A/N: I know I haven't updated for so long but I was busy with works and this week has been the most tired one I have ever experience. With my country going back into lockdown, people have been coming to the store where I work as a technician and it was hectic.

It was so tiring but I was hoping this week I will at least able to update another chapter so I may update another one tomorrow or the day after.

Also, I apologize if this is a crappy chapter, there was supposed to be another part before this huge time skip but I decided to change it and add it in the future.

-A Few Months Later-

Heavy breathing escaping her mouth as she pants out loud with her lays flat bedded by grass.

On the opposite side stood Leopold, smirking with balls of fire floating around him.

As days pass by, the relationship between the two has become closer as they have spent more time together.

After a month of being suspended, Kana was allowed to join some mission after permitted by Dr. Owen, who keep in a tab on her condition.

Most of the missions mostly pairing both of them, which increase their teamwork performance that surprised Fuegoleon himself as they have become a dynamic duo from the times they spent together training and going on missions.

The red-haired girl still didn't trust the nobles-born, but she has grown a bit closer with few other members in the squad, which also cause by the time she spends doing missions with others whenever Leopold was unavailable.

For a mere commoner in her seniors' eyes, she was rather a fast learner and have grown much mature than they expected. In her early days of joining the Crimson Lion, she will sneer or even glares at them, but she has been rather keeping it to herself nowadays.

The hatred was still there, but she seems to have learned to see them as a squad member rather than their born status. Some weren't liking how she treated them given the position, but some of them were praising the practices of her willingness to adapt.

Months have passed, and now she has been training alongside the youngest son from Vermillion's family. Still, some other times, she will ask for help from her more experienced seniors, especially the vice-captain, Randalf, given that his attributes are wind, which is the same as the person who she has been growing up with.

With his bits of help, she could be more comfortable since it reminded her of a certain dark-haired boy that she been missing.

"Tired already!" Leopold taunts as the fireballs disappearing one by one into thin air.

Sitting up from her position, her hair that has grown longer now been put up into a ponytail sway as the wind hit her face. "I guess that will be it for today." She groans, feeling her legs getting weak from using too much mana. "I don't think I have any more energy to summon anything anymore."

"It is getting late too, so we better get going now." He states as he approaches her.

"Really?" Kana looks up only to watch the sky that now no longer clear blue. "I didn't even notice." She mutters and looks over at her beast companion resting under a shady tree surrounded by wildlings that have been resting around him. "Muku! Come on, and we're going back now!"

Muku's ears twitch as he heard the girl's voice. His jaws wide open as he let out a yawn revealing his growing sharp teeth and his now slithered bright blue eyes open as he looks at his human companion readying to go back to the base.

It has been obvious to the others that the dragon has grown this past few months. Instead of a cute little beast that chases around his tail or butterflies fluttering around, he has grown scarier and looks more like a grown-up dragon. Even his size has been increasing from the height of the girl's hip, and he's now reaching Kana's shoulder.

Thus, however, the girl seems oblivious over it as she keeps on letting him hung around her shoulder with his tail coiling around her leg.

His appearance has become scarier, making few members afraid of approaching her since he keeps staring at whoever dares to come close to her.

Few have pointed it out, but she just brushed them off, saying that it may because he been eating so much that his size increased. The problem was, even his looks have changed, and yet she still didn't realize it.

Waving over the wildlings that have become close to the three of them, they bid their farewell for the day.

"Nervous about tomorrow?" Leopold asks as he glances over the girl as she has been fixing the strap of her bag with Muku hanging around her.

Looking in deep thought. "Just a bit. I never thought I would get promoted into a higher rank."

"You should be proud of yourself!" Leopold laughs, feeling proud of his junior.

"Really?" She smiles bashfully, scratching her chin.

"Of course! You have been going like a mad person doing missions! We even get lucky getting merits way through it!"

Kana nods, petting Muku's head. "I just get lucky with those merits." Sighing out loud as she remembers back the days after she got permission back to join the others. "Captain was ruthless with the missions. He didn't even give a break." Shivering as she remembers the expression on the man's face as he represents her with tasks.

"Haha! Yeah, he can be like that sometimes. But it also because Crimson Lion need to beat Silver Eagles on the ranks or-"

She stops listening to the young Vermillion ramblings over his brother's rival, the captain, to the other squad. She didn't remember his name, but she does recognize the man, especially because of his weird braided hair.

'What's for dinner tonight?' She tunes out as Leopold rambling beside her with fire blaring in his eyes. 'Yuko-san did say that she will be making something special tonight. Wonder what it is?'

