A/N: Firstly, I would like to apologize for not updating for so long. I love this story and new ideas always came up for me to write new stories and for the next chapters for the others.

I want make sure that everything is connected which the route that I'm choosing for this story I have to do a lots of research. But I kinda have everything I need for now and I will try my best to keep updating as soon as I can.

I also been having some problems within my family and this have cause my minds to be in quite swirl from all the drama. I try to write some chapters but something always came up and my daily have been quite frustrating making it hard for me to focus.

"Found you!"

Kana glance over the source of the voice only to watch Leopold trying to tangle himself out of the bushes. He must have got lost or fall during the search seeing some twigs are sticking out of his hair and some leaves ruffling between the locks.

"So this is where you been hanging with." He took a seat right in front of her who been leaning against the tree with a baby raccoon on her lap.

Some of the animals have run off after sensing his presence and some stay to make sure he won't be a threat to their new additional member.

"How do you know I'm here?" Kana finally speak up while scratching the back of the kits making its roll in happiness.

"Nii-san wants to see you and he told me that you might be here!"

The look of confusion wash over her. 'How did he knew?'

Leopold scoots over so that he would be near her and he suddenly bows so low that his head hitting the ground. "Sorry!"

"Huh?" She sweats drop.

"I have been a complete idiot! I asked nii-san why you have been avoiding me." He then raises his head and looks in thought with his hand pose over his chin. "He said that since it was inappropriate of me to calls you peasant."

An irk mark appears on her forehead.

"I guess he was right since peasant won't like to be called peasant right?!" He nods with a smile more likely not noticing the irk marks growing around the red-haired.

The wild animals have scurried away as they can visibly see that flame igniting around the girl.

"I guess that solves it right? From now on I won't be calling you pea-"

THUD

Kana stood in front of the Crimson Lion's captain with Leopold by her side who been pouting as he rubs over his sore bump on his head.

Fuegoleon sweat drop knowing fully well what happens between them.

"You asked for me?" The scarlet haired girl asks.

"Right." The man stood up with a cloth in his hand. "This robe is a representation that you are one of us. A member of Crimson Lion."

It was a red robe that has gold intricate designs at the lower front edge with Crimson Lion's insignia located at the center back of it.

She receives the robe and stares over it.

Leopold eyes shone excitedly. "Go on! Wear it!"

"Do I have too?" She mutters distastefully.

"Remember what the magic king said? You have to be part of the squad and join some mission. Those are the terms you made with him." Fuegoleon reminded her. A small smile escapes him as he watches the look on the girl's face that told how unhappy she is with it.

With a sigh knowing that she lose the arguments, she wears the robe over her head and watches as it falls right over her torso.

Both brothers have a smile of satisfaction painted their lips.

"Now you finally part of us." The captain state.

"Yaho!" Leopold cheer, jumping around childishly.

Kana glance away with a blush on her cheeks. "What's the big deal about it anyway?"

"Now." Fuegoleon starts leaning against his desk. "As a new member of the squad, you will be watched under Leopold supervision which meant that you two will be spending a lot of time together. Since you didn't have much experience, Leopold will be helping you around. You also can ask for help from senior members, I'm sure they would be glad to help."

Those words however blocked out as her brain stop by his words that she will be spending most of her time with the annoying noble brat.

Leopold grins widely and pats her shoulder. "Guess you show start calling me sen-"

A burst of flame erupted from Kana's fist and in seconds the older boy found himself plaster over the wall with a huge crate surrounding him.

"DIE!"

Fuegoleon sweatdrops as he watches the girl fuming in anger as she walks out without another word. He sighs watching his younger brother fall flat on the floor with his body cover in ashes, shouting.

"SO CRUEL!"

The older member rubs his forehead feeling that these two will be the death of him.

~ A Few Days Later~

"Heh~ So this is Kirin-Zao Village. Not bad!" Leopold happily glances around in awe.

Kana sigh as she watches the older noble boy hopping around in awe. True to his words, Fuegoleon has given her first mission which much to her dismay, with the boy that annoyed her much more than certain ash blonde haired boy.

"Oi! Hurry up! They should be waiting for us at the chief's house!"

An irk mark appears on her forehead.

"Geh!" Leopold jumps upon noting the change of aura on her. He has learned the past few days spending or rather trying to bond with her after learning that he will be taking care of a new member which he quite proud of by the fact that his brother has given him such duty won't be as easy as he thought it would be.

He wants to show to his brother that he could trust him with the task of watching over new members. Thus however the girl was nowhere of helping to eased up the task.

The red-haired girl has proved to be a challenge to him that she reminded him so much of his hot-headed sister which makes him shiver just by thinking of her.

"We are here," Kana announce upon their arrival at the house of the village's chief. She peeks around the village while the boy goes and knocks the door. 'Why is it so quiet?'

"Oh! You must be the magic knights!" Cheer an elderly man with a smile of relief upon seeing them. A younger raven-haired woman was by his side greet them pouring some tea for the guest.

"Crimson Lion at your service!" Leopold proudly states with his thumb pointing at himself.

"We are so thankful that you finally arrive." His daughter state with a welcoming smile as she took a seat after offering them some drinks. "I'm Ōura and this is my father Spetto."

"Nice to meet you!" Leopold bow with Kana to follow along. "Leopold Vermillion-" He points over himself then glance over the red-haired girl. "and this is Kana."

"Vermillion?" Both of the villagers gasp upon hearing his name.

"Oh my!" Ōura bow a little. "What an honor to have you here."

Leopold scratches the back of his head bashfully. "N-no need to be so formal. I'm just here to help. Can we know what has been bothering around here?"

Upon those words, both of their expression turns grim.

Spetto sigh as if remembering something tiring. "It all started a few weeks ago. We don't know for sure what the cause of this. But something or someone has been destroying our crops and even messing and thrashing around the market-place. Some of the stalls got destroyed and stole the goods. We also become afraid to leave the house. But if this goes on, we might not able to live through the winter with no supplies of food to get us through."

"We tried to catch the culprit but never succeed," Ōura adds sadly.

"Hmm, that is quite troublesome." Leopold nods in acknowledgment.

Kana just silently listen from the back but a movement catches her attention. She glances over the door over the side of the room only to fall on a girl just near Recca's age.

The girl was peeking by the door by her eyes are on the floor with a thoughtful look on her face. Feeling like someone watching her, she looks up only to flinch by the fact that the red-haired girl has noticed her presence and quickly took off.

"Ah." Ōura glance over where Kana's looking at. "That's my daughter, Main. She's a bit shy."

Kana didn't utter a words but she knows by the look on the younger girl's face, she knows something.
