-The Clover Kingdom-

(Sorry for the poor editing quality. I tried......... and this is all I can achieve.)

The sound of firework echoed through the city as the trio walks around the common realm, Kikka.

They couldn't help but in awe at the new sight around them which is nothing like their village.

"Whoa, this is so awesome!" Asta exclaims glancing around as they gape at the sight of tall buildings with unique structures and the numerous stalls with people around.

Kana smile as she watches a man magically summon out a bouquet of flower and a woman bursting out her magic into a glass jar.

"Awesome!" The shorter boy loudly exclaims as run over a stall where a man using his magic making an apple and knife levitating while peeling it with some exotic fruits that they never see.

"One sec. It's almost done roasting." They heard another stall owner announce as he firing up the meat, cooking it.

"That looks so good!"

Asta then took another detour as a display of magical items being shown over the window. "Wow! They have so many different kinds of staves and items! But they're so expensive!" He exclaims looking over the price.

"It's so different from our village." Yuno calmly states as he walks over him with the red hair girl by his side eyes widen over the number of zeroes on the items.

"Ah! Is that where the Wizard King is?"

Her attention was turned by Asta's question as she looks over where he was looking at. Her eyes widen at the sight of the castle at the very top of the mountain.

"And probably the king, too," Yuno adds.

"So that means that'll be my castle someday." The shorten grin with his fist tighten up, determination written all over his face.

"You mean mine."

Asta smugly turns over both his childhood friends. "Don't worry, I'll let you live there, too."

"That's my line." The taller boy smirk but the cries sound of a child catch their attention especially the red hair girl.

They glance over and watch as the oldest out of them carry the youngest over her back with her hands full of groceries. Right behind her is two other children which all share the same dark red hair color.

"There, there. Don't cry. Let's hurry back and get ready to open up the shop." The oldest state as she tries to calm the crying infant.

"Reminds me of everyone back at the church." Asta finally speaks up.

Kana watch as the redheads' silhouette disappears with a smile of longlines. "Guess this place wasn't so different after all."

"I'm sure Sister and the others are lonely now that I'm gone."

"Not a chance." "Like hell, they will." Yuno and Kana state in sync as the walk up ahead leaving the shortest gape at them.

"Hey, wait up! And Kana-chan so cruel!"

They keep on roaming around the city watching at the sight around them.

The fire magic user glance over the ash-blonde hair boy who happily munching an odd-looking food.

"So where do they hold the Entrance Exam, anyway?" He asks with his mouth full of food.

"Probably over there." Yuno point over where people are gathering. He then glances over the shorter boy watching him eating. "What is that?"

"Grilled purple snake. It super cheap." He explains causing Kana eyes to twitch in disgust. "Want some?"

"No." They both reject his offer.

"It's super nutritious and will give you lots of energy!"

"Not a chance." "Like hell, it will."

"Let's go this way." The wind magic user turns and walks over where the examination would be held.

They watch as people crowded all around as plenty of them also will be going to take the examination.

As the trio walks across the main door, both sides have people gathering to cheer for the possible future members of Magic Knights.

"Do your best on the exam!"

"You are the Clover Kingdom's hope!"

Hearing those words, Kana's expression darken which only notice by the tallest boy who silently walks by her side.

"The future of the kingdom is in your hands!"

"Stay focused!"

"I'll do my best!" Asta waves to the crowd.

"You don't know him..... You don't know him...." They both mutter under their breath as they quicken their pace.

-Registration section-

Kana approach the counter as it was her turn to present herself. "Kana from Hage Village."

"Kana from Hage... Can I see your grimoire?" The man asks.

"Here." She shows him her grimoire.

The man looks in confused at her grimoire but didn't ask more as he just registers the girl up. "You're #163. All right, next." The man behind the counter announces.

With that, she walks to the side waiting for the other two.

It was Yuno's turn and he approaches the counter. "I'm Yuno from Hage Village."

"Yuno from Hage... Could I see your grimoire?"

The boy then presents over his grimoire which makes the man gasp over it.

"An f-four-leaf clover..."

"So that's who everyone's talking about." She heard someone state.

"Hey, that grimoire..."

"Is it really a four-leaf clover?!"

"Wow..."

"You're #164. All right, next." The man state.

Yuno calmly walks over the side by the girl's side as he joins her waiting over Asta.

"I'm Asta, also from Hage Village! Here's my grimoire!"

Kana chuckle at the excited look on the boy's face as he happily shows his tatter grimoire.

"This is pretty filthy. Is this really a grimoire?" The man comment which causes her smile to flatter and on verge of attacking him if not for Yuno holding her scruff.

"Huh? Of course, it is! Take a good look!" Poor Asta practically shoves the grimoire over the man's face in a nervous state. "See? See?"

"All right, all right..." The man rudely pushes back the grimoire and register the boy over. "You're #165"

"Got it! All right!" Asta happily runs over to his friends. "Kana-chan!" He excitedly calls over with both hands raised.

