(Hiccup's pov)

When my vision cleared, I was greeted by mayhem, death and destruction. The two Viking armies were tearing the city apart and despite Arendelle's soldiers efforts, they were getting hammered, I quickly sheathed one of my Inferno blades and grabbed a stray shield on the ground and pushed through citizens and frightened animals let out of their pens, I could see Dagur still on top of his horse and killing everything in his path, when he turned to me, he grinned evilly at me, his blood soaked face twisted into rage as he urged his horse to charge me. I growled and charged the Berserker chieftain, as his horse drew closer, I ignited my Inferno blade and slashed the horse across the neck, causing the horse to let out an agonizing whine and fall face first into the pavement below us.

Dagur let out a scream as he was hurled into the air and rolled on the hard ground below us, when he stopped rolling over, his body was splayed out on the pavement. I breathed heavily as I approached him, before I could even react, Dagur screamed in fury as the blade of his axe grazed the top of my right eye, leaving a scar, I yelped in pain and surprise, I quickly wiped away the blood as Dagur got back on his feet, he then got into a battle stance and snarled at me. "I'm gonna tear you to pieces traitor!" He then let out a cry and charged, he brought his axe down and I raised my shield up, I then pushed Dagur back.

We circled each other for five seconds before Dagur three three knives toward me, I blocked two of them, but one of them embedded itself in my upper chest, I screamed in pain, but before I knew it, I was on my back and Dagur was on top of me, he twisted the already embedded knife in my chest, I squeezed my eyes shut and screamed in agony. "That pain you're feeling? Thats how it felt when you dropped my cousins head in my lap you weak... pathetic... traitorous... Saxon... SHIT!!!!" Dagur screamed while hurling spit in my face, before he could do anything else, I slapped Inferno on Dagur's leg, he screamed in agony as the intense heat of my sword was searing and burning his skin, I then kicked him off of me and bashed the butt of Inferno across his face; sending blood and spit flying out of his mouth.

Dagur quickly grabbed his axe and lashed out, we then locked weapons and glared deeply at each other through gritted teeth, I then kneed him in the groin and cut him across the stomach, causing him to scream and back off, he clutched his wound and bared his teeth. "You will pay for that." He snarled before charging again, we traded and swatted away attacks left and right, he punched me across the face and swatted Inferno out of my hand before head butting me, I fell to the ground and saw Dagur raise his axe high in the air, I quickly raise my shield, and the axe head penetrates right through the shield and the blade of the axe nearly cuts my eye, I gasp in relief and horror.

"Stupid shield!! LET GO!!!" Dagur screams in frustration while trying to yank his axe out of my shield, I turn to my right and see a spear, I grab it and wait for the opportune moment, when Dagur yanks my shield out of my grasp, I let out a battle cry and drive the spear right in Dagur's stomach, he roars in agony and blood leaks out of the corners of his mouth as he then backhands me and breaks the spear in half while growling in pain, he breaks a piece of the spear over my head, as I fall back on the ground, I retrieve Inferno and quickly get back up while Dagur tries pulling the spear out of his gut. He tries hitting me with the piece of the spear he broke, I swatted away the attack and drive Inferno through his sternum, causing Dagur's eyes to widen, blood shoots out of his mouth and I seethe at him. "Go join your equally psychotic cousin... in hell."

I then remove Inferno from Dagur's body and the Berserker chief falls back and dies within seconds. I pulled the knife out of my chest and roared in agony as I threw the knife away and turned to see both the combined Viking armies and Arendelle's defenders watched the fight and  the Saxons roared in triumph at Dagur's death, they then charged and attacked the now leaderless and disorganized Berserkers. With Dagur now dead, I needed to find Alvin and Savage.

I then saw Agnarr and Iduna helping citizens get back into their houses, and then I saw Alvin on top of his horse with his massive sword in hand, he grinned wickedly and charged towards the king and queen.

No.

I sprinted toward Alvin and found a bow and an arrow on the ground, I quickly picked it up, nocked the arrow, took aim, and let the arrow fly. The arrow struck the horse in the neck, causing the steed to let out a violent cry and collapse on the ground, sending Alvin to go flying in the air. I discarded the bow and ran to finish Alvin off, but a Savage bulldozed into me and I knocked my head hard against the stone ground beneath us. My head was throbbing violently, my ears were ringing and my vision was fuzzy.

"Well well well. If it isn't Stoick's little embarrassment, I hope you realize that you can't stop us. Arendelle is ours for the taking. And once its in our control? We're one step closer to claiming all of this land for the Viking race."

I ignored Savage and crawled towards Alvin, who was now back on his feet and shouted to Agnarr, the King of Arendelle locked blades with the Outcast chieftain, before I could continue, Savage kicked me in the ribs, I doubled over in pain as I continued to crawl with all my might.

"What? Stoick and Berk didn't love you is that it? You took the cowards way out and ran? You are definitely not Viking material and you never will be again!!"

Again, Savage kicked me in the ribs and I coughed and wheezed in pain, I then heard a cry of pain, Alvin had grabbed Agnarr by the throat and then drove his sword straight through the man I loved as a father. Iduna screamed in horror and sorrow, I couldn't hear myself scream though, not even a month here and Agnarr was more of a father to me then Stoick the Vast ever was.

"Oooh. Looks like Alvin just has Arendelle's queen left to kill. Once she's dead? We'll use the heirs as slaves... hmmm... maybe even whores."

