You kicked your shoes off, cracking your head from side to side as you walked inside your house. You turned the lights on, keeping the bottle of banana milk on the table. You looked around, not seeing your daughter.
"Soyeon!" You called your daughter, hearing footsteps as your four year old daughter walked out of her room with her hair opened, she sat on the table with a little bit of struggle because of her short height. "Banana milk!" She yelled, smiling at you as she quickly got up on the table, crawling to her treat.
She sat on the table comfortably, and opened the bottle easily, despite her being small, she was really strong. You got up and walked behind her, "Why didn't you tie your hair?" You asked while taking the comb and hair tie from the table, she shrugged her shoulders.
"It was really difficult, and RapMon broke the hair tie while tying my hair, then he got a call from someone and left saying 'don't leave the house, or a black clothed man will kidnap you and cut your hands.'" She imitated Namjoon's voice, as you laughed. "Gosh, how can he say such things to a child?" You said and pulled her closer to you,
"But mom, when are we meeting dad?" Your smile dropped. "Who told you we're meeting dad?" You asked her slowly whole tying her hair, trying not to panic. "No, I know he doesn't real, but I was just wondering." She laughed, "Well, soon enough if you're lucky, you'll have a dad." You smiled.
Although all the boyfriends you had in the past were useless, you still think that someone, somewhere is still there for you, you're not old, and you won't regret falling in love, again.
"Really?" She asked, eyes rolling as she sipped on her banana milk. "Yeah, maybe." You nodded and sighed. "It's getting late, don't you have school tomorrow?" She groaned. "I hate school, that boy keeps trying to be friends with me." You raised your brows. "What boy?" She sighed, "I don't know his name, but he brings chocolates for me and tries to get me to be his friend." She sighed.
"I'll see for that later, but you should stop your education for that. I'll also have to go to office tomorrow." She thought for a while. "Then wouldn't Taehyung uncle be there?" You sighed. "No, he won't." You tried not to give her much information.
"Why?" She asked, lips tugging out as she raised her brows. "I have a new boss, he's sick so he has taken a break, but maybe we'll meet him on Sunday?" Soyeon smiled. "Alright, I'll have to mark the date. Don't forget about it, mom." She grinned.
You picked up the box that had a golden plate Mr Jeon on it, not caring people's excitement as you walked towards the office which will belong to Jungkook, absolutely no emotion on your face.
He isn't here yet, but will be by eight, you were given the duty to set up the table and office before he arrives, you need to be prepared to have any type of attack he gives you, which obviously is insult. You don't think he's quite interested in your child too.
Yesterday, out of your curiousness, you decided to go through his social media page, and was shocked to see how much progress he has done in the few years, of course he was successful when you were married, but now he's famous too, after like two years you finally decided to enter social media, and all you saw was Jeon Jungkook, he was the brand ambassador for most of the famous brands in in the country, and was at the cover of literally every magazine. And the most shocking fact was that he has a girlfriend, that quite explains why girls were crying in the toilet a few weeks back.
People were crazy for him;
Poor people, they don't know how much of an asshole he is, they criticized you when you two were divorced, saying you were the worst wife ever, and that you were ugly.
You settled the box on the table with a thud, you would want to throw them out of the window along with him, but your life has kept your hands cuffed.
You settled the plate on the seat, random books and paintings were there. Apparently, the company provides all these paintings to make their image even higher, they bought expensive paintings for the offices,
You remember one time when Taehyung sneezed on a million dollar painting, his father almost had a heart attack.
You hung the painting on the silk white wall, setting the books on the shelves and dusted the chairs a bit, making the office look lively again. "I hope you a very bad journey." You clapped your hands together, huffing.
"Jesus Christ, he's here!"
Random screams and squeals made you roll your eyes in annoyance. "Mrs Song, aren't you dressed too much today?" You asked your co-worker, who was dressed like queen Elizabeth. "Really? I didn't apply much lipstick though." She rolled her eyes at your comment.
The doors opened, and a man; your ex-husband to be honest, walked inside, looking like the fake beauty he is. Dressed in a clean black suit, tie as perfect as ever, and shoes shining like the Sun. His hair were grown just a bit, a pair of black shades covering his brown eyes, the smell of the cologne he used was not at all familiar, you didn't even want to remember that handsome face you wished to punch.
"Welcome to Kim Industries, Mr Jeon." You grinned at him, he looked down at you, raising his brows.
"I'm your PA till the time you are here, I'll do my best to make you comfortable. My name is Kim Jia." You were quite sure he recognised your name, he smiled down at you. "Thank you, Ms Kim." His voice didn't change at all, it was still annoying.
"I'll work hard as the replacement of your boss."
Those words sounded really take from his mouth. "Jia, please show Mr Jeon his office." Taehyung's father, the president of the company popped behind Jungkook, grinning.
"Of course." You said, as Jungkook walked ahead of you.
You stayed quiet and opened the door for him, "As for now, you can get familiar with the environment and do some paperwork that Mr Kim couldn't get finished with. From tomorrow you can attend meetings." You said.
Jungkook's posture changed, he took off his black shades and placed them on the table, leaning against it, he raised a brow and looked at you from head to toe, before taking a step forward towards you. "You've grown into some high standard woman, haven't you?" You smiled.
"I always had high standards, just some dickhead swallowed my golden period of life, but we should keep personal things out of our work, shouldn't we?" You said, trying not to sound obvious that you were cursing him.
"Of course, we'll have quite fun working together."
