Kana was helping Sister Lily bringing over the laundry that needs to be dry as they walk pass Asta that have been trying to awaken his magic.

"Why?!" The ash-blond hair boy hit the ground in despair. "Why is it I still can't use magic?!"

Sister Lily sigh as she put down the heavy laundry while the red hair girl already flapping her part of laundry.

"Sister! I'll hang up the laundry!" Asta suddenly state as he notices the older girl tiredness while the younger girl didn't even care as she continues her work.

"Thanks, Asta."

"So marry m-" The boy starts his usual daily propose routine.

"No." Sister calmly decline.

"Mar-"

"Nope."

"Mar-"

"No."

"Marry me, please..."

Kana sigh. "How pathetic." Her comments making Asta cried out harder but she turns when she hears crying Nash hold by teary Yuno with Recca follow by his side.

"Don't you start crying too, Yuno-nii." The girl state noticing the black hair boy was in the teary state.

"Nash... won't stop crying..." Yuno stutter between his crying.

Asta quickly and confidently points at himself, stating. "Yuno! Leave this to me!"

"Asta..." The dark hair boy stated out in awe.

"I'm gonna be the Wizard King, after all." The hyperactive boy adds. "Making a baby or two stop crying is a piece of cake!"

"That doesn't make any sense." Kanna coolly states as she stands by sister side who awkwardly chuckles.

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"

The oldest girl words were proved as Asta start lullabying or rather shaking Nash roughly making the kid cry harder earning him a triple tier lump on his head by the red hair girl and took away the crying child.

"See Nash." Kana snaps her fingers and a tiny flame appears. The warmth emitted by it catches the boy's attention making him glee in amusement. She then starts moving her point finger making the flame dance around and change colors which make Nash's eyes brighten in awe at the sight.

The others couldn't help from also being interest in it including Asta who quickly recover as they all awe at the red hair girl.

"Way to go, Wizard King." Rekka tease.

"Shut up." The ash-blond boy sulk.

"That's awesome Kana-chan." Yuno cheer earning him a soft smile from the praised girl.

"Thank you, Yuno." She thanked the black-haired boy making him blush.

"There we go." Father Orsi hops off the broom and walks toward them. "Hi there. I was wondering if one of you would run an errand for me."

"Me! Me! Me! Me, me!" Asta cheer, offering himself. "I'll go!"

"Would someone deliver this to the mayor?" The older man continues not even caring about the loud boy.

"Me, me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me!"

Father walk pass the hyperactive boy knowing that he wasn't fit for the task. "It's a very important letter, you see... Yuno, could you do it?" He asks the dark hair boy, kneeling in front of him.

"Geh?!" The ash-blond boy froze in shock.

"Why am I not surprise that you weren't chosen." The red hair girl sigh.

"Huh? Me?"

The older man's expression turns nervous. "Well, it's a very important letter, and I'm hesitant to leave it in Asta's hands, so I'm counting on you. I have to go see the mayor in the next village over. I have to ask him to spare us some food to make it through the winter. As it stands now, we just don't have enough tatoes."

"Way to scare him off, old man." Kana state.

"Yuno, I'll go." Asta whine, sulking earning him a cop on the head.

"Let it go already."

The dark-haired boy looks around nervously. "No." He shakes his head to Asta offered. "Father asked me to go. I-I'll go." He put on a brave smile.

"Will you be okay by yourself?" The other boy asks, making sure.

"I could go with you if you want." Kana offers herself.

"I'll be fine." Yuno smiles reassuringly and took off. "I'm heading out!"

"Be careful!" The red hair girl warns which he waves his hand understanding.

Asta and Kana share a look in a bit worry.

"Come on, Asta. Chop some wood." Rekka speaks up. "You can't use magic, so at least do some manual labor."

"Shut up!" The stated boy scold back. "Did you even dig up the tatoes that you were supposed to?" He follows the young girl.

"I dug up the ones for today a long time ago. Kana-nee helps me out so I manage to get it done faster."

"Huh?! No fair!" Asta shout out then turn toward the red hair girl. "Then Kana-chan-"

"Die." She simply states, walking pass him with Nash giggling in her embrace making the ash-blond hair boy fall in despair.

"So cruel!"

"Yuno's taking an awfully long time." Sister states in worry.

"I'm hungry." Asta sigh with his hands folded on the dining table.

"And Father isn't back yet, either."

"Let's just eat without them." The impatient boy state earning him a knock on the head by the red hair girl.

"No! That's not fair to Yuno-nii!" Rekka voice out.

"Boo." The only left boy tch in annoyed when he actually also worry about his friend's well-being which didn't go unnoticed by the flame manipulator girl.

With a sigh, she goes back to the kitchen to help sister preparing dinner. 'What's taking him so long?' She thought.

"Eh?" Sister blinks in confuse catching the red hair attention. "Where's Asta?"

"Asta-nii just took off 10 minutes ago," Rekka inform.

"Tch, that idiot." Kana state as she took off her apron and run out of the church.

"Wait, Kana-chan!" "Kana-nee!"

'You idiots better be okay.' She chants in her thought as she runs as quick as she possibly can which proved to be quite hard with the snow became thicker and thicker.

It was her half-way to the town when she saw Asta being dragged by Yuno who seem terribly injured. The injured boy's hand was draped over the dark hair boy shoulder as support for him.

"Asta! Yuno!" Kana shout out catching both boy's attention.

"Kana-chan!" Both of them exclaim in shock and clench their eyes shut, embracing themselves to be hit only to find none. They glance at each other in confusion than back at the red hair girl.

"You idiots." The girl state as tears brimming down her face and she pulled them into her embrace. "Don't make me worry like that."

"Kana-chan?" Yuno breathe out in surprise along with Asta who left speechless than slowly they accept the hug, letting the girl cried out her worries.

 'I'm sorry Kana-chan.' The dark hair boy though closing his eyes. 'I will train myself to grow stronger and stronger so that I can become Wizard King to protect you and everyone. That darkness in you..' He opens his eyes with new determination. 'I will help you through it all. I will make sure of it.'
