Chapter 28 (Edited)

The following week had been pure torture for me and the whole pack. Everyone was on edge because I had made sure that there were more training practices, and no one was allowed to go out by themselves.
There was a curfew of 9pm on all pack members, excluding those that were patrolling the borders to make sure that no one came in nor anyone left. Sometimes, pack members did try to leave, but they stopped after I had cussed and punched someone in the face. Thankfully, it was Thomas, so I wasn't feeling that guilty.
After that, everyone listened to the lockdown and the curfew, staying indoors and out of harm's way. This did cause some fights to break out, but they were broken up quickly and made to do more hours of training.
A startled scream broke me from my thoughts, causing me to groan out in annoyance but head in that direction. This better be good, I thought, picking up my pace when I felt Cyra start to pae around my head.
'It's time,' Cyra said, causing me to tense and start to run faster than I had been.
'Get everyone ready. They're here,' I said through the link to Jack, causing him to growl softly. 'Tell everyone.'
'On it,' Jack said. 'We'll see you there.' He paused and sighed. 'Is it time?' he asked.
'Yes, it's time for me and the White Wolves to come out from hiding,' I said, jumping into a tree to grab my staff. I jumped through the trees, knowing that I wanted to keep the element of surprise on my side.
Jack sighed, and I could tell that he didn't like this one bit. 'Good luck,' he said.
'You too,' I replied. I closed the link between me and my pack, knowing full well that I needed to keep my head to myself. My whole body was shaking from adrenaline, causing me to run faster.
I made it to the place where I had heard the scream and saw six Rogues surrounding two girls that were a part of the pack. By the way that Cyra was acting, I knew that they weren't being controlled, and so when they started to attack the females, I quickly sent a gust of wind at them, knocking them into some trees.
I jumped beside the females, pointing my staff at the six and keeping an eye on them. "Run," I said to the females, causing them to bolt away from me.
The Rogues growled out a warning, causing me to growl before they started to circle around me. Foam and saliva dripped from their jaws, causing me to wrinkle in disgust. They didn't attack, and I knew that they were waiting for orders from someone who was close by.
"I'm done playing games," I said, feeling the person shift to another side. "Get away from that tree before I blow it to the ground."
Clapping sounded through the air as the person stepped from behind the tree. His brown eyes held distaste and a glit that I couldn't put my finger on. He sneered, showing white teeth with yellow over the edges. "White Wolf," he said, bowing mockingly. "It's a pleasure to see you again. Tell me? How is the parent killer?"
"I don't know, you tell me," I replied, sarcastically. "How does it feel to make a child to come out as a murderer?"
The male scowled before smirking. "I see that you still have your spirit," he said in disgust. "No matter. I can break that."
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Ya, good luck with that," I replied, sarcastically. I kept one eye on him while I made sure that I had the other Rogues in my sights. "Why don't you take your Wolves away and leave this pack? There is nothing here for you."
"You are here all alone," he said. "I think I will take you."
"Ya, good luck with that," I said. I felt that everyone was in position and smirked. "But, I think that you should just leave. You are way in over your head."
The male blinked at my sudden mood change before masking what he was seeping. "Oh? I know everyone that is going to happen. You are going to be knocked out and taken with us while my group kill this pack and the pack you had been in. After that, you will be beaten until submission, and I will rule the world."
"Oh, but you do not know what is going to happen," I replied with a sneer. "There are a lot of ways you can get a person to talk and a lot of ways to have control over someone. Most people say money is power, don't ya agree?" I took a step forward, causing him take a step back. "You are going to die with your "pack" and the Warlocks and Witches under your control. Oh, and another thing that is going to happen-" I smirked. "-is for people to know that White Wolves do in fact exist and live to serve the good." And with that, I dropped the staff and shifted into my Wolf form before howling to let everyone know that they could attack.