The girl chuckled as she waited with her hands raise and they both high fiving. Yuno simply smiles as he watches the red hair girl silently hear the shorter boy rambling in happiness.

All the participants gather inside of where the entrance exam about to be held.

Kana watch in awe over the beautiful structure of it but her attention was attracted to something perch over her shoulder. She glances over and saw a small bird that has black feathers on their back, wings, and around their face. It has red feathers while their undersides have white feathers over its face. The beaks are black and have a pair of feathers that are shaped like downturned horns.

She smiles over the shoulder and opens up her palm letting the little bird jump on it. She happily pets the bird's head who chirp in happiness by the contact. "Aren't one cute little one?" She mutters and glances around watching as there hundreds more of the same kind of birds approaching the other contestants. Some of them even being peck by them.

Unbeknownst to her, the bird has been staring at her in confusion as it tilts its head a little. It could feel the mana in her but couldn't decide what levels is she as it senses a swirl within her.

"The infamous anti-birds of the exam venue." She heard someone explain.

"Really? This thing?"

"The weaker your magical powers, the more these guys flock to you."

The red hair girl frowns as she glances around her noticing that no more of the anti-birds around which left her in state of confusion as she doesn't earn such massive amount of magic in her.

"Hey, look at that guy." She hears someone exclaim in awe catching her attention. "None of the birds are going to him."

She turns to where everyone was looking at only to see that there's not even a single bird near Yuno making her smile knowingly.

Rumour spread around about him being the owner of the four-leaf clover grimoire making people in awe and even some fangirling over him.

The messy black-haired boy remains unfazed even when people around him were awing over him. Thus however his eyes only focus on one person, the one who helps him find his strength, he walks over the girl who cooing over the bird in her palm.

Upon sensing his magical power, the bird flutter away leaving the girl pout over the loss of her playmate.

"Sorry." Yuno apologizes as he watches in sadness at her expression. He truly didn't mean to do so as his attention was only to approach her.

Kana glance over him and watch a look of guilt on his face which kind of remind her when he was a child. She offers him a smile. "It's okay. Don't worry about that. Now stop doing that face you cry, baby." She lightly punches his shoulder which brightens up his expression.

Their interaction, however, was interrupted by a voice full of smugness that they know so well.

The fire user turns over the shorter boy and her eyes widen at the sight in front of her.

"One of us is going to become the Wizard King. Our legend's beginning now, Yuno!" Asta confidently states. "I'm gonna show you just how much I've grown in six months... Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow! Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!"

They watch as the birds start chasing and peck him making him run in a circle trying to get rid of them.

"I don't know whether to pity him or envy him," Kana comments as she watches the boy run back and forth. "Those birds truly adorable but the one on his head look a bit different than the others." She mutters to herself in the last part.

"What the heck are these birds?!" Asta shout in annoy.

The other contestants laugh over his silliness and some even make fun of him.

"Talk about a loser!"

"That's pretty bad, even for someone from the boonies."

The black aura emitted around the red-haired girl making Yuno slowly took a few steps back knowing so well of her temper.

"Oui." She calls over those who bad-mouthing the ash-blonde haired boy.

Most of the contestants glance over her only to flinch at the amount of dark energy emitting around her.

"Got a problem with him?" She darkly asks.

One of them swallows hard while the others were trembling mess as no one is laughing anymore.

"D-d-d-don't you think t-t-t-that g-guy look-"

"Look what?" She cut him off with her eyes narrow dangerously making him shut his mouth tight.

"I-I-it's nothing." He blurts out. "P-p-p-please excuse us." He and his friends quickly took off.

"Tch, just a bunch of big talkers." She clicks her tongue in annoyance.

Feeling that she has now cool off, he goes and approaches the girl but can still see the steam coming out of her head. He pats her head and softly ruffles her hair making her peek over her eyelash and see him smiling at her.

She blinks. "What?"

"Nothing, it just that you have never changed."

"Huh?"

"One more thing." Yuno state moving his hand away then point over where Asta with his head in a death grip of a tall man with a very muscular build. He has grey eyes and black hair of medium length that is messily combed backward making it stick outwards.

Kana sigh. "I don't whether he was the one always searching for troubles or troubles just attracted to him."

But the sound of fireworks seems to stop whatever they are doing as the large man releases Asta and walks away with two others who wear the same kind black banner with the squad's insignia on it.

Their attention than once again distracted by a group of people appearing. Each one of them emitting a massive amount of magic that cause the anti-birds to fly away. Thus be the truth, even the participants can almost see the power that held over each one of them.

Yuno glances over his side and flinch at the look on the girl's face. He always thought her expression upon mentioning the Magic Knight was truly spine-chilling but this one, the one that plaster on her face is nothing like he ever sees. Her expression gave a blood-curdling scream telling how much of hatred she held within her.

"Magic Knights." She hisses with hatred laces over each word and her fists clench so tight that her nails press over her palms leaving red crescents mark.
