[11] ORAORAORA!!!
"Ugh...you're the little human from last time..." the small giant sneered.
"Yeah. And it's time to fulfill my promise from last time." I said, cracking my knuckles.
"What promise?" he raised a curious brow.
"That I'm going to woop your ass."
Dead silence. A moment later the small giant let out an exploding laughter.
"You? Woop my ass? Do you have any idea who I am?"
"A side note villain that gets rekt by the main protagonist in an anime?"
"Shut up! I don't know what you are talking about, and I don't like it."
"Well, at least you have the brain to sense the insult." I shrugged carelessly.
"Fine! I will tell you who I am! I am Balthazar Bear! Eldest son of House Bear! U level threat and currently ranked top 300 in the academy!"
U-level threat huh? That's about the same as Isa inside an MS suit...
Though his title and name were meaningless to me, his threat level and rank had to be taken seriously. But I knew that if I let myself show any fear, it would all be over. As a famous tactician once said: 'A battle is won before it is fought.' And my attitude would be the whole determining factor to the outcome of this fight.
So with stuffed confidence, I stood straight and replied:
"So if I beat you now in a 1v1, does that mean I get to be rank 300?"
"No." his voice deepened, "It's impossible for you to defeat me in the first place."
"Yeah, that's what the stereotypical villains all say before they get their asses single handily served by the main protagonist."
"You amuse me underling." He let out a bellowing chuckle before continuing, "before I beat you to the point your own mother wouldn't recognize you, let me tell you a good news...For me, of course." He let out a dark chuckle.
I stood still there and waited for him to continue.
"Lady Amare offered to take a bath to whomever defeats the human boy with metal limbs." He said with drool flooding from his mouth.
"Does that mean I get to take a bath with her if I defeat myself?" I jested.
Silence.
And after what felt like an eternity of stare down and humorless eye contact, Balthazar finally releases a roar as he pounded his chest rapidly in fury.
"Armis petram!" he roared.
Rocks from all angles began to fly towards him, like a bunch of small magnets being attracted to super magnet.
I watched with cold anticipation, as he added further height to his already gargantuan size. By the time his transformation was complete, he was standing at a towering height of 10ft, while being completely wrapped around in his new armor of stone.
"Don't...run..." Balthazar said, his voice deeper and more distant than before.
"Only dumbasses would listen." I sneered. Then without hesitation, I quickly closed the gap between me and him using the booster pad and charged my punch.
"BURST IMPACT!" I yelled, as the forearm part of my uniform was ripped open by the expanded mini thrusters inside arm. Blue flames spew out from my thruster, with whole entire right arm igniting up in blue flames.
The moment my fist connected with the golem dude, shards and bits of rock flew in all directions, as he stumbled back a few steps from the impact.
"Cursed underlings and their filthy tricks..." the golem dude spat out a few rocks, as I watched in stunned belief at the dent I made in his armor just moments ago, was now self-repairing, with several small stones around hovering towards the hole and filling in its place.
There is no way I could defeat him, if he just repaired himself every time I struck...
I need to find way to one shot him...
"Scared underling? If you stand still I will make it painless for you."
"Sorry, I am not some dumbass like you." I said, as I turned on my heels and ran in the opposite direction as if it was Stardelight's happy hour time (50% discount off all drinks).
"COWARD!" came a thunderous roar from behind, accompanied with a string of footsteps that made the very earth beneath me tremble a bit.
I was juking over fallen trees, over and under, and just slashing my way through any blocking branch and bushes. Still, the murderous scream followed, and just as I wasn't too careful looking ahead, I tripped and rolled down a steep snow hill. Good thing the hill wasn't long, so I simply found my face buried at the bottom of the hill in ice. Shakily I got up, and took a quick scan of my surroundings. Apparently I was standing at the edge of a massive frozen lake. I hadn't suffered any major injury from my fall, only minor bruises to my face. I then proceeded to running further into the center of the lake without much thought...Well apart from trying to put as much distance between me and the golem dude as I possibly could.
"Face me you coward!" came the golem dude's voice from the top of the hill.
I paid him no heed as I continued running across the lake. As I did so, I spared a glance behind and caught of him rolling off the cliff and landing on the ice face first, sending visible lines of cracks into the ice around him.
Ice...
The gears in my head began to turn, as dead sparks of imagination burst alight once again.