Chaos. Pure and utter chaos erupted around me as Witches, Warlocks, and Werewolves attacked the six around me and those that were behind the male. Screams and growls filled the air while the ground turned red with blood.
I tried to help out as many people as I could, trying to make sure that no one that was innocent died tonight. That included those that were controlled, which was I had the Warlocks and Witches helping us.
'He's getting away,' Jack said from fighting someone that was below his level. 'You need to kill him.'
I killed the Wolf in front of me, their blood staining my fur red. Guilt settled in my heart but I had to harden it. This was life and death, and I knew that I had to live for not only me but for the Wolves that I had sworn to protect. I turned my head to the left to see a russet colored wolf leaving the fray. 'On it,' I said, using my power over the air to create me a path. I started to run after him, loving the feeling of playing cat and mouse with this wolf who had given me so much grief.
After a while of chasing him, the male stopped and turned to look at me. He shifted into human form and smirked when I scoffed. "Your plan has failed," he said. "I am going to take you now."
I jumped out of his way when he lunged for me. I felt someone in a tree to my left and knew that he was trying to herd me in that direction. I kept my gaze on him, not letting the male know that I knew what was going to happen. And, when the gun was fired off, I waited til the last possible second and ducked, letting the male get hit with the bullet.
Shock filled his eyes while he looked down to see the bullet hole that entered his heart. He looked up at me, opened his mouth, before falling to the ground dead.
I shifted into human form and looked at the dead guy at my feet. "No, you aren't," I said before turning away from him and running back to the fight at hand. I shifted back into Wolf form, ready to save more people from these monsters.
A scream sounded through the trees causing me to smirk, and I knew others will save me from the hands of these monsters as well.

The sun was setting by the time that we were done with this battle, and my side won with no deaths and few critical injuries. The whole place was silent as we mourned for the loss of our brothers whom had chosen the losing side and succumbed to their wolf.
I helped with what I could, dressed in a cloak that showed my position as the White Wolf. Unlike most of my pack and group, I would be leaving that night to go back to my pack after everything was in order. I couldn't stay here anymore, not with the fact that Thomas still seemed as if he didn't want me.
My heart ached as I hugged my adopted parents, hating that I wouldn't be seeing them for a while. "I'm gonna miss you," I whispered, squeezing them.
Uncle Ryker cleared his throat and squeezed me as well. "We'll come visit," he promised. "I think Fel would want to know her sister." He gave me a watery smile and kissed my forehead. "No tattoos," he teased, causing me to scoff and roll my eyes.
"No promises," I replied. I looked at Robbie who had Cel in his arms. "I hope you two will come visit if the Alpha allows you to. I want to make sure that Cel is still in one piece."
Cel scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Why don't you stay for the party?" she asked, talking about the celebration that we usually had after each battle to thank the Moon Goddess for helping us win. "I mean, we just got done with a battle. Don't you need a break?"
I shook my head, not telling her that all I wanted to do was go back to my own bed and cry myself to sleep. "I can't," I said. "I need to contact the Council and the King to tell him that I have come out of hiding. I, also, need to make sure that some of the Rogues we have captured settle into the pack."
"Well, get some sleep," Cel said before pulling me into a hug. "I'm gonna miss you."
I hugged her as well, my heart breaking at the thought of losing a friend to a different pack. "I'm gonna miss you too," I muttered. I pulled away and held my hand out for Robbie. "Robbie," I said. I smiled. "Take good care of her."
Robbie surprised me and pulled me into a hug. "I'm gonna miss you, and I will," he whispered. He pulled back when he heard a growl and both of us looked at Thomas. "He loves you," he muttered under his breath just so I could hear.
I shook my head, not wanting to deal with him. I was tired of being put second by him, and I couldn't help but hate it. I knew what I had to do to save my heart, and I knew that Cyra hated it but agreed.
Thomas walked over to me, running his hand through his hair. "Look... Sam-" he started, not finishing when he saw me shake my head.
"I, Sam Carter, reject you, Thomas Price, as my mate and Alpha." And with that, I walked away from him, leaving my broken heart at his feet.

P.S. I forgot I had the last name as Carter and not Prescott. That has been changed. If there are grammar and other issues with the book (except the Thomas's Wolf's name because I'm gonna change that) then it will be changed if need be before I have my book published. xD I'm gonna hopefully try to get books published Idk when. And, I changed Thomas's last name