As both of them are stuck on their moments, Muku watches back and forth between them, knowing fully well the situations happening in front of him.

Turning at the noisy boy, "Their rivalries was an absolute since they were-," he then looks over his female companion, who looks in a daze as she watches the sky turn color.

'Maybe she was able to get some tatoes, I kind of been wanting to eat them.'

Letting out a low growl, he lowers his head and continue taking a nap, letting both of them with their own world.

-Next Day-

Leopold has gone ahead to the Magic Knight's Headquarter along with Fuegoleon as Kana decided to take her time, unlike the overexcited shrimp, which has been running around the base like his pant on fire.....

Until she makes it true by attacking him for being too loud.

Kana walked out of the door made by her fellow squadmate that kind enough to use his spatial magic to transport her directly to the headquarters ' front.

As she continues her ways, a voice that she knows so well stops her from taking another step.

Turning around, a huge smile took overexpression as her eyes befall on two-person that she been dreading to see.

"Asta! Yuno!"

"Kaaaanaaaaa-chaaaaaannn!!" Asta shouts out loud as he runs toward her, but as he about to arrive first at her, Yuno uses his ability and push the ash-blond boy away from her and proudly present himself to her.

Kana's eyes twitch as she pinches the bridge of her nose. "Somethings never change." She mutter.

"It been so long, wasn't it?" Yuno asks with a smile on his face. He didn't hide his excitement over the fact that he's able to finally the red-haired girl after months of being apart. He notices her skin tanning a bit, and despite her petite figure, she has also been growing some muscles. Her hair has also grown longer, unlike her since she's more comfortable with her hair being short ever since they were little.

But the thing that he notices the most is the twinkles in her eyes. It was as if a spell had been lifted out of her as the emeralds looking brighten than before they were sorted into different squads.

"It was, wasn't it?" Kana chuckle as she looks up at Yuno. She reaches out as she playfully measures his height. "Someone has gotten taller."

"Kana-chan!!" Asta, who finally recover from being thrown away, approach her with his eyes twinkling with hope.

"Asta-" She trails with her eyes looking at him from top to bottom. "You didn't change at all."

As if being punch, Asta falls comically with tears falling like a waterfall. "So cruel~" He sobbing as he sat on the ground, sulking.

Kana let an amused sigh. 'I miss this.'

"Ano~"

Turning over the voice, she finally realizes three new faces that seem to have been standing behind them for quite some time.

The person who spoke up is a girl with greenish-amber (yellow in manga) eyes and long wavy vermilion hair with bangs on her forehead. From the look at her attires, the girl was noble-born, but she didn't seem disgusted or annoyed from her presence, same for the girl with pink eyes with long silver-colored hair.

Instead of looking disgusted at a commoner like her, she much more looking that she is having an internal battle with herself as she was nervously looking back and forth at her then over the ash-blonde hair.

Then there's another person, a man taller than Yuno, wearing glasses over his slanted light fuchsia eyes. His pale blue colored hair is short and pushed to the sides and back to look neater, which from attire she can also assume, a noble-born.

"Teammates?" She glanced over her childhood friends, who nods in sync.

"This is, Noelle!" Asta grin widely as he shook the girl's while holding her shoulders.

Noelle turns bright red with smokes coming up from her head. "H-h-how dare you to touch a noble like me?!"

"Again!!!" Shouting as he once again being thrown away, although this time by a girl from his squad.

Kana watches in bored look as he flew over her head then looks over the dark-haired boy.

"This is Mimosa and Klaus-san. They're also Golden Dawn's members." Yuno introduces his squadmates.

"I see. Nice to meet you." Kana bow a little with a smile, but Yuno knows fully well that she fitted with her inner self now to show her dislike over them.

"You're Kana-chan, right?!" The soft melodic voice girl approaches her abruptly and holds her hands. "Yuno mentioned your name a lot!"

Kana glance over the culprit but instead of looking guilty or shy, he seems proud and shameless as he smiles at her. "You little-"

"Yuno, keep on saying about you whenever I said your name." Mimosa excitedly states, flowers floating around her as her expression turns lovingly. "He was very talkative when it was about you. He-"

"Hold up." Kana raises her hand, stopping the girl from continuing talking. Irk marks forming around her forehead. "What did you told them?" She asks directly toward the boy himself.

The boy straightens his back and shamelessly state. "I said 'I will become Magic King and marry Kana-chan-'"

THUD

Asta laughs out loud as he approaches them. "This really brings me back!"

"Will you grown-up already!!!!!"
