The feeling of the hot spring soaking her body make her feel relaxed as Kana let out a content sigh.

It has been two months and the training has been hellish as it becoming worst on each level.

Kana can feel herself becoming muscly and her hair has been getting longer and she has always put it up in a ponytail. Her clothes also getting tight and shorter from her growth and she wasn't the only one who noticed it.

Mereleona brought a few new clothes for the girl to wear and even offered to give her hair a fix which she accepted.

The time spends between them made the duo grow closer and become more understanding of each other. Even though Mereleona's tempers and loudness paired with Kana's stubbornness and sarcastic behaviours wasn't an ideal idea but they both did come to terms with opposite attract and learned to accept each other.

"Oi, brat!"

"Hm?"

The sounds of splash indicate that Mereleona has joined her in the bath as the girl has been closing her eyes, hoping to catch some nap.

"Kanazawa village—" Mereleona starts carefully, noticing that the girl becomes tense.

"What about it?" Kana finally open her eyes, green and meeting blue. She wasn't fond of the topic but knew that it will eventually come up.

"I know you have heard this a lot, but— I'm sorry for your lost."

Kana can feel her sincerest but it still aches her at the thought of it.

"Any lead about the attack?"

"There's nothing from the library. I have been looking around the records from a few different attacks that happened around those years but found nothing."

"By the way— what's that thing you have with you?" This time, the lioness turns serious making the girl feel a bit intimidate but she only blinks and looks over at Muku who happily swims using its tail.

"Muku is a dragon, right?" Kana asks, confused.

Mereleona sighs. "I can see that you, brat! I meant that thing inside of you!"

"What are you talking about?!" Kana frown deeper, truly not knowing where their conversation suddenly takes a turn.

"You—You truly didn't know, aren't you?"

"This talk would have been much earlier if I did."

The oldest Vermillion observes the girl and states, "Have you ever fallen unconscious and wake up with no memory of what happened between them—"

The memory of the attack when she was protecting Main and Muku flashes into her mind and the shadowy creature.

"Only once or twice— but it was nothing—" Before she can even finish her word, Kana found herself hanging in the air with her throat grasped tightly by the older lioness.

"Bring it out or I snap those necks of yours." Mereleona coldly warns.

Kana try to claw her way out but the lack of oxygen and the vermillion move so quickly that it catches her off guard. "I—I—" Just as she felt herself slowly losing her consciousness, a wave of dark aura push Mereleona away as she can sense the bloodlust gushing out of the girl.

A smirk appears on the woman's lip but sweats at the tremendous amount of mana surrounding the child. "As I expected—"

The person standing in front of her was no longer the same girl that was gasping for her life, she was now covered with dark marks and her teeth grew into fangs only on the right side. Her ruby eye has become redder and white now cover in black.

"Hm~" Kana's voice was no longer hers as the one humming out was deeper and near a man's voice. "I was rather curious about your intention. I sense no bloodlust out of you yet you have no reason whatsoever to fight this child."

Mereleona took a defensive stand and only then did the possessed girl notice both of the female states and sighs. A dark cloak that looks like it was made of flames appears, covering both of them.

"Heh~ Never thought your kind to be shy over some naked body."

Ignoring the woman's taunt, it asks. "What is it that you want, human?"

"This child—" Mereleona motions over Kana. "Why her?"

"I assume you already knew what I am?" Possessed Kana spoke, eyes only watching in dullness.

"I have heard of you— Only rumours, but to finally meet one, I can finally believe your kind existence." Mereleona turns serious, her mana vibrating around her. "Demons."

"Hm~" It hums, cloak swaying mindlessly. "People are bound to find out eventually given she wasn't always surrounded by idiots. I assume that human, the one falling into his slumber, also noticed my existence."

"What made you say that?"

"This child is very special to me." It ignored her question, turning away as if staring into its past. "Some memory was better hidden. It is better this way. She's happy this way. Make her stronger, human." Red eyes glint as they meet Mereleona. "She has great potential, I assure you."

"What do you mean—"

"There is greater evil out there and she needs to be ready when they arrive."

"Wait!"

Kana suddenly fall with the dark flame slowly disperse but luckily Mereleona was quick on her feet as she managed to catch her before falling hard.

"This kid—" She heard a sound of a splash and her eyes fell on Muku who emerged, blowing bubbles. "You knew all this long didn't you?"

"Ku~~"

Kana sat by Greenland covered with white anemones and red spider lilies. She wasn't a stranger to this place and after a few visits, she has grown accustomed to it. "Did you kill her?"

The dark silhouette stood behind her. "No. She sees potential in you and she is not evil, just mad."

"I see." Kana chuckles, in her hands she fidgets her fingers around the crown flower made of anemone. "Will I find out eventually? Who I am?"

"Hm~ Maybe you will." The silhouette hums, its lower body starting to disappear. "But like I said, child—"

"Some memory was better hidden. The one that will be hurting is you."

A/N: Shortest chapter I ever wrote but here it is. Apologize for the delay, finals coming up in two weeks and it has been hellish for me.

A few comments did guess who Kana was but let me just say that this isn't the final introduction of who actually are. What do you guys think? Any thoughts?