As long he keeps chasing me to the center...
It was about a minute or so later that I finally arrived and stopped at the center of the lake. And there with a relaxed posture and a gigiddy expression, I waited for the golem dude to catch up.
"You-" the golem dude bent forward as he tried to catch his breath "you cur-"
"Save you breath for now. You'll need it real soon."
"How dare you underling..."
Ignoring his taunts, I took off my shoes and socks and threw them aside. My feet were metal anyway, and the shoes were really just for cover.
"Rin, skater mode." I commanded.
I felt a heat beneath my feet as I slowly hovered several millimeters off the ground. The golem's dude expression was unreadable with his face hiding behind his stone mask, as all he did was stood by and watch. Wasting no time, I began to skate in a large circle around him, and after the 7th or 8th lap, the golem dude called out me:
"When are you going to quit running around me like a fly?"
"Almost, just wait."
And he actually waited, perplexed.
After doing like 20 laps around him in total, I stopped and turned to him.
"Done."
"Is that all your tricks underling?"
"Maybe."
"Hmph." He grunted. "Whatever. What are your last words underling?"
"You're expecting me to say, 'that's my line' but I am not going to say that."
He stared at me with a stone cold face (Ok, that was really bad pun I know).
"What I am going to say is that, the only bath you are going to be taking is with the fishes!" on that remark, I charged at him once again, but instead of throwing a punch out like the previous time. I ducked and slid right under wide open knees in a wild limbo, and got right behind him.
When fighting a larger opponent, always go for their blind spot.
Just like the lessons taught by Isa, I managed to slid behind him. The golem dude swung around in panic and attempted to swat me away with one arm.
Larger the body, the greater the movement, and greater movements take more time to travel...
The trajectory of his move was so predictable, it took less effort for me to dodge it then for me to yawn.
Go for the joints...
Joints are always vital areas in hand to hand combat, as they control the movement of the 'weapons', the limbs of the body. In one swift motion again, I got behind him, and sent several quick jabs of punches to the back of his knee. This made him howl in rage, and he raised one arm up high in an attempt to crush me like a bug. Sadly for him, this exactly worked in my favor, as I sprung up and strike him upwards in the armpit with a knife hand strike. A grin spread across my face, as he fell back onto the ice and cried out in pain. With no mercy, not that he deserves any for what he said to me and that other poor guy. I stepped up to him, with both fists engulfed in blue flames, eyes glowing in wrath and my battle cry the summary of feeling at that moment:
"ORAORAORA!!!"
It was as if I grew multiple arms at the same time, and released a 'rain of fist' towards the ground outlining his body. Yes you heard me right, every single one of my punch missed his body on purpose and were all aimed at the ground around him. His eyes were leaping out of its sockets in fear, as there was nothing he could do, but lay stunned and watch. And to add the seal to the deal, I leaped several meters into the air in one great upwards jump. And came down upon with an axe kick while screaming like my pants were on fire. The moment my kick connected with his stomach, fissures in the ice shot up in all directions, followed by this huge satisfying crunching sound. Taking caution I jumped back to one side, and waited for his next move. Then slowly with great strain effort he finally lifted up his head, only to showcase a mirage of blood and frustration. Then like a giant wounded beast, he got up shakily only to find the cracks around him growing. His eyes were wide and red shot like a frenzied bull, as he made one last bloodied attempt to charge at me. But before he could even get half way to me, the ice beneath him gave away after his first step plunging him into to the icy depths below.
He sure sank rock bottom for that one....
"Kard!" I familiar voice called out from behind, as I turned and see Veritas gliding then landing beside me the next.
"You took care of your opponent?"
"Indubitably." She said with closed eyes as her lips break into a bright smile. "It took me some time because she was in the trees. But I came to see your aid as fast as I could, and it appears that you needed none." She looked to the broken ice sheets behind me.
"Yeah, but I was wondering, will he get freeze to death? I think I may have over done it..."
"No need to worry. The rescue craft will be here soon. See, it's already here!" she said, pointing to helicopter vehicle coming fast towards our distance.
"I guess you're right." I said, as I turned back to Veritas.
"Let us quickly make haste away from here. The other students might arrive any time."
"Alright. I will just follow you then."
Just like that, we moved on.
Q: Do you watch JOJO?