At the mentioning of Elsa and Anna, I let out a roar and drew my other Inferno blade out and sliced Savages legs off, causing the man to roar in agony, I then slashed his throat opened and raced towards Alvin, I had to stop her from killing Iduna. But I was a second too late. Alvin's sword found its way into Iduna's stomach, I rushed to Iduna and cradled her head, she grasped my hands and looked at me with pleading eyes.

"Y-You have to... l-look af-fter... El-lsa and... A-Anna." She gasped out while coughing up blood, I nodded furiously at her as tears slid down my cheeks. "I will Iduna. I will. You have my word." I promised the dying queen, she smiled weakly at me and caressed my cheek. "T-Thank you... m-my... s-so-son." She then fell back, dead. I then turned to Alvin who had his back to me, in blind rage, I drove Inferno straight through his heart, he gasped in pain and I then drove Inferno up; slicing his upper body up to his collar bone, the Outcast chieftain fell back and blood was gushing out of his body, I then turned to Arendelle's soldiers lords and nobles.

"NO MERCY!! KILL THEM ALL!!!"

They roared in agreement and killed every last one of them, as they were killing the stragglers, I gathered Iduna and placed her besides Agnarr, I turned around to see Irwin, Godfrey and Edgar behind me, all three of them were caked in Viking blood and their faces twisted with sorrow and grief.

"No." Irwin breathed in disbelief, Godfrey covered his mouth in horror and Edgar's lips were trembling, he knelt beside me and shook his head. "They were good rulers. Irreplaceable." Edgar turned to me and gave me a sad look. "With their deaths? Princess Elsa will have to be crowned Queen of Arendelle." He said with worry, and I could understand why he was concerned, Elsa told me that she was isolated due to her powers out of control, and all those years of isolation? Thinking that her powers make her a monster and that people will turn on her because she had them? She'd be an unstable ruler.

But that was before she met me. I was going to help Elsa become a great queen, and I wouldn't let fear cripple her.

"I understand Edgar, but I'll help her. Elsa doesn't have to lead alone." I said to him, before Edgar could respond, I saw his eyes widened, I turned around to see Toothless, Elsa and Anna approach us, when the sisters laid eyes on their dead parents, their eyes widened and tears quickly formed in their eyes.

"MOTHER!! FATHER!!!"

Both Elsa and Anna knelt beside me and cried over their parents corpses, I sighed sadly and nodded my three friends, they nodded back at me and left me to comfort the sisters. "Elsa. Anna. I'm so sorry." I said, Toothless too crooned in condolences, I wrapped both my arms around the sisters and they nuzzled into my neck while still crying, I looked up into the sky and let my own tears slide down my cheeks.

"God help us." I murmured to myself as I continued to cradle the sisters.

(Days later)

The funeral of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna was bitter. Everyone from Arendelle was gathered, Bishop Joshua gave the sermon and everyone was dressed in black to share in the grief and loss that Elsa and Anna had received, both sisters already said their farewells to their dead parents and it pained me to see them both so... saddened, broken, and devastated.

"King Agnarr and Queen Iduna weren't just the rulers of our kingdom. They were people who helped us all when we reached out to them. They were Christian and we all know that they are in a far better place now. How I envy them, they're at home with Christ."

The people hummed in agreement, Joshua turned to me and smiled sadly, I nodded at him and pulled myself away from Elsa and Anna's embrace for a moment to pay my final respects to Agnarr and Iduna, I sighed heavily and nodded. "Agnarr and Iduna... they... they were more than just hosts and superiors. They were the parents I never had." I placed a hand on Agnarr's coffin. "My Viking father... he thought me weak, a failure and a waste of human life. But Agnarr? He gave me a chance to prove myself to God, to him and the people of Arendelle. And... and I loved him like a father." I said, turning to Iduna's coffin, I laughed bitterly and spoke. "I... can hardly remember my biological mother, but Iduna reminded me of my own mother. She was kind, willing to give me a chance, and loved me like I was her own son."

I turned to Elsa and Anna, both of them wiping away tears and looking at me with sad smiles, I nodded at them before finishing. "I owe both Agnarr and Iduna so much. They gave me a home here, a chance to be accepted here, and I only wished that I could've have thanked one last time." I said, I then placed a white flower on each of Agnarr and Iduna's graves before returning to Elsa and Anna's side, they hugged me from both sides and I held them close, Joshua then concluded his sermon and then nodded to the soldiers to lower the deceased king and queen into their graves.

As the citizens left the burial site, they offered their condolences to Elsa and Anna one last time before leaving me, Toothless, Elsa and Anna. I then took them home and let them mourn a little longer, they kissed my cheeks in thanks and excused themselves for the evening, I sighed heavily as me and Toothless entered our room.

::A sad day when you must bid a final farewell to ones you have lost::

Toothless purred, I hummed in agreement and turned to my dragon. "They need us bud, more than ever. Those of royal standing my find a way to usurp Elsa and Anna of their birthrights and their kingdom. I won't let their parents death become their downfall." I said firmly, Toothless laid down at the foot of my bed and growled softly.

::I will not either my friend. We shall defend Elsa and Anna with our lives if need be and we shall defend our new home together::

I nodded in thanks to Toothless, I removed my clothes until I was just in leather pants, I placed wood in the fireplace, had Toothless light it and once our room held off the bitter cold creeping in, I crawled into bed and sighed heavily, I promised Iduna I'd look after Elsa and Anna, and I'll be damned if I brake that promise.
