Saying this the nurse went away from the room leaving two of us.

She was looking at me.
I understood the meaning.
I went towards her.

'Iam sorry...I didnot know what to say when the  doctor enquired my relationship with you. Iam really sorry if i have hurted you.'

I apologised  even though i had a strong feeling to have her in my life as my better half, my wife...

'It's ok.' She smiled at me.

What! She smiled at me instead of scolding me.
Does it mean she love me ?
My mind wandered around my thoughts .
I wished to happen this in real.
