"What a disaster?" Leopold scratches his head as he glances around the farm.

Both members have been brought over the farm to search for any clues on the culprit. Just like the chief and his daughter have told them, their farm is in states of chaos with the veggies that have been pulled out and the fruits have been pluck including the unripe.

"Yosh! Let's get this started then!" The older boy fired up the glance over his junior only to see that she's frowning in thought. "What's wrong?"

Kana walk passes him and kneels over the pulled carrots and tatoes. "Don't you think it's weird how they all been left around?"

"Who knows? Maybe it just some sort of sick jokes?"

The red-haired girl sigh. "Do you honestly they would play around with all this?"

Leopold tilts his head. "What do you meant?"

"Look around." She stood up and motion over the village. "This is a village in the outermost area. The only resources for them to live would be from planting their food and grow them. Just like livestock where they have to breed by themselves. This village is located far from the other villages or even inner regions. People don't just play around with their food here. Unlike nobles, our ways are to live from hand to mouth. That's why royal like you won't understand it." She spat and walk away leaving the shocked boy alone frowning at her words.

The messy vermillion haired boy could only watch as she walks away knowing that it would be adding fuel to the fire if he chases over her. He let out a sigh and glance back over the farm. Only then when he understands her words. The corps and fruits have been left lays around untouchable. Not even one of them being eaten or destroyed, just each one of them plucked out of their place.

Looking deep in thought, something caught his eyes over the fence. He took it between his fingers only to frown. "Isn't this-"

After leaving her comrade, Kana walk around the village hoping to found some clues and to cool her head off. It was quite unfair that she suddenly snap off over her senior but her mind filled the memories where it was hard for her and those at the church to earn foods even when some of the villagers have kindly enough to share some of theirs but still, with the numbers of the children among them, it still harsh for them.

There some days where she have to give her share away toward the youngest, even Asta and Yuno have to go through a day with an empty stomach. Tatoes are the only food they manage to get with the budget they have but just enough to fill themselves.

Lucky for them as they got older, some of the villagers agree to give the trio jobs so they could earn extra money for the church. Father and Sister Lily disagree with the idea since they have vows that they should be the ones taking care of them not the other way around.

Thus, however, the three of them still work around brushing off their words in hope that it will lessen their burden.

Thinking back about it, Kana smile sadly remembering the look on both of them after they give them their first salary. They held a small celebration with tatoes and the smile on the youngest children who happily eat without care warm her heart.

The feeling of satisfaction grow over her seeing that her effort truly paid off and now remembering those days back, there's not once did she hate doing it. "Maybe I shouldn't be too harsh at him." She mutter.

Sudden movement catch her eyes only to fall on Main, the girl from the Chief's house, his granddaughter. She's clutching something over her chest looking like she's in hurry.

Kana hid over one of the stacked crates and watch as she glances around and quickly took off over the forest. She slowly walks out of hiding place and goes and follows the younger girl.

She slowed her steps and try to silence her steps, not wanting to alarm the girl.

The journey wasn't too long as she hides once again seeing the Main have stop and lowering herself in front of a small cave. She looks around to make sure nobody following her making Kana cower behind one of the nearest trees.

The younger girl's attention turns back over the cave once she felt the course is clear. "You can come out now."

Kana's eyes widen as she watches in awe as a baby dragon jump out of the cave, happily greeting the girl with a playful headbutt. The baby's height just over her hip. It has white fur which darkens over the tips of the ears, tail, and claws. The spikes on its body also have a darker color that trailed over its tail. Bright blue pair of eyes happily dancing around as it playfully chases over the human girl who shouts in glee as it jumps on top of her making both of them fall.

Main scratch her beastie friend chin earning her a delightful sound. "I'm sorry but I can't stay too long Muku-chan. Jiji has called magic knights about the thrashed farm." She sighs and softly knocks the beastie's head. "That's why I told you not to come out. I could do it myself."

"Muku~" It tilts its head in confusion, earning another sigh.

"Do you have an idea of how dangerous this is? What if they took you away?!"

Muku lowers its head guiltily.

Main smile. "Pushing that away, look what I brought for you today!" She reveals contain folded cloth, a bunch of fishes. "Go on, eat up!"

In a second, Muku happily gobbles up the fishes while the girl sits with a smile, happy to watch her beastie friend eating.

"This truly ease up our work." A voice state.

"We got to thank the kid for this, right Porla?" Another add with a laugh.

Main jump with a squeak of fear only to face with two men in purple cloak. One of them has short dark green hair and another bun greyish blue hair.

"W-w-who are you?!" She jumps in front of Muku in defensive manners.

"Don't mind us-" Porla smirk with his grimoire floating in front of him. "We just here to claim our bounty! Suna Kōsoku Mahō: Haisen dōmu (Sand Restraining Magic: Wiring Dome!)"

Hundreds of think spikes made of sands shoot out surrounding Muku in seconds and are shaped into a cage.

"Muku!" Main run over her friend who cried out, frightened. She tried to help it out but in not vail as the sand harden making it hard as steel. "Let Muku out!"

Porla glance over his friend and they laugh out loud. "Stupid kid. No hard feeling kid but your help no longer needed."

"As our parting gift!" The greyish-blue hair man declares. "Shokubutsu Mahō: Hōshi no Dangan! (Plant Magic: Spore Bullets!)" Numbers of spores created and fly directly toward the young girl's eyes widen in fear while Muku thrashes in the cage in hope of saving its friend.

"Honō Sōsei Mahō: Yakedo Baria! (Fire Creation Magic: Scald Barrier!)"

A liquid-like fire form protectively in front of Main making her eyes widen in awe at the person standing in front of her. Upon touching the barrier, the bullets explode but didn't affect it even a bit.

As the barrier slowly disperse both of the bounty hunters' eyes widen as their eyes befall on the one behind it.

"M-m-magic knights!"

"Hunting this innocent animal is one thing but attacking a helpless girl! You disgust me!" Kana shout with anger written all over her face. "I will beat the crap out of both you!"

A/N: I actually finished this chapter days ago but I end up didn't like it. So I decided to change it and it took me some time to change the plot. Luckily I end up liking this one.

The next chapter will probably update in few hours or tomorrow so stay tuned!
